Try cooking chicken and leaving it in the fridge to nibble on, or boiled eggs. If you have something ready made to snack on, your more likely to go for that than something fattening
I cook up a gammon (the one with the least amount of fat on it) and snack on that. I think sometimes I just want something salty! Husband has cherry toms to nibble on and usually I have carrot sticks. Can nibble through quite a few of them like bugs bunny in one go but at least its SF!
