Yayyyyy to the shorts being to big. Even tho the scales don't always shift in the right direction the running has you totally toned. Good news on the shift too. Enjoy it.
 
It's always a great feeling when clothes start feeling looser no matter how much you have to lose. Good for you Tanya and like you said, you'd bet get some more shopping in now!
 
Aftnoon :D
Left work an hour early last night and managed to have a lovely sleep! Much needed.

Off for a 10miler in a minute. It's drizzly outside which I dont mind, much prefer running in the rain :)

Tuesday 5th April

*10mile run (1:56:58 1,409 burnt - tough on the thighs today)

B- porridge with s.s milk & teaspoon sugar

L- peppered beef grill steak
baby pots
lettuce
cucumber
red leicester cheese
light salad cream

mullerlight

D- nature valley fruit & nut bar
carrot sticks & lf sweet chilli houmous pot
plum

S- sports drink
banana

Todays run was tough. Lesson learnt: don't scoff half a pack of biscuits, galaxy chocolate, carvery and only drink 1/2 pint of water and sips of lemonade the day before a long run!!

Time today was 1:56:58
I missed one teeny steep hill which probably would have added on another 30secs - i just knew my thighs wouldnt carry me. I stopped a couple of times today but still managed to keep a good speed and time i think.
5mile time: 57:33 (34s faster)
6mile time: 1:09:16 (.16th faster)
8mile time: 1:29:54 (1s faster)

I have also learnt that there is a difference between gun time and chip time on race day. This has made me :( as according to gun time, if i wasnt one of the front starters i'll be coming in after the 2:30hr mark which means the barriers will be coming down etc but yet my chip time will give me my actual race time which will be under 2:30hr. i'm majorly annoyed at this so mission is to make sure i'm as close to the start line as poss otherwise seeing those barriers coming down will crush me when i know i probably only have about 5mins left.

Sorry for the long post - i mainly do it so when i read back i know how the runs have gone etc :eek:
 
What you apologising for?? No need at all. That's a bu**er about the barriers etc - you'd think they'd give people a bit longer wouldn't you? But it's the chip time that really matters - as you'll find out when you do a full big marathon, as getting near the front on those days is well nigh impossible!! xx
 
Just thinking about it Jan is making me :( as i know running in and seeing the big clock over 2hr30 is going to devistate me and i'll still carry on running over to whereever it is to get my chip checked to find out my actual time asap! haha

Although I reckon i will only be around 5-10mins out from the gun time to the 2hr30mark.

And a full marathon!!!! Now there is a goal if ever I was going to set another ;)

Tanya, I see no reason why you won't go on to a full marathon. You obviously love running now and it seems to love you as you are good at it. A friend of mine does one marathon every year. She says that always knowing she has it in her calendar makes her keep up a good level of fitness throughout the year.

Yeah, that is a brilliant idea to keep you fit. I think i'll defo keep up with the plymouth half marathon each year.

Duno about loving running today - my thighs are not going to like me tomorrow!! hahaha
 
I've got a shift this week yay!! :party0049:

Just munched some carrot battons & a mini pot of lf caramelised onion hummous pot ;) got some chutney snack a jacks for work. Still can't believe my biscuit binge today - that was shocking :rotflmao: Hate to think what the scales are going to do friday!

On another note I did try on 2 pairs of shorts and a skirt today that I had last summer and I have stacks of room in them :D I don't even think I can wear the shorts anymore they're hanging lol Any excuse for new clothes ;)

Yep I texted him! LOL I can't help feel like I pester them all the time but really when I think about it they should expect that as theyve always said they're not coming running to us for shifts, if we want them we have to arrange them. So I guess I don't pester them as much as I reckon! LOL

Sooooo last night when I got home from work I munched 1/2 slice of white bread :eek: & a thin slice of ham :doh: I was very hungry indeed!

Wednesday 6th April

B- 2slices medium wm bread with mixed fruit jam

L- salmon, boiled egg, lettuce, cucumber, 3 baby boiled pots, spoon of elf mayo.

S-carrot sticks & mini lf sunblushed tomato hummous pot

They are one of the things that whenever I attempt to make them they never turn out right!!! Ask me to bake a cake fine! Ask me to cook a fried egg or flapjacks naaahh lol x
