Anyone want to loose 50lb and buddy up?

Lucylis my aunty who practically raised me from a baby died 7 years ago to breast cancer, she never told us she had a lump until it was too late and it had already spread throughout her body, my friend died a year ago aged 37 to the same disease. So many people are effected by it and after the great treatment and support i have recieved recently at the local care unit it is something i think i would like to help raise money to support.
There is a trans pennine route that is nearly 300 miles from Stockport to Hornsea that i would love to do, so plan is to get my fitness level up so i can cycle 50 miles a day with all the camping equipment needed as well. Hoping for end of May next year.
 
Sorry needsm that must of been horrible for u! My hat goes off to you needsm. I would love to he able to do something like that, maybe if I work hard I might be able to do something like it myself! Gives me something to aim for, as I say its a cause very close to my heart to... X
 
We can work on it together, my fitness level is nowhere near enough to cycle 50 miles a day for about 5 days. I stopped smoking just over 2 years ago and since then have been having problems with my thyroid, i stopped the medication at the end of may and am hoping that its sorted itself out, we was meant to try to cycle the trans pennine route earlier this year but i was too ill to do so. Now after the the good news from the hospital i am even more determined to complete it.

Good morning, sun is shining (not sure for how long) so going shopping today for a new sports bra, going to cycle to the shops so should end up about 10 miles at least. Going to have picnic as well while we are out, was abit worried about this at first as picnic always seems to mean sandwichs, pork pies, sausage rolls but i am going to do myself a tuna pasta salad to take with me.

Sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned Carly, you and your friend each cooking a course for a meal sounds like a good idea, i always have people here on a wednesday for lunch but i always end up being the one that cooks and washes the dishes so i might try suggesting we all cook something to them. I have a computer on the cycle that tells me distance travelled, speed etc it was about £20 and really easy to fit. I did get a wireless one first but my lights interferred with the reading it gave, you can also get them that tell you how many calories you have burnt but i never trust things like that.
 
Needsmotivation -thanks :) I made my sister help and picked outfit yesterdayB sounds only fair that they all cook on a wed! Enjoy ur cycle - I'm impressed :)

Well home from my cycle and i am walking like john wayne, am sure that the seat doesnt seem that uncomfortable normally (hoping its because theres less padding on my butt). Ended up cycling nearly 14 miles and a walk while we had lunch. We was lucky it started raining just as we was going to stop for lunch but it only lasted about 5 minutes so we ate our picnic surrounded by geese at the boating lake. Think i need a sleep now...ohh and no sports bra which is what i went out for, none in my size, looks like i will be ordering online.

Just had vegetable curry only 1 point for the whole pot and I even enjoyed making it!

Worried as on nightshift from tomorrow but going to run my points from midnight to midnight and be sensible.
