Step2 810kcal Anyone else?

Hi,

I started on Monday so am day 6 now. Day four was my hardest so far as felt physically ill; couldn't get warm, tired no energy, nauseous, headaches.

Then, for god knows what reason as I felt much better yesterday, I caved in and ate chicken and mushrooms from the Chinese with a few spoons of plain boiled rice and steamed broccoli and courgettes, more than allowed. Am now out if ketosis and gutted I got through the worst and then cheated. If I get a good loss for my first weigh maybe I will change my mind but this diet is making me so irritable and miserable.

How are you finding it?

Bluebell- you will probably lose more than that, I started on step 2 in oct. I took Xmas of and than started on it again just over a week ago. Both times I lost 7lb in the first week. You will have similar losses to those On soleSource

Holly- you should try to stick with it. if you'd got past that hard day you properly would have found you were in ketosis the next day.
Then you would have felt brilliant, most of these foods were okay it was probably the rice that stopped you going into ketosis. Try to
Drink more and stick with it. Once your in ketosis you will have so much energy and the hunger will pass

Stay positive!! You could have had fried rice, chips, prawn crackers etc but you didn't! So at least give yourself props for that!! :)

Try keep the momentum going...plan out your meals until weigh in. Don't get too upset.

It's been hard, for the past few months I've ate takeaway's at least 3 times a week.

My breaking point was when I ate a large meat supreme stuffed crust pizza to myself. That's when I really woke up.

I'm lucky that my job keeps me active so I've not put a lot of weight on. But I'm 10 stone 11lbs and I'm 5'2.

My goal weight is around 9st 7lbs. Hoping to get there by my birthday which is 6wks on Monday.

I struggle most with afternoon snacking, I'm a morning person and burn off all my energy quite quickly, after lunch I always want a 'sugar boost' which usually involved a bar of choc, crisps and a can of diet coke. Now it's a bottle of water or green tea.

I'd probably say day 2 and 3 were the hardest. Total caffeine and carb withdrawal = migraines and snapping at others.

What products did you choose?

I've got - Apple & Cinnamon porridge (didn't make it right the 1st time so will try again)

Spicy Tomato soup - ok, just add extra water and some herbs

Oriental chilli - added more water and black peppercorns! YUM!! Put through a blender!

Choc mint bar - not great, quite bland!

Lemon yoghurt bar - LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Choc orange bar - presently surprised, lasts longer because of the chewy part!

Banana Tetra - ok, kinda got a nutty after taste?!

Strawberry - ok too...prob will get it again

Chocolate Tetra - DELISH! I am not a fan of choc milkshakes, but this is lovely. Really took away my craving for something sweet.

I've used ikea ziplock bags to plan all my meals ahead for the week...so in the morning it's just a grab and go job!

I was at the cinema last night, LES MIS (Highly Recommend) and surrounded in people with gums, popcorn, ice cream and nachos. I was on the verge but stuck to my volvic water.

Did you take before pics?!
It's the best thing I done! Whenever I'm thinking about cravings, I look at the pics- completely gets my head in the game!

Try going for a walk- I found fresh air helps me refocus, and takes the craving away!

I don't wanna set my limits to high, but hoping to get at least 5 off each week on step 2!

Has anyone done Cambridge before?

Im on day 2 of step 2 doing ok but some of the stuff tastes awful, i dont think how i made some of it help, think its a lot about trial and error.

The flavoured porridges are just way too sweet, i enjoyed the veg soup not convinced with the tomato one but i will persevere :)

Took some pics today and they are horrific so il just keep going back to them when i feel crap.

Good luck everyone xx
