Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Always better to be prepared, my maternity leave was due to start the day before I had him as I was convinced I'd be two weeks overdue (I would have started it two weeks after he was due if I could have gotten away with it lol) but I packed my hospital bag really early because I was so excited. I'm glad I did as my waters went at 36 weeks and I was induced a week later so he was 3 weeks early. I always cringe now when pregnant people go on about how they haven't packed their bags as they have a month to go lol.

I think I need to start trying to maintain after Easter ;) my problem seems to be whenever I should relax and just see how things go I have plans coming up so want to desperately loose for them.

Thanks Kim, if I don't loose today I'm going to be in a right mood with the scales. Only thing that annoys me is the scales are the only thing I can be in a mood with, I'm not one of those people who doesn't get what they want on the scales so binges as I'm terrified that will only mean a massive gain. I am not going to let what the scales say ruin my Easter or my night out the following week with friends though. I refuse :)

I seriously need to think about my hospital bag. Ill probably start buying a few bits for it over the next couple of weeks and get it prepared!
 
A year is mental. Its funny cos if im ever telling my oh owt that was suggested im always like u kniw my friends on the forum. He might even know most of ur names lol.

I feel like crap ladies :( day started off so well, I went for a walk down to the shops and got a couple of bits, I didn't get my housework for today sorted but was planning on doing it after my lunch. I went to work feeling great but then got pulled to one side, basically I have to apply for my job again as two people are leaving. When I started I was told it was until Easter to see how I got on, which I assumed as nothing had been said that I got on fine and would be continuing after Easter.

I didn't think much of it until now I've got in and had my lunch and now I'm looking at the application, which I'm going to have to do now instead of my housework which means tomorrow and Thursday are going to be hectic as I was hoping to just do a little bit at a time (house has to be spotless for boyfriends parents coming up on Friday)

I don't know why but its really getting me down, I feel like I could cry, I thought I was settled there and actually I might not be there after Easter now. I've just eaten two slices of lemon cake I got from school as well now so I can't even say at least I'm sticking to the bloody diet, it wouldn't be too bad but this week is no doubt going to be horrendous food wise.

I've got my old application so at least I don't have to do it from scratch but I'm terrible at these things
 
Im sure its political Donna, because if it was anything to do with your performance they would have spoken to you about it. Just fill in the application & hand it in & Im sure they will just offer you the job straight back, especially if 2 people are leaving. Chin up chick, these things are sent to try us :)

That's so strange about the scales being so different Vic I think blind weigh ins are the best for you now - you will be getting smaller and that's all that matters!

Oooh can't believe its nearly baby time Nikki the time has flown in. I know what you mean about the fat clothes getting too small I was the same when I was off with my broken ankle lol least you have a baby as an excuse!! I literally had to live in my bfs tshirt and jogging bottoms as nothing else would fit anymore eek!!

Donna as Kim says these things are usually procedural rather than anything else nowadays, just get it filled in you will be fine!!

Interesting how sizes vary isn't it? I wish I was taller then I would be more spread out haha.

My lurgy is finally gone yay!! Haven't made it back to the gym yet though had been waiting on the last of my cough shifting as its a horrid chesty one so didnt want to hack my lungs up on the treadmill, but it turns out a couple people have phoned in sick all week and then so have the folk who were meant to cover their shifts so basically I am doing lots of extra hours and won't be able to get to the gym til next week now anyway! Ah well!

Today I discovered m&s mini chocolate hot cross buns. Omg delicious!! I ended up having 3, was very pleased when I checked and found they are 90 cals each. They taste soooo naughty! Yum. X
 
donna why does two people leaving effect your job? are you not in hour or two per day? sorry not sure i understand the set up but i agree with the others. plus your application is much more important than cleaning the house. sure the oh parents won't notice or mind as long as they have time with you all x

Me n oh went to tesco tonight to get some milk and dog food and came out with......milk and dog food!!!! No treatis for us! Felt very proud :)

My c text me today n asked if I wanted to try doing fast forward but I think I might just stick to clean eating for a bit n cut my carbs down x
 
O ladies I need some more advice too. I have been thinking about dying my hair back red but cant decide. If I post pics of me with both will u help x

Kim that is brilliant...i tried to measure my part under my belly button and measurements were bigger than i first did them so gave up lol hence why am crap at measuring.
i am just on a **** eating spell. mostly eating far too much crap. am going to get a battery for scales for either this week or next and see the damage then i need to up the exercise..April starts on Tuesday so that can be my fresh start. wine fest over the easter break with my spa night included then need focus..only five months til the holiday and the big secret lol

laughing at all your hair colours..your brave. am so boring with mine..what colour are you thinking for wedding? red? i think you would suit light highlights, like caramel or honey thru your darker colour? like i said am boring lol

Not be a kill joy Vicky but you need to think about the wedding & would a big bold colour suit for the big day, or will you have a 'normal' colour for that?

thanks ladies, i got my application done just need to do a cover letter as well. its hard not to worry as ive had such bad luck with job applications in the past, even ones which we thought i was a sure thibg for so having to go through it all again for a job i thought i already had is worrying :(
when i got the job they did say it was until easter to see how i got on, which i assumed meant. i wad on trial and if all went well my job would carry on, whereas actually apparently it meant i was on a temporary contract. 2 people are leaving so there are two positions which i know im going for, a lady whos worked there before who is doing relief at the moment is going for and a bloke who is shadowing her at the moment is going for as well :( plus whoever else applies for the position.

having a terrible day, put on half a lb at wi, i really felt like crying but then i was sat weighing everyone else. people seem to be under the impression that its either muscle or water retention. from running or that i need more then 15 syns because ofvthe miles im doing. i have no idea what to think. im just going to relax this week and be good where i can but have my easter treats where i want too, same with next week.

ive just had a little cry now, more about the job then the weight to be honest but the weight really didnt help, i had one good loss after christmas and since then the same 2lb has come off and on... whether ive been good or bad, it will be the running as i have upped my miles since then, but its hard to see. tempted to go blind wi's from now on and tell then just to let me know if i come out of target rather then seeing my weight from week to week. will decide on tues

i agree with kim vicky, maybe best to wait until after the wedding and then go for it
 
Donna, why not work out your BMR & TDEE & see how many calories you need to lose weight. It would mean working out your daily calories but if you really want to lose anymore maybe you have to be more precise with your intake as you cant be getting a big enough defecit. However, do you think you're being too hard on yourself just to see that magic number?! You're in size 8's & a mid range BMI .....personally i think you need to take the pressure off & call your target at this weight as your only upsetting yourself.

I don't really see how it could be my calories though as I don't eat that much more then before i started running and I lost fine then. I also don't want to make my target higher (that was mentioned when they werevsaying it could be me toning up) I'm only 2 1/2 lbs off my target, theres no point calling target at this weight as I'm still within my range anyway (plus as principle i just don't want too) I'm not chasing my magic number anymore, I don't even care so much about getting into the 8's I just dont want to be sat at the top of my target range.

I know we shouldnt compare to other people but my mum eats way more crap then me, runs just as much as I do and weights more then a stone less, she's also the same height as me... it just doesn't seem fair that she's like that and I get told its because im running or whatever :( my running is the most important thing and i eat what i need for fuel and recovery, I'm not stopping that. I'm not being hard on myself as such, I did nothing wrong, I'm just disappointed and I think thats fair enough.

Maybe it is the running and maybe it will take a few months to settle down, maybe I do need to eat more, I don't know but although I'm upset and disappointed now I'm not stressing about it this week. I'll deal with it after.

like i say its the work thing more then the weight anyway, the weight is just the icing on the cake. unfortunatly i cant hide from the work thing until after Easter :( that is going to be something thats playing on my mind until im offered avperminant contract :( (if im offered a perminant contract)

Can I ask when you measure yourself, which areas do you measure and what with? I've never measured myself (so wish I had now), have been told at group to get a ball of string.

As for sizes I'm 10st, wear a 12 trousers, think I might possibly fit in a 10 now as my 12's are saggy and baggy now. As for up top I'd say I was a comfortable 12 which I'm happy about as I do have boobs. I'm also another shorty at almost 5'2".

Managed to lose another 1lb yesterday, which I'm happy about. Somedays I wish it were more but I seem to be a 1lb week gal.
 
Do all of you exercise? I think that's my problem, I do a little walking but that's it!! Just wondered how you all got into exercise and what sort do you do? I really don't know where to start, so any advice would be gratefully received:)
