Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Yeah I'm not worrying about it Nikki, was actually going to see if I could sneak some more syns in ;) but I'm going to be good.... I'm on a green day having 1 more syn on meat free sausages and saving both HEB for after my run so hopefully won't want anymore syns. I think about 10 is a safe estimate as it won't be as high as one from greggs, won't have as much icing or as many goodies in to be fair.

Can't decide whether to stick to ryvita mini's and a cereal bar for my healthy extra B's or I might have cheese on toast for one of them... think I'll go for cheese on toast actually.... been fancying it lately (although depends on how heavy the bread we have in is)

Ah I am so rubbish at keeping up to date on this thread lately :-( well done to everyone that's sticking at it!

I finally seem to have my head back in the game - actually back counting points again on ww simply filling. Also went to the gym yesterday AND today after not going for months! Started c25k today despite my utter phobia of treadmills. As when I was off with my broken ankle I realised how silly it was that I had never learned to run and this is it only just now strong enough to try!

Have just been so lazy with everything lately - pretty sporadic with my exercising and OH has been doing a lot of the cooking. So I planned my dinner each night this week and made the effort to go to the gym. Hope it all pays off x

good for you missus esp gym part. this Scottish weather makes you want to hide never mind venture out to gym x
 
nearly full week of being on plan...go me. not feeling any better for it if am honest. feeling bagged up as ever. thinking i use too many syns but don't think i could reduce them. need use them better. tad annoyed used 5 syns on mushy peas on a red day when i could eat them freely on green or ee day. doesn't make sense lol
does everyone else use 15?
its a lot of calories over a week isn't it?
 
I tend to have between 10 and 15 a day Deb, its not really that many cals over the week... maybe try a bit more exercise?

yes definitely need start exercising. had lot bread this week so maybe reason i am feeling bagged up.

cliff hanger on greys is never a good situation..very annoying ha. new series stopped but back on this week but i save them up lol

I'm only on series two, glad I have loads stored up as it means I can just watch them when I have the time and when I'm ready, hate when you watch something and have a week to see the next one.

BAD LADY......stop thinking about calories, it doesn't matter, you are allowed your syns, its been scientifically worked out by very clever people lol!
OK, on paper it sounds a lot, as 15 syns = 300 calories x 7 days = 2100......but stop over thinking it Deb.
Have you gone over 105 in the week?
Bread isn't a problem unless you have an intolerance/allergy to it????? You can have 120g as your HexB, so have it......I do everyday when Im working.
However..........I can see where you're coming from with calories when you are approaching target & its my opinion & thinking about it logically........surely, the lighter you become/target you need to reduce your calorie intake as you dont need as many & unless you have a 3500 calorie deficit per week to lose a pound, you wont lose weight....thats scientifically proven. But saying that I dont think you should cut your syns down as you need a certain amount of fat in your diet, personally I would look at my portion control & the actual amount of food I was eating per day rather than cut out Hex's/ Syns.....but thats my opinion! Or if you dont want to do that......exercise more & get a greater deficit! We can only expect smallish losses now as we're near to target, so Im going to be happy with 0.5lbs per week until I start exercising more & then would hope for a little more...........calories in, calories out = exercise to lose weight!!!

Lol, where abouts is it you are up here Debs? I know its miserable out there no way I would run outside but the gyms only about 2mins walk from my work so no excuse.

Did day2 of c25k today despite being ill, can't wait til this sore throat and cold goes away so I can taste food again, there's a galaxy ripple in the fridge waiting for my taste buds being functional again lol!! X
 
And yeh what Kim says!! Daily the calorie difference between say having 10syns or 15syns is so little that you might as well have them.

Maybe work on reducing the amount of free food and upping the veg intake at each meal but only if you think your portions are too big. To be honest I have pretty big portions and still lose because its eating the right things.

As for bread that's my fave part of simply filling lol there's not a limit on bread! And it includes wraps, bagels etc. I have some sort of bread every day usually at 2 meals and still lose (well when I stick to plan lol)

Weigh in tomorrow after my first week of being properly back on plan, have been to the gym 3 days in a row though so might get a bit of a temporary gain from the upped exercise but I am fine with that as if it happens I will be due a nice big loss next week hopefully :p x

not long winded at all. i haven't been thinking about calories in a bad way. i promise. not this time. i was just thinking that even although i want more than 105 per week, what i have been having seems a lot. i have only recently tried red and green days so having my bread then for example chewy delight bar as the other healthy extra then i can have two packets wotsits then small choc bar seems greedy....but allowed lol. i took some slim a tea and that helped. don't feel as bagged now
portion size i really couldn't cut down as they aren't particulary big. going to start exercising...won't be long til holiday time.
syns this week..potentially i will be over by 5 but need go recount them.
been careful to account for everything.
will be two weeks since my last wine. still debating whether to have any this week. i just keep thinking how much crisp and choc i could have instead ha
 
well no idea how many syns I had today.... but I'm counting them as 15 :p

I had the one little bun that the kids made, but they had other things out, I was going to be good and just stick to the one, waiting for little one to come to ask him what he'd like me to eat and he said one of the ones he made so I had that, but then he had a chocolate slice thing and I had a tiny bite of that, then he picked up a caramel shortbread (obviously he had to try everything that was on offer) but he couldn't eat it all.... so I finished it. Hoping I won't be far over 15 and I'll just try and make sure I don't have the full 15 every day so there's some spare for any extra that sneaked in today.


was undecided as to whether I was going running club or not tonight as its very windy here today.... but my mum has bullied me into going, if I don't come back happy then we'll blame her. Will have to just think about my cheese on toast the whole way round haha

I think getting lower then target before Vegas is a great idea, I always attempt to get below my target before holidays and events but haven't managed to yet... I've seen the 8's 3 or 4 times now very briefly lol but I'm sure you can do it :) very jealous of your holiday as well, would love to go Vegas.


Well ladies as you can guess because I'm here (and I'm not good enough to be browsing mini's while I run) I didn't go to running club, I did a 45 minute run on my own instead though (I think this is the longest I've run none stop so far) but while I was getting ready to go to club my mum rang asking if I was still going saying she would if I was, but she didn't sound too into it, so I asked why and my brother got a place in Camp America, so they're going to have pizza and wine to celebrate, so I told her not to worry about club, I'd do my own run as I'm really proud of him and think they deserve a good celebration for it :) will miss him though 3 months in America (I'm also very jealous of him)

little ones presentation was great too, realised I told you about the cakes and not the assembly, I was worried he'd get told off as he was stood there with them all (he was the youngest) balancing his badge on his certificate and kept dropping it and then he was stood there dancing, I thought he was getting bored while they were talking but when I asked him about it he said it was because he was so happy. Bless him.
