20 somethings

weather here sucks too, well blows to be more accurate! had to catch an old lady who was almost blown off her feet on my way home, poor dear could barely keep in a straight line she was blown all over the place! :(

ooh that dinner sounds lush clare, whats your recipe?

sounds like a nice place to live fran, id love to have random animals stroll into my garden! hope the rest of the quails stayed safe, poor things :(

omg havent had steak mccoys for ages! yumyumyum....

so much easier to reply to everyone on the laptop, my phone loads a new screen to reply so cant scroll up and see what im replying too- i dont usually just talk about myself lol, i tend to write my news then cant remember what everyone else has said, can keep looking back on the laptop though!

Ugh such a long day! But a good one. I've been at a conference. Did lots of networking for work and even had someone assume I was the replacement for my boss' boss!

I took my own snacks with me just in case, and it was a good job too because they only laid out sandwiches and pastries for lunch! Last time I went to the same place and they had hot food and what would have been fine on EE. I did have a mini chocolate chip cookie on the way home but I was on a shaky sugar low.

The OH is out at a beer festival tonight so I'm curled up in my pyjamas catching up on my TV. Bliss.

Well done all you low-syn lovelies!

Ooh Clare that sounds Yum. Dinner tonight felt so naughty. Had a teaspoon of ketchup on my chips too. And 1st time using co-op wholemeal rolls and they are delicious, much nicer than Tesco. Now debating having a sausage sandwich for breakfast tomorrow. Mm.

So glad you've had a good sw day. Debating having an Orange options or a rocky road hifi bar. Decisions decisions. Remember if something wanders in your garden it will eat your plants and poop in your garden too. The badgers have built two sets at the top of the garden, big holes and piles of rubble. Gits.

I'm afraid I'm a salt and vinegar girl myself. Mmm. *drools*

Go you Emily. You should be your boss' boss!

I put far too much chilli in last time too Scarlett lol. It was nice, but god it was hot!

Excuse the constant posting. Trying to stay awake in college!

well done emily thats planning for you! you obv made a good impression if they thought you were the big boss! what do you do for work?

pjs and tv sounds lovely, but to be fair so does the beer festival lol. mike is about to go and play footie so im going to have a shower, get in my grumpy cow pjs and have a hot choc infront of the tv :)

Hello everyone :) have had a mega long day work wise, but literally the best SW day I've had in a really long! Currently on 3 syns for the day, and planning on having a choc orange options later when I'm a celeb is on :) so pleased with myself!

Would normally have between 10-15 syns but am at a wedding for 12 hours on Sat (and have just been informed that the evening buffet is hot roast beef and pork sandwiches - can I resist the baguette when drunk haha!?) so just trying to sensibly do a bit of damage limitation where possible, without depriving myself!

I have a question; I've not had sausages since starting SW, as usually think I'd rather have bacon and save syns, however I think I will have a proper 'cooked' breakfast on Sat as we won't be eating again until tea time...I only want to use a couple of syns on breaky at most??

Let the great sausage debate commence!! X

Thanks guys. I must confess on the way home I was seriously contemplating nipping to the chippy for tea but thankfully I had some leftover roast veggies and a 1.5 syn microwave in 10 min lamb shank in gravy in the freezer so plan prevailed!

The easiest way to explain what I do is to say I make something a bit like Google maps for the military. Unfortunately Google have hundreds of people and I work in a team of 3 so it's a bit of a challenge!

I second the vote for Sainsburys sausages! I tried the Tesco ones and didn't really like them but the Sainsburys ones almost taste like full fat! Gorgeous!

Or for syn free go for the Linda McCartney red onion and rosemary. Yum!

Hmm have heard lots about the Linda mcartny ones, am really adverse to quorn etc, what is the texture like of these? Xxx

Linda McCartney's sausages are very different to Quorn. I love Quorn but am not keen on LM. The Joker detests Quorn and will only eat LM (when he eats veggie sausages).

Lm normal sausages are 99p in lidl this week, dont think im brave enough to try meat free stuff as I know it will be a waste if I dont eat them as no one else will, plus im on part time wages so I go cheap with lidls sausages 8 pack for 95p and they are only 3.5syns so not bad for good tasty sausages

I am funny with textures so hate quorn but I really like the lm red onion ones. Mum likes them too. I have to force things on my parents so they know they do like it. She said they are like faggots. Which i havent tried.

Emily how did you get into that job? Sounds so interesting. And well done for being so sw good. Parents are eating chocolate so I'm having an Orange chocolate mullerlight. Yum.

Ooh I hope you're feeling virtuous!

I did a geography degree and then thought about teaching so I went and did learning support at a secondary school for a couple of years. I couldn't progress anywhere unless I did teacher training, but I didn't feel like I had enough life experience to do it properly. I went on a job site and just searched for anything with geography in the listing that wasn't a teaching post - this was about the only thing! I got lucky because we haven't been allowed to recruit since.

Ah very lucky. Makes your degree worthwhile too!

I did feel quite virtuous but it's pretty much a daily thing. Got a higher syn day tomorrow (woop) so no issue. Not as good as you being prepared against sandwiches and pastries!

Starting on my second sleeve after having to unravel and restart a whole bunch of the other one and finishing it last night. Keeps me away from the munchies!
