How did the run go Tan?? Gosh - 6 miles is a heck of a distance! xx

Oh I am not happy Jan! :(
It took us 1hr17mins  Nowhere near good enough. I'm really angry at myself but i think i know the reasons why: different route including a massive hill (i have to change this its very steep) i had hot cross buns for breakfast instead of muesli & no disrespect to my little brother it was nice to run alongside him but I can't really run and talk I like to zone out with my music and crack on and final one, its the first week back after 2 weeks off. I did 3miles straight yesterday, no problem and maybe doing a 6miler day after wasnt what my body needed.

So i'm a little disheartened :cry:but then when I think about it thats almost half the distance of the half marathon and I do have another 19weeks to crack 6miles in 60mins. Do you think its possible?

I have to get that 1/2 marathon in 2hours. I have to no questions!!

I'm that unhappy about it i've just betted with my brother that in 4 weeks time we are running the 6miles again and we are going to get it in under 1hr 10mins.

We-eeel tbh I DID wonder if you were being a little ambitious after a break but thought ... 'what do I know'?

I don't know about 6 miles in 60 mins - I mean that's 6x10 minute miles one after another - sounds very ambitious to me but again - what do I know?
I don't mean to be pessimistic, I just don't want you to be disappointed if your targets in the time limits aren't realistic, but you need to ask someone who knows a hell of a lot more about it than me!
I DO think running such long distances every day after a couple of weeks off might not necessarily be the best thing for your body.

But I still think you're marvellous!!! :) xxx

I know that now Jan :( Ive got 2 more days of running this week which are 3 miles and 4 miles which i know i can easily do. Next week my long run is 6miles again which i will do probably wednesday after a days rest.

I have to do this. I am determined :)

I guess 6miles in 60mins is a little unrealistic for me but i'd be happy there abouts. I just want to cross that finish line as close to 2hours as possible.

Hey listen - don't let me put you off trying or put a downer on it honey! Mrs Original Couch Potato knows nowt!! ;) xx

LOL!
Im just on a downer cuz of that time today!
My legs are absolutly killing now. That will teach me to never to that again. Mapping out a different 6mile route as we speak one that doesnt involve a massive steep hill! lol

I'll get there, or there abouts. Its not going to be an overnight process so I just have to be patient :sigh:

That Christmas thing has got a lot to answer for ... and the snow!! ;) You'll get there, as you say!! xx
