A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step

The fashion show was great they were all little stars! think there are a few budding models there! Def all had the attitude and posing right anyway lol. Has gotten really hot here today although not very sunny so expecting a thunderstorm at some point i'd imagine!

Bought myself a little treat today to celebrate my 1 stone award :p .... 2 barry m nail varnishes & a l'oreal lip gloss...... going to get myself a little treat for every stone i lose to keep the motivation going :)! Hubby says he will treat me to a Karen Millen dress when i get to target yay! (what he doesn't realise is that i'll need shoes .... and a bag to go with it lol:D)

ooooh thats a good idea never thought about that... i'd have :confused:*does very slow math lol* ...... £16 lol! i could end up with £73 though! so its a nice thought!

lol just reminded me how unfeminine I tend to be. I've been making an amazon wishlist of things I might choose to buy once I have lost some/all weight. It is a double motivation as it is also reminding me of the positive side about going back to work - wages are fairly useful things!

In contrast to your elegant treats, I have things like a bracelet with little skulls on, gothic inspired clothing, and clumpy new rock boots :D it's the sort of things I love but usually don't have :rolleyes: but you know as time has passed I have grown into myself and am less worried about not quite fitting in with the norm.

I think little rewards are definitely a good thing, and if someone else is buying them even better lol.

Life would be pretty dull if we were all the same hun!:) I am always perusing online stores etc for things i would love to wear but daren't right now! Today i even had a look round a few clothes shops:eek: i tend to avoid these as i only dress out of necessity! (actually that makes me sound like a nudist :eek: i just mean i do not enjoy choosing/wearing clothes... yet.... that still makes me sound like i love parading in the buff lol think i should just stop lol before i dig a bigger hole!) does any of that make any sense lol?? So i am starting by buying little things like nail varnish and lip gloss then i might progress to a nice pair of shoes or a top... maybe lolxxxxx
 
I know what you mean, I remember liking clothes better when I was slimmer :( I don't often wear make up either, I had some on on saturday night and that was the first in... well 6 months or more I can't remember haha.

I have started to wear nail varnish in black though since morning sickness cured me of my life long nail biting addiction :) I have worn other colours sometimes and will again, but I think black will be my most often used colour. I need to think of something specific for my 1st stone, think I have a while yet to choose tho lol.

Morning ladies! yes we have the rain too :( think the summer is over?? Was hoping we would hear today about the house but nothing so far! Haven't got much planned apart from the school run today, then it will be a quiet afternoon in the house if the weather stays like this! Hope you are both well xxx

Love hubby's idea of the dress from Karen Millen, mine would probably have suggested something form Ann Summers...lol

A suggestion for you next treat, buy some individual nail transfers with gems and a top coat, and put on your big toes, little finernails....looks so professional and so pretty to look at x

Yes i was very surprised he suggested Karen Millen, but then he knows it was my fave shop pre children!

Thats a fab idea i hadn't thought about that! do i get it in boots or dept store? Def want to give that a try! Thanks hun!

Boots I normally get them, but have also had some in the past from superdrug, I prefer the ones that are already a design, like a flower or heart, as opposed to the individual gems.

I'm good today, my boy is happy and my girls exams have finished so all good xxx

If I can find one of the packets amongst the endless collection of nail varnishes etc I will post a pic, for you to know what I mean.

This evening, my daughter has ombre'd (like you have your hair dyed on the end) her nails with the use of a cosmetic sponge, have to say, thought it was rather good, considering.

Another one of her rather fab nail ideas are to paint your nails in white nail varnish, cut out small pieces of print from a magazine, wet your nails with antibacterial gel, place the paper pieces on top, and the lettering will transfer to your nails, cover with top coat and looks fab!
