Baby Charlie has arrived so lets get on with shedding the rest of this wobble!!!

Morning Capricorn

I love candles too, smelly ones, vanilla are my fav I think. Like the chilli port marinade, I might use that for a stir fry or to make Pork Kebabs, for me of course, OH gets Tesco Packet meals this week :).

Have a good day hun xx

doing a great job there capricorn , here to a fantastic loss in June xxxx
Thanks Losingme......hope you have a good month too ;)
Eternal flame... I have a candle addiction -thats why Im storing extras up here as Im not wanting to pay £17 each back in the UK
Hope you do yourself some lovely meals this week and thats right -let hubby eat "ding" meals

Well my meal plan for today is looking like this.....
  • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
  • lemon juice in warm water
  • 1 rasher back bacon
  • 2 eggs scrambled
  • 142g baked beans (B)
  • apple
  • banana
  • natural yogurt
  • 198g potatoes in skins(B)
  • carrots
  • onions
  • peppers
  • cucumber
  • celery
  • roast chicken
  • 42g feta (A)
  • nat yog
  • quark
  • fruit
  • creamy yogurt (8)
Because I had the cooked brekkie with hubby, I won't want/need much at lunch so fruit n nat yogurt it is nomnomnom...
We are nipping shopping tonight -so i like to do something that I can do in advance and just serve as soon as we get back and the shopping is away...
So Im doing a potato and vegetable salad with feta dressing and serving it with the roast chicken leftover from Sunday! its great as it will use up the last of the cucumber, potatoes etc -so I will have room for all the fresh salad I will pick up tonight ;)

oooohhhh I got a notification in my online SW account today -I got into the Hall of fame as one of the "slimmer of the month awards ":party0048:
I need to get on the wii in a moment..and then sort out my shopping list...
Have a great day everyone....and keep up the good work:D

feta dressing recipe

Good evening everyone....
Doing my nightly reporting in a bit earlier than usual :D

I have finished today having used 8syns and done 1hr45 on the wii....

Dinner was lovely and hubby loved the feta dressing... I just did
  • 100g FF fromage frais
  • 50g natural yogurt
  • 84g feta (1 healthyA each was 42g)
  • 1tsp english mustard -gives it a lovely colour too)
  • seasoning
Just simply grate or crumble the feta and mix with everything else and your done.... I did steamed potatoes, raw veggies and leftover chicken and mixed them all together and left it to chill -and there is still some left for my lunch tomorrow :eat:
Next time Im gonna blend everything to see if we prefer it smooth ;)

We went shopping -so I have topped up the fruit n salad....
2 pineapples, 4kg apples, a water melon, big hand of bananas mmmmmmmmm along with my oranges -that should keep me happy for a while :p ooh and I picked up some frozen mixed berries for just 99c a box too :D
I also got some more of my creamy yogs..i have just had a pina colada one -it sounds gross, but pineapple, orange yog is yummy :p
I have just worked out that if I lose an average of 2lb a week.... I will be at my target in exactly 1 year ....now that would send a lot of people over the edge... thinking 1 whole year :8855:-but it has really encouraged me..as 1 year is nothing really-well not when I have spent *mumble mumble years* getting to this size :D
Right -I will away and catch up....
Have a super duper evening everyone

Morning all

oooooohhhh Trace..what a lovely thing to wake up to on a morning :D -thankyou

Ok -so another day is here....

Hubby is golfing today and tomorrow -so Im pretty much just catering for myself :p.... my meals for today are:-
  • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
  • lemon juice in warm water
  • 2 weetabix (B)
  • SW -tomato soup -this is a recipe I have heard folks raving about -so I will let you know what I reckon ;)
  • fresh pineapple
  • chopped apple
  • chopped banana
  • mixed frozen berries-blackberries, strawberries raspberries, black/red currants, blueberries
  • natural yogurt
  • feta dressed potato salad with chicken (0.5)-I have some leftover from lastnight :p
  • tomatoes, beetroot, gherkins
  • fruit
  • creamy yogurt (8)
Im sure I will fit it all in somewhere :8855:..
I need to get on the wii fit again later...I am addicted to tennis :p. Im also going to settle down and get on with some cross stitching later -doesn't exactly burn cals -but does keep my head out of the fridge :D
Have a great day everyone:D

Afternoon capricorn.
Just stopped by and looking at your diary.loving your menu's.
I also love yankee candles, arent they just the best, ive also got a yankee car freshner,im burning mandarine and cranberry at the moment , i love cottage breeze and blueberry scone.:D:D
have a good afternoon.xx

Afternoon all -oohhhh look at me popping in during the afternoon :p

Thanks for coming to see me and being so lovely folks :D -
Surreygal ...I don't have those 3 ... I have 35 in the living room -but not those 3(looks like a church :8855:)..I wait until they change the premotions and get them on 2 for €22 instead of €17 each.....whatever you do NEVER buy spiced pumpkin -it smells ok in the shop but once you light it, it stinks like a curry house:confused:
Lemon lavender is lovely-and not "old lady lavender"

Well folks Im on here now as I have been that hungry today I could have chewed the leg off the coffee table :eatdrink023:..... I know it was "proper" hunger and not the old "mmmm I fancy something nice" as it was proper food I was after and I managed to not dive head first into the fridge/freezer/cupboards....

so today I have become a Hobbit (anyone having read/watched lord of the rings will understand) -I have had :-
  • 1st breakfast:-weetabix
  • 2nd breakfast :- fruit n natural yogurt
  • elevenses :- cereal bar
  • lunch :- soup followed by fruit n yogurt
  • mid afternoon :-roast beef slices with pickles
  • dinner:- (yes I have eaten it allready :p) -the leftover potato/chicken salad -followed by more fruit n yogurt
So I need to add 3.5syns to my plan for the cereal bar -I still have my creamy 8syn yogurt for later -Im finally full -for now ;) .... but if need be I will have some more free stuff-

I know exactly what the problem is.... the soup n fruit for lunch -I digest fruit n veg really quickly -should have shoved some protein in there.... "lesson learnt" -so i won't be doing that again in a hurry :8855:
So after a slightly testing day Im thrilled to have not ruined my clean slate ....6 weeks and counting and still no falling off the wagon or eating any choc, crisps, junk :D
Have a great evening all -and if you smell bacon cooking later you know what Im up to :8855:

I get through a lot of milk as Im a serious tea belly -although hubby reckons that only kicks in when he is around to make it for me

I've been reading your diary and you seem so motivated :D

The above quote made chuckle, i'm EXACTLY the same :p The bf read it and he just said "i'm saying nothing" :8855:

Thanks zombiecakes
Now can we help it if they make better tea than us ;) -hubby reckons I should practice making my own until I get it right -its not going to happen :8855:
Hope you pop into to see me again.. :D

Haha exactly! His is far more tasty! Plus i don't think practice would work, i think it's a knack thing ;)

Will definately be popping in again :happy036:

Morning all

It looks set to be a boooootiful day today :D

I fought off my "starvin marvin" alter ego yesterday -I finished the day on 14.5syns :giggle:....and managed to clock up 1hr on the wii -I don't know what is going off but I feel a little under par at the moment -just tired and achey -but hey diddly ho -it will pass ....
Anyhoo Today is a new day and so my mela plan for today is set to be :-
  • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
  • lemon juice in warm water
  • 2 weetabix(B)
  • fruit n yogurt
  • 2 egg omellette with :-
  • peas
  • corn
  • mushrooms
  • peppers
  • bacon
  • and salad
  • fruit
  • minced steak
  • passata
  • mushrooms
  • peppers
  • onions
  • stock cube
  • herbs
  • potatoes
  • quark with herbs
  • fromage frais
  • low fat cheddar (will syn when I see how much I use ;))
  • with cauli, carrots and peas
  • fruit
  • creamy yogurt (8)
and IF I gt hungry with that lot then I need:asskick:..
Im going to make the mince base with veggies and herbs and then top with layered potatoes and bake -then add the cheese sauce thingy and bake until golden and have it with the steamed carrots/cauli/peas -Im making it up as I go along (again) -so I will report back with a recipe if its nice :D
I have done 20mins on the wii -so at least that is a little bit out of the way:D
Im going to crack on with some x-stitch this afternoon...and of course I will get some more wii done...
Hope everyone has a lovely day ;)

Hi Capricorn! Just thought I'd pop in and say hello and well done for doing so brilliantly. I would've been the same as you the other day - soup and fruit just wouldn't keep me going till tea time!

I don't have time to do a diary (work full time, go to Zumba and dancing) but I'm being super good at the moment in the hope that Mr JBJ and Mr RS will notice how much weight I've lost since they last saw me!!!:8855: Well I've lost 24 pounds since I last saw them!!!!

If it's not a matter of international security, whereabouts in Germany are you? If you don't want to say, I understand perfectly. My ex was at RAF Bruggen for 3 years (I think it's closed now) and we lived in Wickrath, near Moenchengladbach. Then he was at Rheindahlen for 3 years and we lived at Dorthausen for a while and then on camp. I used to work in JHQ ....... those were the days!! My son was born at Wegberg Hospital.......... he's 27 now!!

Anyway, bye for now and KTF xx

Hi Trace

No its no big secret -we are in Bielefeld now, when we first got married we were in Hohne ....I love it out here..still it will have to come to an end -October next year  -still it has been great whilst it lasted..
Im sure MrJ and MrS -will notice the difference -and if not, they should be ashamed :p -well done on the loss too, ooh and just think off all the cals you will dance off at the concert :D

Well folks I have had a better day today -I upped my protein and it made a world of difference :p Im pondering trying a few red days (will wait until I start a new week) .... I figure it means I get 2 healthy A -which gives me 500ml of semi skimmed and 2 Bs so I can still have weetabix and then a couple of small potatoes in an evening (which is all I have most times anyway) .... hmmmmm decisions decisions.... Yup, think I will wait until I have weighed in on Sunday and then give it a whirl....
Dinner tonight was scrumdiddlyumptious.....
I will post the recipe in the morning (it was a make it up as I go along job) -but it was basically a minced beef/veg base with passat n herbs in -topped with sliced potatoes and then a mix of quark, fromage frais, eggs and Low fat cheddar-twas lovely (and we still have half left)
I have managed to get my exercise up again... 2hrs on the wii :D -so Im well ahead of my target ;)
Rigth off to catch up and then off to my bed..
Have a good night everyone:D

cheese topped minced beef + potato layer recipe

Afternoon all -late getting on here today ...

It is a glorious day here -hope you all have the same! ....

My EE meal plan for today looks something like this:-
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • lemon juice in warm water
  • 2 weetabix (B)
  • fruit and yogurt -Im not hungry yet, so won't be having a "proper" lunch
  • huge salad
  • ham
  • steamed potatoes
  • fruit
  • creamy yogurt (8)
I seem to have recovered from my "starvin marvin" episode the other day -and now Im back to the "not particularly hungry" mode :p
Hopefully if the decent weather lasts I will be going for a walk around the golf course early tomorrow morning (that racks up 3hrs of walking) *hmmm unless hubby finishes early today and I can convince him to go for a wander today too* ;)

ooohh as promised -just in case anyone wants it -here is the dish I made yesterday:-

I made it up as I went along , so some of this might be a little vague -so you can adjust it to suit - but here goes....
Cheese topped minced beef and potato layer
serves 4

free on EE if using cheese as HealthyA
  • 450g minced steak
  • 2 large onions chopped
  • 1 red pepper chopped
  • frozen mushrooms defrosted and squeezed out
  • 1tsp dried mixed herbs
  • 2 stock cubes -I use 1 beef/1 lamb
  • 1/2 carton passata
  • seasoning
  • sliced potatoes -I leave the skins on
topping
  • 150g ff fromage frais
  • 150g quark -I used one with herbs in
  • 2 eggs
  • seasoning
  • 84g low fat cheddar -2 healthy As (1 for me n 1 for hubby ;))
Now I made mine in the remoska -but you can just do it in a pan/oven so i will "do" it that way :D

  1. Seal the meat in a dry non stick pan
  2. add the onions and cook until translucent
  3. throw in the peppers and mushrooms and cook for approx 10 mins
  4. add the herbs and stock cubes and cook over a gentle heat for a couple of mins
  5. add the passata, stir well and leave to bubble away for about 10-15 mins -stiring occasionaly
  6. transfer into an oven proof dishe/dishes
  7. thinly slice the potatoes and arrange in layers on top of the mince -seaseon
  8. cover with foil and bake in a medium oven until the potatoes are tender
  9. remove the foil
  10. beat the quark, fromage frais, eggs and plenty of seasoning together
  11. pour over the potatoes
  12. bake for 10 mins
  13. add the grated cheese and bake until golden
I made it sound quite long winded -but its really not... I just waffle :8855:
We had ours with salad and there is still half left for tomorrow -so really it only uses 1/2 a HealthyB -it is soooooooo tasty and filling, and of course you can make variations on it too :D -I mean when I think about it..you could swap the potatoes for cooked pasta mmm

Well I have managed to do 30mins wii early this morning -so i have made a start... I guess I should get off and get my lunch :p
Have a lovely day everyone...

i love the look of your meal - like a lasagne, but using potato layers - bet it tasted fab! might try something similar one day when i have an EE day (i am more a Red days person!!!)

Loving your work! xxx
