A yummy (and happier and healthier) mummy - for good this time!

It's annoyingly easy to gain weight though, I feel like I have to constantly fight with my cravings or what's on offer! Even though sw is the least restrictive diet it's still hard because the availability of amazing food will always be there to tempt!
Wow that sourdough sandwich sounds so nice- bread and melted cheese, what's not to love?!
My downfall was ASDA pizza :-/ I blame my 2st gain on them!
 
Ooooo yea!! The Asda create-your-own counter was my best friend on a Friday!!

Used to make it even worse with the sourdough toastie when the guys who sold homemade onion chutney put their stall up next to it! Thankfully they weren't there every week!

They're amazing aren't they! I always have the BBQ sauce base too. I haven't had one for months but it used to be at least weekly :-/
Now you're talking, I love onion chutney! I buy the morrisons one and syn it. I asked on here ages ago for a syn free recipe but nobody seemed to have one :-( it can't be that hard though surely x
 
I never liked Asda pizza so for once this discussion isn't tempting me. I think it's because I liked thin crust and found even their thin crust too thick (for my syns I love Domino's pizza which is like just as bad for you and like four times the price.) I do love brownies though - I loved the cost co ones you made with mix so you could eat them when all warm and gooey in the middle.

I have seen a syn free onion chutney recipe Rosie but not made it - I think it was this one here http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/142135-syn-free-onion-chutney-marmalade.html couple of good reviews and alternate recipes in that thread too :)
 
Haha! I can assure you my meat free Monday is definitely not due to Paul McCartney!! More my lust for lattes!!

Decided on a green day today as fancied extra cheese!!

Todays food (Green day)-
B: Nothing.
L: 2 x McCain ready bake jacket potatoes 2syns topped with heinz bbq beans, 50g philadelphia light part hexA1 and 40g reduced fat cheddar hexA2.
D: Paprika SW chips topped with 3tbsp bbq sauce 3syns and 40g reduced fat cheddar hexB1.

Snacks: Mango. Half a banana. Satsuma. Special K chewy bar hexB2. Handful of sweetcorn. Small homemade brownie bite 5syns.
Drinks: Cups of tea (1 with 1tsp sugar 1syn and the rest with sweetener and skimmed milk part hexA1) Flavoured fizzy water.
Syn Total- 11syns

Hope I'm over synning the brownie bite but avoided an evening treat just in case!
 
Been a bit picky with food today and was hungry even after a big dinner!

Been a bit disorganised today as well as I havent kept a note of my syns like I usually do- leading me to go over :(

Went for a walk to the shops with Reece today- body magic and a trip to my greengrocer for some supplies. They've got massive punnets of plums and kiwis for 99p at the moment- double the amount in them than at Tesco for the same price so nice to save a little, especially as they are mainly for me and I feel a little guilty if I spend loads on me!

Reece got lucky though- the lady in the greengrocer has been wowed by his beaming smile and gives him a freebie banana each time we go in there! He is a charmer- got a free cookie in Subway the other week too!

Todays food (EE day)-
B: Half a satsuma.
L: 2 x WW petit pains hexB + 5.5syns, filled with ham, cherry tomatoes and 2tbsp lighter than light mayo 1syn. Kiwi and plum.
D: 3 x Tesco light choices sausages 3syns. Roasted cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, onion and potatoes.

Snacks: Yogurt. Satsuma. Small handful of Wotsits 2syns? Leftover chicken nugget 2.5syns.
Drinks: 4 x cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk 2syns) Flavoured fizzy water. Generic medium skinny mocha (skimmed milk hexA and cocoa 3syns)
Syn Total- 19syns

Ouch... *hangs head in shame*
 
Picky days are the downfall of my SW!! Especially when its colf outside as I don't want to snack on fruit and veggies!!

L: Baxters chicken broth (hexB) Actually really tasty! And I was feeling lazy!
D: Gammon. Cauliflower cheese (cauliflower, onion, stock, garlic, 100g philadelphia lightest hexA and 25g reduced fat cheddar 4syns). Asparagus. Roasted cherry tomatoes.

Snacks: Mango. Half a banana. A couple of chocolate coated raisins 1syn? Mini bag of pretzels 5.5syns. Yogurt.
Drinks: 4 x cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk 2syns) Pepsi max.
Syn Total- 12.5syns
 
Was doing really well yesterday... And then had half a (big) bar of chocolate- about 10 squares... Just wanted it! H2B was eating it and I asked for a square to stay within syns and the next thing I know is my hand is out for another square. Then another. And it carried on.
I made them last by trying to let them melt on my tongue...

D: Spicy prawn and chorizo pasta (pasta, 50g chorizo 3.5syns, onions, chilli, tinned tomatoes and prawns) 2 x small slices of garlic bread (from a baguette) 5syns?

Snacks: 10 squares of chocolate (15syns??) Yogurt. Half a banana. Satsuma.
Drinks: Costa medium skinny vanilla latte (skimmed milk hexA and 2 x syrup 2syns) 4 x cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk 2syns). Pepsi max. Water.
Syn Total- 29.5syns
 
Another iffy day yesterday- started so well but went downhill by dinner. I wouldn't say it was terrible but Im sure I was over syn. Overestimated with a few things... I hope!

Yesterdays food-
B: Half a plum.
L: 2 x WM toast hexB topped with 25g salmon and dill philadelphia light 2syns. Yogurt. Fruit salad (kiwi, plum and pear).
D: Sunday roast! Roast chicken (with skin- not a huge amount just off one breast approx 5syns?). SW roast potatoes. Carrot and swede mash (1tbsp light spread 2.5syns) Peas, sweetcorn and asparagus. Stuffing- third of a pack!! About 10syns!!

Snacks: None.
Drinks: Costa medium skinny vanilla latte (skimmed milk hexA and half syrup 2syns) 4 x cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk 2syns) Pepsi max. Water.
Syn Total- 23.5syns
 
Been a little poorly today but still strangely hungry! Usually my appetite disappears but today it hasn't.
Just feeling drained now but may take tomorrow off work anyway to make sure- especially as feeling queasy again since having a yogurt. I think the creaminess wasn't the best idea.

Stuck with a meat free Monday though! No lattes but extra cheese!

Still felt iffy yesterday so not a lot of food and unfortunately what I did eat wasnt superfree!

Snacks: Satsuma. Plum. Crunchie (from selection box- 150kcal) 7.5syns
Drinks: 4 x cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk part hexA) Flavoured fizzy water.
Syn Total- 14syns

Was very impressed with the syn value on the crunchie!! Slightly smaller than a full size bar (which are 9.5syns) but I was sorting out stocking fillers and h2b doesn't like crunchies (I always buy a selection box and use the chocolate from that instead of buying separate bars)
 
That is a good thought re selection boxes as they now do tend to have smaller bars in. Part of me thinks this is a rip off as they used to be full size but much better syn wise I suppose!
 
Stressful afternoon so ordered a pizza hut- and I had a medium pizza- thin crust bbq chicken with onions.

Was awful because my delightful toddler decided to shove raisins up his nose! Sniffed them right up so we ended up at the hospital in the minor injuries unit as his breathing was a little off and he wasnt acting like his usual chirpy self. He managed to sneeze one out in the waiting room and we couldn't see anymore so got sent home. That was at about half 4. He had his bath at half 6 and sneezed another one out!! Just hoping there are no more in there but his breathing is normal (he is a little snotty anyway) and he is behaving like himself so we're just checking on him (like paranoid parents!)

Before that ive been pretty angelic SW wise- only 3syns used!

Today's food-
B: Half a satsuma.
L: Bachelors chicken noodle deli box 2syns. Half a banana. Special K chewy bar hexB. Plum.
D: Pizza hut pizza- loads of syns. And im still kinda hungry!!

Snacks: None.
Drinks: Cups of tea (1 with 1tsp sugar 1syn and the rest with sweetener and skimmed milk hexA) Water. Flavoured fizzy water.
Syn Total- ???
