Baby Charlie has arrived so lets get on with shedding the rest of this wobble!!!

It all sounds good.

I can't see pics when I log in from work, so I'll have to wait till I get home, to be able to respond in an informed fashion!

Good morning all :D

I have woken up in fine fettle this morning :bliss:......

So then -day 6 of my EE experiment and it should look like this:-
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • 1 orange
  • activia (2.5)
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 12 speed soup
  • 2 clementines
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • salmon fillet
  • tickled cabbage
  • tickled beetroot
  • peppers
  • baby tomatoes
  • frozen strawberries/blueberries
  • activia (2.5)
  • 250ml semi (6)
  • fibre plus (B)
  • lychees
so that comes to 1A+B and 11syns ...........
I need to sit down and decide on next weeks meal plan -after I decided if Im giving EE another week or going back to red/green :hmm:...
my new books arrived yesterday -I ordered the shopping guide/snack/free food books (and a set for mum) and I also got the new Italian cook book, the xmas book and the curry one too -so I will see what catches my eye in there .....
Well I had better get off and have my brekkie...have a lovely day everyone and keep up the great work!!

Good morning all from a snowy me :winter_brr:

We only have a smattering that has settled -but I don't think that we have seen the last of it :smiley1842:-hubby is most unimpressed as it means NO GOLF

Anyhoo -today is the last day of my EE week experiment... although Im not sure if I might give it another go this week as I feel like I have needed to eat a lot less :hmm:...., so then todays meal plan should look like this:-
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • orange
  • activia (2.5)
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 12 speed soup
  • frozen berries
  • activia (2.5)
  • 1 apple
  • tuna steak
  • tickled cabbage
  • tickled beetroot
  • 250ml semi (6)
  • fibre plus bar (B)
  • lychees
now then that makes 1A+B and 11 syns covered :D -I have developed quite an obsession with lychees (I had forgotten how much I used to love them :p) and now I sit most evenings with 8or9 in a little bowl and nomnomnom .... much better than grapes etc as I can just mindelessly shove em in ;)

Well folks I am now the owner of a new set of scales ready for tomorrow morning :fear:*gulp* -I swear they are whispering to me everytime I go to the bathroom - :secret:"step on me. you know you want to" -well I DON'T :snooty:... but I know tomorrow Im going to have to bite the bullet... so the plan is to see what my original scales say I have lost since I got on them last Sunday AND THEN I will venture over to "the dark side" and see where I am on the new ones and then start with that weight -so I will have to alter all my statistics on here :flamingmad: -still it doesn't mean I have lost any less -just that I have more to go to get to target :d'oh:
right folks I had better get off for now and get on with deciding what meal plan to do for next week..
Have a lovely day everyone and keep at it....

Morning capricorn!

So do you think you will stick with red/green days or have you converted a little to EE? Hopefully you will have a great loss tomorrow because of the shake up this week!

That is rubbish about your scales? Have you not weighed on your wii to get an idea of what weight you are? I can't believe they are 3 stone out :( I hope it is a lot less for you. Like you say though, doesn't take anything off your massive achievement of lbs already lost, just a bit longer to go that's all.

I did a biggest loser session yesterday, just 20 mins. My gosh! I was sweaty! I managed most of it, but there was one where you have to get down into plank position with your hands on the board and then go down onto your forearms, back up onto hands, down onto forearms... I couldn't even do one! Have you done that one yet?

I think I will do that until my resistance band and strap comes for EA active, and its my birthday at the end of Feb so have requested the EA more workouts so I can do some step as that's what I really enjoy, could do that all day!

Anyway I will stop clogging up your diary, I am off to find your corn beef hash recipe for OH.

Have a lovely day xx

Hiya Claire
Im really unsure if I will go back to red days - I may have another week of EE and see how I go,,,, I know I am eating less on EE as for some reason because I can have carbs "willy nilly" Im not so bothered -where as on reds because the carbs are my heBs my head tells me I "have" to eat them.... also because I only get 1A+B I automatically have to use 6syns for more milk -so I struggle less to use my syns -on red I seem to spend a lot of time eating things for the sake of using my syns  -Im not sure if that makes sense -but it does in my head :giggle:I have also found that by having frozen berries planned a couple of times a day -with yog -I sit down and eat it like a meal -so I don't keep mindlessly shoving fruit in my face through habbit....
It will be interesting to see if its made any difference this week -even taking * week into account -
I never thought to check on the wii ..... I know that everyone says they aren't very accurate -but it seems they would have been a better bet than my scales :flamingmad:. I don't think I have ever used the wii scales...
Bless him -hubby was half expecting me to go off at the deep end when he told me what the Drs scales weighed him compared to mine.... I think he is a bit shocked that Im so chilled about it -I must admit at one time that would have sent me head first into the fridge for a few weeks :rotflmao:. I just keep telling myself that I have still lost the same number of lbs -I just have further to go than I thought :patback::giggle:
There is an exercise called the plank (I think) that I can't do either :p -where you lie on your side with your forearm on the floor and then you are supposed to push yourself up so just your feet and arm stay on the floor  -there is more chance of me knitting fog than there is of me getting off the floor :rotflmao:..... why is it that what looks the easiest is always the ones you can't do
I like the "more workouts" disc... I love step I think its because I like a rhythm to work to....

ooohh whilst Im here -tonights dinner has been swapped -I have half of the Asian aubergine and pork thing I made earlier in the week -so i have taken it out of the freezer -makes a bit more space too -and its a "no think" meal for us tonight... hubby will have rice and I will do myself plenty of veggies and then just have a bit of the casserole in a bowl...

  • 250ml semi (A)
  • orange
  • activia (2.5)
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 12 speed soup
  • frozen berries
  • activia (2.5)
  • 1 apple
  • Asian aubergine and pork casserole (1)
  • veggies
  • 250ml semi (6)
  • fibre plus bar (B)
  • lychees
now then that makes 1A+B and 12 syns covered :D -
right I will get off and get next weeks meal plan sorted

Hellllooo Mrs :)

Thought Id pop along over here to see how you were? you've been MIA on the other thread for a few days :( you see we do miss you when you dont make an appearance :D;) xx
oohhh ello :D
Im tickity boo thankyou -I have been reading some of what going on ( I know "someone" is being whisked away for a start ;)) ..lucky devil you -ooohh and Im not a drinker.... but raspberry beer is yummy too...and out here you can get lime, orange or lemon with beer too -not that Im trying to lead you astray :D
the other thread just gets soooo busy, so I have fled back here where its not as hectic ..I may well pop in and out when I feel like it -just not on a daily basis :p
Hope you are havin a good weekend Mrs...

Good afternoon Capricorn.

Hoping the new scales will set your weight right, and you may be much lighter then you think!! Why haven't you been eating many carbs on EE, your sf foods are plenty to be able to do it, you must have been hungry? Hope you get a good loss and if you choose to go back to Red, then its the right plan for you, as you've done so well so far on that plan.

xx

Hi Nikki -the scales aren't going to make me lighter -trust me  - hubby reckons there is about a 3st discrepancy between the didgital ones I bought when I started SW and the ones he went on at the Drs  -I will find out tomorrow -just HOW bad it really is :p
I haven't been deliberately cutting down on carbs -but I have found that I haven't needed as many as I thought I would -but I did start to find on Green days that even though I didn't go mad with them I was feeling overfull and sluggish ... this week I haven't been hungry at all..far from it :happy036:I think its just my system adapting.. I know its sounds a bit :silly: -but because I don't use processed foods -cook in sauces etc, and because I have cut out all "junk" my body now doesn't like a lot of stuff it used to -even things like beef stew.. I slow cooked the braising steak and loads of onions and then fished my portion out before I added gravy granules for hubby.. and it was much nicer ;)
perhaps Im just a little bonkers :p
How is your week going?

Well I'l just have to make sure I call here more often to catch up on you're goings on then ;). Yup we go to Bruges for a little sample of the local fayre on monday...I'm just a little nervous as its by ferry (me and my dodgy ear/balance  not really sure yet how im gonna be)....but ive got some special travel bands that I still wear in the car anyway for when I got the vertigo bad in the early days before the op& in the months after.

Mmmm it does seem to be getting busy over there on the other thread:confused: ( I didnt recognise half the names when I got back from holiday to be honest )

So I read that you're having scales trouble :sigh: how annoying!! hope you put a harsh complaint in to them! BUT, every cloud has a silver lining as they say.....because whether the scales are wrong or not - it doesnt actually alter the AMOUNT that you have lost so far :D you superstar you

Dizzy -

I swear -when I go on a ferry hubby almost wets himself as I stand there going :devilangel:whilst everyone else seems fine ... I hate the blasted things... to say how big they are -I may as well be travelling in a dustbin lid :sign0137:..I know that its is my noggin though -so hopefully next time I go on one I won't be so bad...last time I went, I had not long since had my operation so I don't know if its better...
Hopefully you will be fine..perhaps with you having wobbly spells the movement of the boat will balance it out :cross: :p and if not -well think of all the room you will make :)9529:)for yummy things once you arrive *every cloud and all that*...
oohh whilst I think about it -my worst time is in bed -I feel like a spirit level where the bubble is moving from my head to my feet and back again... if you get the same -get MR Dizzy to drag you matress on the floor -I find you feel it less then (well I do) ;)
The scales WILL be going back to the manufacturer with a strongly worded letter.... rotten swines  - good job my German is pap or I would be on the phone giving them earache :D. Luckily Im in the frame of mind where I will just suck it up and get on with it...
hope you are having a lovely weeken Mrs...

All good thanks Capricorn. Gonna make some thai fish cakes later (not made them before), so that will be fun :). I have my interview Monday for my job that I have been matched to, in the new company structure so bricking it, If I said slightly, I would be just scraping the top of my nerves, lol.. Making some cue cards to take in with me, so I can refer to them and hopefully they will reduce my sibbly wobbly nerves. x

What ever those scales say.. you have lost 103lb, that can't be taken away..

Fingers crossed for a good weight loss tomorrow, on your EE week:D I am in awe of how chilled you are about...I would definitely be scoffing junk to make me 'feel better'!!

I was doing great up until wednesday and since then it has all gone a bit wrong:cry:...plus my nan's 80th is tomorrow so there is a big family party to go to, I don't really want to go tbh:rolleyes:

I think I have asked before but can't remember your answer:eek: Do you meal plan for everything you eat in a day...i.e do you pre-plan the whole week of breakfast/lunch/dinner and all snacks, or do you just plan for your main meal?

Hi all

Just had dindins nomnomnom :eating: - I ended up with the asian thing in wee bowl and then I had tickled cabbage, beetroot and fresh tomatoes on my plate - I swear that on day I will wake up looking purple with the amount of tickled cabbage/beetroot I eat :p
Nikki - Pinkies crossed for your interview.. I bet you will be fine once you are in there -I never minded interviews but I hated it when they all went onto those bl**dy group, team building -lets see if we can build a tower out of straws crap ... I just find that kind of thing so cringey
Hiya redmel
I think if I had realised my scales were wonky when I had lost a few lbs I would have lost the plot -but because Im further along I can deal with it...
Family do's are a blinkin minefield aren't they :sigh: -so far I haven't had to deal with any (another reason I want to shift as much as I can before we move back ;)) - it has really made life easier not having a social life :giggle:....
I used to just plan my main meals -but now I have gone all ocd on it and I plan everything  I know it might not work for some -but I have found that by knowing what is coming it stops me thinking "ooh I just fancy xyz" because I know Im always going to be getting something really tasty, and once its done it I find it much easier and more relaxing (I usually have a few syns spare each day "just in case" too)... especially having done EE this week because I knew that I only had 1A+B so if I didn't plan then I might get caught short ;) as it is I have coped much better than I thought...
you can always just plan 7 days and then pick n choose which day as you go to see how you get on.
Give me a yell if I can help with anything -recipes etc,,, Im a sad sac I love plotting n planning :D

Would it be really cheeky of me to ask to see an example of one of your weekly plans...pretty please.

xx

Good morning all :wavey:

Well -we shall start with the good news - I have lost 4lbs this week :bliss: (and its * week ) which means I got my 7.5st shiney :party0048:..... and THAT is where the good news ends :sad0071: as I then got out the new set of scales..... now put down your cuppas folks as I don't want anyone choking.... the new scales weigh me in at 3st9lbs heavier :faint2:... so as you can see I have changed all my statistics... so I now have 81lbs to go - so looking on the bright side -Im still ovef half way there-oooohh and even if my average weekl loss settles at 1lb a week I will still be at target before I go to do the Nepal trek :D. My poor hubby was gutted on my behalf when he saw the difference, I think Im taking it better than he is :giggle: - the more I lost the more I thought my scales were wrong, mainly because I had seen photos on here of other people of "my" weight and they were much smaller -now I know why :rotflmao: oh and whilst Im looking on the bright side I have a wardrobe full of pretty colthes now -mainly in 18s and some 16s ...so at least I haven't changed sizes :p..
So then my neighbour is phoning the company that produce the original scales for me and we will take it from there -but they WILL be getting them back -and that is putting it mildly!!!

anyhoo -moving on - I have decided that after a 4lb loss I will give EE another whirl this week ;)-here is todays meal plan:-
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • mixed berries
  • activia intensely (2.5)
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • pork chop with saged onions
  • swede
  • carrots
  • broccoli
  • nobbies
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 2 clementines
  • 3 ryvita (B)
  • cheese triangle (2)
  • ham
  • tickled cabbage, beetroot, gherkin
  • tomatoes
  • peppers
  • lychees
  • 250ml semi (6)
  • activia (2.5)
now then -that "little" lot covers my A+B and 13 syns ...
Redmel -I will put my weekly plan for this week on here this afternoon, Im just finishing it off -its an odd one this week as hubby is on duty tomorrow which means I just sort myself out but then he gets Tuesday off in lieu -so it confuddles my routine...
right I will get off and finish my meal plan off... have a lovely day all and keep at it -we are getting there :D

:wavey:Morning Capricorn!!!!

Wow!!! 4lbs!!!! Go you!!!! :wow:

It's a bit of a b*gger about your scales but as you say, you've still lost the same amount of weight. It's just a shame that you've got further to go to target than you thought. :( But never mind, the way you're going, it won't be long until you get there.

I don't really know how much I weigh this week. I got the result of my mock bookkeeping exam and I failed abysmally! I've got 8 O levels, 3 A levels and a 2:1 degree but this bl**dy bookkeeping just seems to be beyond me!! Anyway, I had a chocolate binge on Thursday and Friday, plus a chinese takeaway and a couple of drinks with DD last night, so goodness only knows how much I weigh now!

The real exam is a week on Wednesday so I'm cramming as much as I can into my brain between now and then. I've even bought some tablets in Boots that are supposed to improve your brain function, so let's hope they have some effect!!

No more chocolate or any other cr*p this week though - it only makes me feel :sign0137:
and that won't help me will it???

Right, I'd better get on with some revision!!!! Have a good week!

Take care, lots of love, Trace xxx

Hi Capricorn - well done on another fabulous loss this week!

What a bummer about your scales - are you absolutely sure the new set are right? Would it be helpful to go to the Doctor's and get weighed once and for all there so that you know for certain?

If your new scales are right, your attitude to your new weight is amazing...I think I would be gutted and tearing my hair out! I'm sure you will soon be catching me up and overtaking me again! x

What a fantastic loss....4lbs is amazing!

Booo, to the stupid scales, but good on you for staying positive:D You will have that weight off in no time anyway;)

I look forward to seeing your plan. Off out soon to this annoying family do, so will look tonight once all the squiddlies are snoozing....

CApricorn.. well done on your loss, seems EE has agreed with you :). Shame about the scale, but.. you know you've lost all that now "107" lb's, which is amazing.. You feel and look the same as yesterday, and probaly even better with almost a bag of spuds gone off of you!! Well done honey, really pleased for you xx
