Anyone tried or is doing shake that weight vlcd?

Hi ladies! Well done on your weight loss Jeanette :)

im doing really good today, this is the first day I've managed 3 shakes and finishing them, well I'm just about to have my 3rd & Im really not craving the taste for food anymore, so that a bonus.

Been weighing myself everyday but I'm just going to wait til Wednesday now. i'll need to hide the scales. Lol.

How long is everyone sticking to the no food rule. I was wanting to stick to it until my birthday which is the start of August. 6 more weeks with no food & then start having 1 heathy meal and a shake per day.

Obviously in the first week I'm going to lose alot but after that, with just doing the shakes do you think 4lbs a week is realistic ?
Sorry for the questions I just want a realistic time scale.

Hi Melissa, thanks i am quite chuffed.

Glad it's not just me who weighs everyday lol, tell myself everyday, that's it till weigh day, but then the next day......:D

I have stuck to it for 4 weeks, would have been longer but have a holiday in july, so need to add meals for 3 weeks till, otherwise i will put on tons of weight due to the difference in calories. will go back on it when i come home.

well i lost 9lb the first week, then 4.25lb, 1.25lb and then 3.5lb this week, so it varies, i am hoping to still lose weight, even if a small bit whilst on refeed.

Hi Jax, so i ate dog food today did I? lol ate the same as Clyde :D
 
Melissa can I ask if you are just having only 3 shakes a day? Or do you eat? Just dnt think that less than 4 is recommended unless you have a meal as you may have problems when you come to eat. My Gp recommended 4 and no less.

I only weigh once a week. Not even tempted but really starting to tell with my ordinary clothes much looser.
I dnt need to buy any day to day stuff as have wardrobe full of diff sizes.

Jeanette bet the gap has now closed on the clothes you tried on 2 nd week :)

Tried on those trousers,(the one with a large gap?) and i could do them up, if i didn't breathe lol, but not the zip, nowhere near :D

Had my two shakes and meal, and should have my bar, but didn't really want my last shake even, should have it though, don't you think?
 
Why dnt you try half a bar Jeanette? Prob the same as a shake roughly the keep the other half for tomoz.

I'm going in the bath am freezing. Doesn't help that pugger lugs has got his fan on to keep him cool :)

That zip will be closing before you know it. Look how well you've done in such a short time.

I looked at that diet noodle stuff in H&B. £1.99. 100gm is 8 calories. But might be handy for stir frys x

No I don't eat atall as iknow I'd end up eating wayy too much, I'm trying to build the amount of shakes I'm having up, as before I could only really have two, today I managed 3 :) ill try for four a day though.

Im thinking including this week it will be 7 weeks with the 3/4 shakes per day, then 2 shakes a day and a healthy meal until I reach my goal. Whenever that may be.

Not meaning to preach Melissa just if you are already having less than recommended what do you do when you have a plateau? You can't go down to bump start the loosing again. Also you will be missing out on the nutrients you need. Just tell me to mind my business but please be careful.

Jeanette I sometimes watch it. Wish I lived somewhere tropical like that tho x

For the first 3 days I struggled with migraines which is why I wasn't drinking enough. Today (my 5th day) has been the first day I've felt good.
 
Hi all, I had a good day yesterday,wasn't tempted by any food at party! I can't wait to eat chicken and cauliflower!!! Being on this diet makes you really appreciate food.
Weather doesn't look that good today,I was hoping we would have a few sunny days! Spoilt myself yesterday and bought a treadmill! Always wanted one so decided I deserved it!
Going to make my shake, have a nice day ladies. X

Good for you pink I was thinking about hiring one for a month. But I know that I would try and run which I'm not allowed to do. :( it doesn't put me off if weather is poor just put in my ear plugs and walk. Also gets me out and about.

Glad you managed to get past the little hiccup as yesterday could have been a real temptation but well done x :)
 
Pink Glad you resisted temptation lol, and the chicken and cauli was really awful ;) (lie lie:D)

Glad you're feeling better Melissa, i suffer from headaches/migraines myself, not full on Migraines, thankfully, but my doctor said that anything that was one sided (always over my right eye) is a migraine, sometimes i get the symptoms without the headache:confused:

Jeanette I know you like going on the scales!! Did you weigh yourself today or do you intend to b4 next Sunday? I don't think the weight will come back fast! I'm so wanting your chicken and salad!!!!
 
Well i did weigh today, and it looked like 1 lb down, but weighed the first time and was a 1/4 lb down, then just to check i tried twice again lol and it said 1 lb down? so not really sure lol will try again tomorrow and let you know.:D

looking forward to my salad as well :D
