¡¡ʎǝuɹnoɾ s,ǝpuolqǝǝzʇıp - same old, same old!

I just don't know how to put into words how I feel after reading the news of little baby Florie... I'm so very sorry Linz... No parents should have to experience such loss... But it does make you appreciate what you have all the more... The saddest posts I think I've ever read... My heart and thoughts go out to the parents, Florie's sisters and to you Linz x x

I've read about Florie, typed messages and then deleted them again.

There really are no words.

My thoughts are with your friends x

god bless baby florie, she will always be loved and her memory cherished

Errrr nope!:sigh:

Hi all....

Thank you for keeping my diary warmish!

Holidays were lovely... very chilled! Weather wasn't on our side, we had one day of sunshine, the rest was either gale force winds, showers, torrential rain or fog!

Campsite was divine, open fields right on the cliff top next to the coast, huge huge amounts of space, radio playing in the loo's & washing area, got to hear about all the lovely riots!!

Stunning 15 min walk to Hartland Quay Hartland Quay Hotel where we enjoyed a few glasses of the red stuff & local ciders, plus th incredible views!

Abseilled down a 25ft sheer slate cliff edge to a private secluded beach, had a bit of sunshine on Bude beach to do some body boarding, did some rock climbing, spent every night up late around the fire pit drinking & chatting, played plenty with the lovely weimaraner Lola & Charlie the retriever, went rock pooling, went quad biking, fed cows, herded sheep, played with puppies, chilled, chatted, drank, ate & occasionally slept if the wind was quiet enough!!!

We had 50 km an hour winds a couple of nights which combined with rain meant a few damp spots inside the tent but it totally did us proud & even with that our spirits where no dampened!!

I have posted a ton & a half of photos on facebook, links below if your interested!

Our first morning home was a bit of a drama... ended up with an ambulance here at 0700 hours for Amalie (via NHS direct I didn't call them!), she woke at 0530 in alot of pain complaining of pain in her shoulder, stomach & chest with laboured breathing.... she was abolutely fine, infact perked up no end once in the ambulance, the ambulance men where totally fantastic, after checking out Amalie they then called out Jacob & carried out the same tests on him so he didn't feel left out, let hmi sit in the cab & put the lights on & showed him around everywhere!! Amalie was fine & has been since then apart from a few moments where her breathing still hasn't been quite right, Pauls worried she's going to inherit his asthma!

Apart from that yesterday was spent, washing, airing, cleaning, tidying & reorganising... funnily enough after my first night back at home in bed I woke with such a bad back & neck yesterday... was very tempted to get the airbed back out!!

Today was a really good day, wasn't in the mood for work but it was a good first day back, passed really quickly & had a good chat with my boss about how I was getting on!!

Saturday was baby Flories celebration day, she was laid to rest at 1130 on Saturday morning, Beth & Sam had invited all of their friends up to their farm in Yorkshire to celebrate her short life after the service, they had 160 people camping over, sitting by camp fires & spending time with them until yesterday afternoon (we couldn't go as we didn't leave Devon til lunchtime on the Saturday) on Wednesday I am buying a rose from our local nursery which is a rose specialist called Special child & it will be planted in our garden in memory of the beautiful Florie.

I had a message today that her heart has been dispatched, have all of a sudden got very nervous about it & that I have done the right thing!! I do hope that it will be loved & treasured by them but do have reservations about it now its on the way to them!

Hope to catch up with you all, am managing to work my way thru the bazillions of posts I have to catch up on. xxx

OOOOOO on Amalie, glad she is ok and hope she is not heading for the asthma, you must have been really worried!

Some really good photos, the one of the campfire is spectacular :)
Shame the weather was not better for you though, but it is nice to have you back.

They WILL LOVE the HEART :D trust me xxx

Funnily enough I wasn't really, wasn't expecting an ambulance & the crew called it NHS redirect! I was expecting a trip to the docs after 0900 not blues & twos!!

It is good to be back tbh too... missed you all!

Here's the heart....

Morning Linz, those photo's are spectacular, that must have been frightening for you with Amelia though love.

Morning Linz and welcome back after your windswept time! I love Bude, stayed in a cute manor house there over the other side of the tourist info place a few years back. Hope Amelie is OK now?

I think the heart is lovely, I am sure they will treasure it, and I also love the idea of the rose - a beautiful way to remember her.

We missed you!!! When's our next get together? xxx

Morning gorgeous. The heart is lovely and do not worry, its a wonderful and lovely gesture, as is the rose xxx

Thanks Jim... lovely scenery isn't it! Funnily enough I wan't too worried I seem to stay calm in those situations, guess that why I've always been a first aider wherever I've worked. x
