20 somethings

Haha nothing wrong with smiles, glad your having a good enough day to be smiling :)

Welcome hollie x

Jo the cards are fab! Definately something I would buy from a shop, dont do wedding invites do u? Lol x

I've really annoyed myself today by getting mixed up between green and EE, was planning a green day but when I got to the shop near work they had no jacket spuds, so I got a grilled wholemeal BACON butty...having already had my 2 hifi lights for breaky...then had a bag of quavers...all this takes me to 15.5 syns for the day when I wanted to have less than 10, n it's WI tomorrow...really want a good loss as I've tried so hard this week, and feel like I deserve it!!

PLUS mam and dad are having Indian tonight and asked what I wanted...I said nothing I had my tea planned, and when I went to make the jacket spud I've been wanting ALL day, there are none left here either! Grrr! Xxx

aww I hate that laura. we did it today with having goulash instead of paella, no one fancied it today, but it involved extra trips out. Did you get something nice for tea in the end?

Scarlet, looks like you were having a good day with all the smilies :p Sounds like a lovely day with the boys. I hope they behaved nicely :) My grandad sent £25 for Nate for Christmas, and considering the aquadoodle I was hoping would go down in price went up in price I'm looking at getting him craft paper, washable paints (that have good reviews for washingoutness!), stickers (which I discovered he LOVES this week), sponge shapes etc.

Just had a hazelnut cadbury highlight (2 syns) didn't taste nutty but was ok I guess. I will stick to chocolate orange and chocolate mint options.

Oh Laura. I hate it when that happens.

I'm in a foul mood. Overtired, and weighed this evening and it looks like a STS unless something changes drastically. Fed up.

My OH presented me with a gorgeous bottle of black tea and elderflower vodka (a few of my favourite things) which lifted my mood, and then said "Now you're smiling..." He's fallen for a marketing gimmick where they were offer

Oops - offering a tablet for £50. But it also means increasing subscription costs by £8 a month for 18months. So stupid. It's not even a model he wants, and I know lots of his family are giving him money for Christmas so he could buy the one he does want. I'm so cross. I know it's his money but it is such a waste!

Ahh lyrically that is annoying! I'm in a bit of a grump tonight, just tired, full of cold and sick of work, wish it was the Xmas hols!

My tea ended up being lean bacon, topped with baked beans and my hex A of cheese. Bit pathetic but I enjoyed it, just didnt know what I wanted!

Xx

liking the him cheering you up bit. an extra £8 a month for 18 months is getting him to pay an extra £144 for something he doesn't want. He has 30 days to change his mind... or rather for you to gently point out it'd be silly to pay out for something he doesn't really want when he could buy something he does really want, and his family that give him money would really like to know it went towards something he really wanted.

I spent some of my grandad's money on that lovely coat, something I needed and really like, he's happy I have, don't think mum said quite how much of the money I put towards it. Hehe. And I'm picking out stuff for the money he's sent for Nate. So I can wrap it up and put his name on it.

Laura, that sounds pretty tasty... did you make the campfire stew in either the september or october issue of the SW mag? (I think it was october) it sounds pretty skanky but it was rather nice.

Ooh no not heard of that Fran, but it sounds nice? Any idea where I can find the recipe? I don't have the mags xxx

He's going to call them tomorrow and see if he can cancel and retain his previous subscription rate. The trouble is they no longer offer his previous subscription, he'd either have to get less stuff or pay the £8 increase. So silly. If they won't let him keep the subscription deal then he might as well keep the tablet!

ooh eerr. um, i'm not sure. I will have a quick look... yep I can't find it online anywhere, which is annoying. It's basically sausages, sliced onion, sliced yellow/orange peppers, lots of paprika, and tins of beans. haha. Sounds lame but it was quick and easy :)

Oh Emily that sounds well annoying. Urgh, wrong time for stressing with subscriptions with xmas hubbub.

Thanks for letting me bend your ear, Fran! Feeling a lot better about it since the OH and I have had a proper chat. Spent tonight booking the taxi to the airport for Friday and getting our holiday money which helps. :D

I made a chicken and chorizo jambalaya tonight (onion, red pepper, chopped tomatoes, garlic, cajun seasoning, chicken, chorizo, rice, chicken stock) - nice and easy and very filling! I did double the veg just to be sure it was EE.

My skin is so itchy at the moment. I think my body is objecting to the cold. I might have to start having baths with some baby oil in.

Another staff Christmas lunch tomorrow - not quite what I need the day before weigh in! Time to sneak off to bed - I think I'll be asleep in seconds flat. Night night everyone.

Ah Emily my ears are pretty bendable :) Pop to boots and get some Aqueous Cream. I keep getting flare ups of eczema (never had it pre Nate - damn child) in cold weather and this really helps. Good luck for the lunch tomorrow... eep. Not looking forward to Wednesday Weigh in either :( BUM

Hi Princess, you are posting just fine *waves*

Ahh, decided to go for Dara else I might stab my brother as he is moaning at Sarah Millican, plus he is cheaper. :D Ahh mum said to me "are you due on soon?!" me: "yes." her: "Do you want me to put you in a box!?" haha. I get so grumpy PMSy. I've been picking out presents from my grandad for Nate too... Ahhh, so much cuteness!

My OH is lovingly applying cocoa butter moisturiser to my stinging legs as I post. I asked him to get me baby oil and creams tomorrow and he's worried the shop assistant will think he's up to something dodgy if that's all he buys! I had eczema badly as a child when it was coming up to moving schools. I tend to get cold weather flare ups but I think I'm probably also quite stressed out with job stuff, the dreaded plateau and all the Christmas politics. I think I might start hibernating!

Welcome Princess! xx

I bet you are stressed! Haha, they won't. I was trying to pay for some rice cakes for Nate in boots on Saturday, and a woman comes up to the lady serving me and goes "excuse me, could you tell me where the vagicil is?" and the boots lady didn't bat an eye lid. I was restraining giggles. If she doesn't want me giggling at her vagina don't butt in when I'm being served! So so long as your OH doesn't butt in when an immature person is being served he'll be fine. Ha, Vagicil.

Vagicil lol id have giggled too, its annoying how the embarrassing things people have to buy are always behind a counter lol

They shouldn't give medicines names like that! It's like Anusol! They should all have pretty and non-descript names, like Bonjela and Tixylix - although they'll probably turn out to mean 'hideous ulcer' or something in a foreign language now I've used them as examples...

It's freezing here this morning! Apparently we're stuck under a freezing fog - our flat is so cold! They put in silly ventilation bricks (like they do under a house or for a blocked up chimney breast) but because we're a first floor flat the air just whips in. It's so hard to get our bedroom warm. It doesn't make me want to get up in the morning...
