Hi Again!
I'm okay, thanks. I couldn't make JUDDD work for me. I found I was doing day after day of about 800 to 1200. I was either losing very little or STS. I really want to do JUDDD as it's supposed to be beneficial for asthma as well as weight loss. I will try it again, but not until I'm at goal.
Anyway, my dad fell very ill in August 2012 (last minute ticket to US during Olympics). I spent 3 weeks with him in ICU, and then at a rehabilitation facility. I stopped exercising during that time (and wasn't even doing my "normal" hamster wheel of housework) and gained about 9 pounds. After I returned home, it was a last minute family holiday before DD return to school, then I was back in the States in October to be with my dad when he had his hip replaced. Another gain, though not as great. And, then Christmas... 10 months of yoyoing and never getting back to what I weighed before dad fell ill (he is okay now over a year with the new hip). Then, I became very sad in October 2013 and continued to struggle through the holidays... I started 2014 weighing the most I had since I was at goal in 2009 or 10.
Sooo, eight days ago I started Slim and Save (but I'm trying for between 700 and 800 calories a day, not the very very low 640). I've lost 1/2 stone in the first week and should be at my highest 2013 weight pretty soon. I have my "baby steps" broken down in my signature. I have about 31 pounds to lose to be at the top of my target zone. Then it's another five to my goal weight. It's a lot -- especially as I'm only 5'4" (if I fluff hair). I need to make this work -- the only way I've ever gotten to my goal weight was through a VLCD and exercise.
I hope you can find meetings you like and times that work. It seems very trying. Good luck.
