Go for it, I'd love to be asked on a date these days! The OH and I are wonderfully worn-in now and I remember the initial giddy dating phase very fondly. Earlier in the year he spontaneously booked dinner out at a lovely restaurant by the river, and arranged that he would go first and I would meet him there. It was like a first date all over again - I was so nervous! I suppose it was the best bits of a first date though because I knew I liked him..!

Ahh Emily that's so sweet :) I remember our first date so well, we had met in a pub a few days before and already had a kiss (get me- hussey! Haha) so I was so nervous getting ready, my mum had to do my shoes up as I was shaking so much! Knew right from the beginning before that first date that he was the one :) still get butterflies with him but nothing beats that early days feeling :)

That's what I was thinking at least I can give the rest of ye a laugh anyway if I go!

I always hated the initial phase, I always liked being more settled, but I'm pretty sure that all comes down to me breing a wuss about going on first dates etc haha

You should def go for it ciara, you might be about to meet the love of your life! X

Good luck and well done to those who have already weighed!

I've done online dating (match.com to be precise!) I've had 2 shots at it, I met up with someone the first time and then lost interest in the site. The second time was at the start of this summer, met with one guy and we were going out for 4 months. I was head over heels and was so happy but in the last couple of weeks of our r/ship, my feelings had change and I finished it. Felt awful and he was gutted :(
You will get tons chatting to you / asking to meet up. My best advice is be selective and use your head :) I haven't tried again since I finished with the bf!

I was so scared going to my first meeting..was going with a friend but she was late, so I went in alone. Don't regret it though :D I may be on the hunt for a new group though as my C has resigned so we are having weekly stand ins which isn't the way forward. My group go through loads of Consultants, it's a bit of a tough area as Jesmond is full of students (I'm not one!) Gonna leave it for a month or so, then I may make my way around some other local ones!

Hope you find another new group that is good Jo. There is only my consultant that covers all round my area. Just heading off to her other group. Had to detour because a road is closed from flooding. Nana is watching Nate, I had to distract him with his ride on lion and sneak out and give Nana buttons for him should she need them. Haha bribery is the way forward.

Big wave to all absentees.

Well done ciara. :)

Scarlet have you ever done a pro and con list to losing weight. If you do that, pin up the pro list somewhere you will see it and work through your con list, breaking down those cons it might help prevent you from self sabotaging. Or you can tell mq
e to shut up, Haha.

Well the photo thing was humiliating :( summed up by my exclamation, "oh your other miss slinkies are actually slinky!" And my consultant, "yes, but you are going to be woman of the year." Not helping Helen!

I have Fran but I don't find it as motivating as I did before I lost any weight. My BMI is right on the border between healthy and overweight and there are days I feel good about myself and think- ooh one chocolate bar not counted won't hurt, then one turns into 4 and I feel disgusted with myself! Then other days I feel so horrible to begin with, with nothing perks me up so I get back to eating crap!
Just feel a bit stuck.. I'm sure I'll sort myself out soon just on a bit of a yoyo lately! Ignore me! X

:woohoo:2.5lb off for me tonight - meaning I got my Club 10 and SOTW! So happy!

Scarlett, we are not going to ignore you - you're a valued travelling companion on this ol' wagon and we're going to make damn sure you get there with us! Do you think you could find other not-so-naughty but very nice things to treat yourself with? For me it helps having hot chocolate in about every flavour going and the chocolate HiFi Lights/Alpen Lights for when I need that pick-me-up. I know some people just need real chocolate, but it keeps me away from the full on Boost bars!

One thing I'm not going to do is ignore you!

You have summed up what is triping you up. How about setting up nice things to do for yourself on days you wake up and feel crappy? A new nail polish cheers me up and stops me eating, or getting some posh bath stuff - mum likes lush (i'm allergic) something that is nice for you and treats you :) as for days you feel great and want extra bits remind yourself a little treat is maintainable, keep a before and feeling good picture with you might help. It helps a lady in my group who has been at Target for over 700 weeks.

Emily thats fab well done!
I think I do need to get back into having things like the options sachets on hand and planning a bit better. Since august when I was in hospital kinda slipped even more, lost so much money having 3 weeks off work been playing catch up ever since with funds so all non essentials have been scrapped. Will def try to put some low synned treats in to help, plus trying to do something to distract is a good idea! It's the days at work that throw me off, and as I'm there at least 12 hours a day its a long time! Think I need to do a weekly meal plan, was really in the zone when I used to do that so maybe that will help, I even planned snacks and took a bag of food to work each day. Might not be able to start it till Monday after shopping but will do my best with what's in! Thanks girls x

To be fair, there were 3 people that should have been SOTW ahead of me that didn't stay, but she read down the list and got to me and I was a little bit disbelieving but our lovely WI lady had already written my certificate and was ready to pounce with the sticker! I also reached my Christmas Wish this week - but I know things go a bit hectic from now on so December will be a lot tougher...

Your days do sound horribly long, Scarlett. How's the behaviour chart working out? I'm terrible at planning but at least I have a Tesco just by work and by home so if I need anything I can nip and get it. I think I'd really struggle otherwise.

Well done all the same emily! And getting Christmas target already is fab!
Yeah the chart is going well thanks, I haven't needed to use it every day which is good. If we have a bad day I bring it back the following day and now they've each had a day where they've lost their reward as a result of bad behavior they know I mean what I say so usually just the suggestion of the chart perks up behavior! Long days are an occupational hazard of being a nanny unfortunately, I have to be there before the parents leave for work and stay till they get home, and when they do 8-9hr days in London and need to commute it all adds up! Some days I'd kill for a 2 hour train journey to build up to a day at work and unwind afterwards! Lol
