hey hun, my fiance is a coeliac and he eats loads and quite a varied diet. Ok, so cooking methods need to be adapted and you need to plan more if you are going out, but there's still plenty you could have...
he gets these yummy part-baked baguettes which are gluten-free, I make him gluten free cakes sometimes from a cake mix you can get, which is so tasty!! He buys gluten free muffins and hot chocolate puds, gluten free sausages and chicken nuggets. When we eat out he can have most things it just means checking with the restaurant to make sure what he has chosen can be done gluten free. People are very accommodating. And roast dinners are exactly the same as normal, as long as the gravy is gluten free (some of the bisto gravies are gf so you dont even need to buy your own special one!).
I know its a pain but actually it doesn't interfere with our lives at all, and in fact his diet has improved because of it!
Hopefully it will come back negative though as I guess its a bit of a pain to not just be able to eat whatever you want without thinking about it. If its positive, you'll get used to it very quickly and may even find it helps you in your weightloss!!
