20 somethings

Unfortunately she is the only one near me :( she says that Kate moss quote all the time. I'm naughty and joke to people near me that she is eating the wrong things, Haha.

I ****ing HATE that quote. It's such a stupid thing to say. No one is trying to be Kate Moss 'skinny' (or anorexic!)
 
I don't mean it in that way as who in their right mind would want to be so skinny they look ill, yuk women should have curves :) But for me personally it makes sense because I know I will get a bigger kick in buying some size 10 jeans again or getting a positive result on a pregnancy test than eating a bar of chocolate/slice of cake etc that will take me over my syns and that works for me so I'll grasp it with both hands, I need every little bit of help and/or motivation I can get as I could easily go off track lol so hope that makes sense.

I don't think a consultant should be saying it though as I can imagine it would come across quite badly or even critical, SW should be supportive and should not make anyone feel bad plus KM is not really a good role model

Fran love your joke, really made me laugh :D Such a shame she is the only C near you but the most important thing is this is working for you, you have lost an amazing amount in such a short space of time whilst still living your life and enjoying yourself xx
 
There's a difference, IMO, in using it as personal motivation and TELLING someone to use as motivation. Urgh. It annoys me. No offence meant though!
 
SO easy, I think I got it from this site tbh -

Cook rice as normal, I use boil in the bag so for 2 people plus leftovers I use 2 bags. I prefer basmati rice but long grain works too. Put rice aside to cool, overnight if possible but not necessary.

Chop chicken breasts and fry in either fry light or if your pan is non-stick enough then fry in a little soy sauce.

Mix 1 egg with 2 tbsp of soy sauce.

Add cooked rice to the pan with the chicken and mix well.

Add soy/egg mixture and mix again.

Voila!
 
Aww thanks star, it's all gradual, no big wow losses. Recently I've been a bit off plan but my weight loss has increased, slightly worried it won't keep up. My C has been doing it for 20 years. So I can imagine things can get a bit routine.

That rice sounds good. I love the sw chicken biryani recipe from the march magazine. Soooo good.

But that is the best way to do it and keep it off so you'll have no trouble in the long run, maybe you should become a consultant? You'd be able to get quite a few members if there is only one alternative group :) 20 years is a really long time so she must know what she is doing. I haven't always stuck and I still have ok losses on those weeks. Is that Chicken Biryani spicy? I am sure I still have a copy of that mag so might look it up but I am a wimp when it comes to spicy food x

I have WI tonight and I think I'll have a gain, I thought I'd stuck within my syns on 6 of the 7 days but I have been using stuff up this week and messed up a bit as I thought peas, sweetcorn and parsnips were super free (had lots of these in the freezer and wanted avoid going to shops) and I thought polenta was free...turns out that veg was free but not superfree and polenta is really high syn so I will have gone over everday by mistake and hardly had any superfree to make up for it and I had a bit of a blowout the week before so knew I needed to be careful this week and to make it worse period started this morning 3 days early so I'm bloated due to water retention and have had a fun day of cramps :( The only positive is I know whatever I gain this week will have gone by next x
 
I also spent some time this morning looking through lots of recipes as I've hit a bit of a rut and want to make some nice new things from next week and it really reminded me how much I am looking forward to getting my slow cooker out again and if today is anything to go by it'll be out sooner rather than later as it's flippin cold today!

We had a lovely sunny day. How odd. Really looking forward to stews, brews and casseroles though! The biryani isn't hot but really flavoursome. Thankfully we have a very good spice cupboard and a great health food store in a neighbouring town should we run low. I did the marsala chicken from the hairy bikers book the other day. Delicious! Going to have a go at their cassolet tomorrow i think, a few syns for wine and cornflour... And ww sausages.

I hope weigh in goes well. It is easier to deal with a gain when you know where it's come from.

Thanks guys, I did gain 1lb but am fine with that as I know that will be gone by next week. I was still feeling quite ill so didn't stay for the whole group, it was 7.40 and still hadn't started so I left...

I like flavour but not heat so I will look that recipe up. I got the new hairy bikers book last week and I am really looking forward to trying some of their recipes :)

How are you getting on this week Ch? Hope everything is going well xx
 
Guy in my office is leaving today (I shouldn't celebrate but I will! ;)) and he's brought in croissants and pain au chocolat's and various other lovely things. Must avoid.
 
Not sure yet lol

Was supposed to weigh this morning but normally no one else is home except my OH so I wear as little as possible to get the best results but the guy we live with is home sick camped out on the settee and we got decorators in so that wasnt possible unless I wanted to put on a show lol I may have to wear some light clothing instead later, will let you know, im sure I gained by monday at least 3 and half lbs because of the birthday celebrations on the weekend so not expecting much different to that x
 
Hi ladies. There is so much to catch up on it would take me weeks but I've had a good read through. Life has been a bit chaotic this week so had not much chance to get on, went a bit off skew again last week and put 3 on :0 but back at it today! I seem to say that a lot!! X
