Alpaca's stream of consciousness - IS BACK ON THE WAGON!

Fingers crossed for you Di - hope it keeps going that way. I have just had my porridge that would double up as wallpaper paste lol xx

Cals= 1576
Carbs= 22g

Ha ha... Already over what I said I'd do!

But anyway - all legal

L - omelette with a bit of ham and cheese with very small side salad, black coffee

D - stir fry : courgette, Chinese leaf, spinach, mushroom, celery, spring onion, bacon, egg, coconut oil, 5 spice, sesame oil, garlic, chilli

No more to eat til tomorrow...

Evening, Di!

Those totals look good to me. Can I ask, are you tracking your percentages of fat/protein/carbs? I find that I do better at restricting calories if I keep my fat % at or around 70%, ie. at the high end of the recommended range. I'm tracking to be under 1300 cals today at 68% fat (26% protein, 6% carbs) and my hunger pangs have been barely noticeable. Just a thought! :)

Carbs = 6%
Fat = 69%
Protein = 25%

That's my score for today from MFP ... Looks like I've overdone the fat and under done the protein. Is that right?

I'm not as hungry tonight though and my head is feeling different knowing that I have to watch the cals ... It gives me a parameter which I think I need at the moment ...

But more than happy to look/think again ... Badly need a scientific approach as the 'gut feel' I usually apply to life ain't working ... Ha ha xx

That's spot on, Di. I aim for those percentages every day.

I think keeping the fats nice and high does help with satiety - at least, it seems to for me. That was one of the killers about those JUDDD down days; with so few cals to play with I couldn't get anything like enough fat into me not to feel hungry the whole time.

I think you'll find you'll get used to eating a bit less - may take a little while, though. I'm not finding it difficult, but then nothing is after JUDDD, lol.

Thank you Scrummie ! Xx

Your percentages are more or less exactly what I go for Di. I'm unhappy if fat goes under 60 and prefer it around 70. Sometimes my carbs are a little higher and protein lower if it's an all veggie day but it's keeping the fat high that seems to work for me.

Morning Di, hope all well:)

I agree with keeping the fat up - seems to really help reduce appetite. My personal favourite snack of marmite cheese is of course wildly yummy as well:D
Xxx

Morning Di....! This is all getting very technical!!!! I just shovel it in......:(

I used to shovel! I was a huge shoveller but as weight loss has slowed down so much with little change to my menus I have had to apply a rear guard strategy which seems to have knocked 0.5lbs off the old scales ... It's down to being old, decrepit and having a body that thinks its smarter than me at holding onto the weight! Lol xx

My useless Tesco don't stock them Katie but I must put in a request... My DS scoffed the last couple I had in the fridge and then said... These are great can we get some more in! Lol

Well... By watching cals it's slightly, slowly moving down again... And I feel like I'm on a diet now - more so than I've been for the last year ... And it's ok because a bit of control in my life is fine ............ As long as it works ! Ha ha xx

L - roast chicken breast and 50g pack of smoked salmon

D - will be pan fried salmon and stir fried veg

Cals = 1488
Carbs = 21

Well... Let's see how the scales look tomorrow ...

I think the antibiotics stalled me as they did that last year so I'm hoping for a downward movement to continue! (ever the optimist)! Lol xx

D was yum.. Now just off to run the bath xx
