Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

I buy the multi-packs of Cadbury Dairy Milk & they're only 5.5 syns each & handy to take to work for my 4am low sugar drop!

Ooh! I have just posted on another thread SW and 5:2 fasting I think. I just reached the 8's officially this morning and I have 13lbs to goal. I am considering SW with perhaps 5:2 (2 days fasting with my vlcd products to make calorie counting on those days easier). However, I am scared of the transition as I don't understand fully how SW works and I feel nervous about the free foods and also not weighing food? Would I risk gaining more weight back? Any advice or suggestions welcome!

Sorry Kira, but Im not quite sure what 'diet' plan you want to follow....CC/5:2 or SW. My advice would be to chose just one diet & stick to it, or it might get a bit confusing. If you want to follow SW, just pop over to the main thread page & you will find lots of info there & we can always help with any queries you have on here :)

Kim there seem to be some people following slimming world but including two intermittent fasting days whereby on the fasting days they still follow SW but eat only arouse 500 cals. I will take a look at the main thread.

I guess I wanted and idea of the weekly losses people get on SW when they have a stone or so to lose. I appreciate the more weight one has to lose the bigger the losses initially on any plan.

Hey Deb how are you feeling now? Sorry for the late reply, but I didnt have any internet service where I worked last night & just up from a shift.
We all have days like that Deb & sometimes there's nothing you can do about it as its just one of those things. Just try & stay positive & look forward to the next few months with all your planning.
Exercise is a good way to beat away the blues as it releases endorphines or there is always CHOCOLATE lol!
Glad you feeling better tho x

much better thanks Kim. got a little much deserved perspective last night. am a lucky girl who was just having bad day. thanks x

Must admit I have mini blowouts every now & then, when we'll nip to Morissons/Tesco's & buy about a £20 worth of choc/naughties & eat the lot in a oner lol!

But I dont drink at the mo, so thats my excuse & Im sticking to it lol!

Kim i am shocked!! lol..the most i will go to but is still worse than yours is...bottle wine, big bag kettle crisp or dorito plus bar chocolate lol

I have a celebrations tin filled with treats..... ranging from magic elves at 3.5 to double deckers at 14 syns.
Because its my syn box for some reason I never go for it when im going off plan.

Lost half tonight. Think that's quite good cos I ate the party food yesterday but I need 2 a week! Now it's gonna be more than that x

Well done on the loss. Maybe reduce your target dor the dress fitting a little... rather then aiming for a certain weight aim for a loss each week as maybe your putting too much pressure on yourself.

Thats quite interesting & could be quite contentious Kira because its not following the SW plan. If you did an EE day on your fast day that would be 1 hexa & 1 hexa which roughly equates to approx 240 cals, minimum of 5 syns would be 100 calories, so thats 340 calories already only leaving 160 for the rest of your food.
The thing is you have to do what suits you but I cant imagine SW ever advocating this way of eating. Im sure on your 5 up days you can eat the SW way but think it would be difficult on the 2 fast days
Its difficult to say about losses with a stone to lose as some can lose it quickly, or others like myself go at a snails pace
Good luck anyway

Kim thanks so much for your reply! I think you are right that SW won't advocate this. I think the other thread are doing it alone hence combining SW with fasting. In other words they are really doing 5:2 and not SW as they are eating "normally" on non fast day but using SW methods.

Well it's rule out SW for me for now as I think old fashioned caliore counting with low carb element may be the way to,go for me. I did maintain during Jan/feb doing this but I really want to "finish" the weight loss journey off. Thanks again! Helped me think things through!

Feeling a bit down today. Been studying & realised I know nothing so gonna after get stuck into my book more.
Then logged into Facebook n discovered 1 of my school friends passed away this morning so completely shell shocked :-(

No problem Kira & I hope whatever you decide, it works for you.
SW is a fabulous way of eating as it normalises food, but its not a quick fix, more a healthy way of eating for life & doesnt suit some people. So its a good job there's something out there for all of us!
