Beelishy's VLCD Weight Loss Adventure!!

Morning!

I'm so sorry about your grandmother. It's very hard being so far away when a loved one is ill.

When you ship internationally you usually ship by crate. You pay by the container size and ether they or you will pack it full. (My neighbors ship a crate to the Philippines every year. They have a crate delivered and they literally fill it -- completing a packing list as they do -- for customs). Disassembling, putting stuff inside stuff (wrapping and packing stuff in drawers), etc. helps use the space well. I usually pack my own belongings (but I'm insured for transit with my renter's policy) - and I will try and put fragile things in their original packaging - and fit them tightly into a larger box. I use my towels, sheets, blankets, duvets, etc. as a king materials, too.

Are you flying out of the North or traveling down to London? Will you ship your cat over early? My friend just shipped herpes to parents' and she doesn't leave for two months (but you can't ship pets if the temperature is too high and they were sent to Tampa. I'll get you rules from the base on what you need for your pet.

I know the oatmeal is high in carbs, but it is also high in fiber. It should balance it out a bit.

Edited: oh my! How did it catch on fire? I'm glad no one was hurt.

We dont have much to ship so we will just pack a few boxes..its mostly pictures, letters, mementos...and some of the girl's toys (stuffed animals and smaller stuff) and ship them over with parcel monkey or somesuch. We dont have enough to fill a crate. Already looked into that.

And I have the company Im going to use for the cat..just need to get a new quote off them, because its been ages since I got one. They provide the crate/kennel thing and sort out his pet passport and everything. So for the price they come and pick him up and deliver him to us on the other side. Thats it.

The oatmeal packs are much lower in carbs than the spag bol....13 compared to 21.

So today just gets better and better....

Zoe was drinking out of her cup and walking along and randomly fell over and cut her mouth on the straw. It wasnt bad AT ALL but it did bleed and she did cry for a few mins. She's totally fine now and just ate a custard cream.

Then I walk into the playroom (which also contains a set of drawers with their clothes in...we dont own wardrobes) and Zoe had emptied out the bottom 3 drawers and strewn the clothes all over the room and into the hall. And it wouldnt be soooo bad if it was just hers or just tabbys but its a mix. 1 drawer was Tabbys and the other 2 hers. So i had to go through everything and some of it...check tags because i couldnt remember whose is whose. *sigh*

Seriously, it needs to be bedtime like...4 hours ago.

When it rains, it pours. Bless.

i had a sleep with the girls this afternoon. Just an hour but i so so needed it ..esp after todays antics.

when i got up...my naughty carb monster tried REALLY hard to convince me that " i DESREVE a custard cream. go on, just 1. Its been a hard day", it said.

And then my brain woke up properly and said....."eff off. its been a hard day...so what? is a biscuit going to change that? no. And, deserve? no, i dont DESERVE a biscuit. Im not a dog who just mastered a trick. I am a grown, clever person. I dont need a treat of ANY kind for simply living life. What I DO DESERVE is to prove to myself that I can get to goal. And that aint going to happen by eating custard fkn creams. SO STEP OFF, BIOTCH!!"

I feel much better now. I WIN. lol

Building that resistance muscle! Well done.

Just had a chicken kebab. Basically, salad and chicken. LOLOL. But it sounds far more special/normal when you say "chicken kebab".

Gave hubby the pitta bread and had no chips. Stuffed now. Only had about 1 chicken breast worth and about 1.5 cups of salad. ....if that.

Ive made up the girls' easter baskets too. So cute! Saturday night, we will colour eggs FOR THE FIRST TIME. sad that the eggs are stupid brown ones. but cant be helped. nowhere around me has any white ones. boo. hope it works ok!

Sounds like good choices on the meal.

I need to sort my DD's basket. However, she's a teenager and has been sleeping in all break . . . So, I could probably do it Easter Morning! LOL I should go get other bits yo add to it. We haven't colored eggs this year - but I buy white eggs on the base. I was going to hard boil a dozen anyway - I'll ask DD if she wants to color them.

Easter isn't a big a deal with no little ones - and DS in the States. I bought a whole turkey to cook (was cheaper than just a breast). I invited my friend and her family over - I'm not sure if they'll come or not.

Morning!

Hubby is off today. Yay!

I called my gran yesterday. Shes constantly out of breath. She couldnt talk long. I love her so much. I hope her suffering ends soon...but my god - Im going to miss her so much. And Im heartbroken that my kids wont have her. She is seriously the best granny ever.

We are going to check home bargains for any possible good deals on stuff for zoes bday. Her haul thus far is pretty pathetic :(

And Im going to get some M&Ms or smarties and chocolate frosting for zoe's cake. :) And eggs.

Food today:

Im not sure. Im really temped to have 2 shakes and a chili pack with some swede (to use up the rest of the swede) and then tomorrow just have 3 shakes and a bar. last push before WI on Sunday...

So today...

choc shake
banana shake
2 eggs
chili pack with cheese and swede chips
milk in coffee
738/55

and tomorrow i will just have shakes or shakes and a chili pack (no swede).

Hey lady, so sorry about granny I know how close my son is with his grandma, she's like a second mother to him when he's at his dads and can only imagine your relationship is much the same :( his grandma is very frail and has always had ill health I dread the day when something happens to her I think he loves her more than his dad (actually I know he does). I've never been close with either or my grandmothers, one is in Italy and the other is...well not really interested!! Do you think she'll hang on until you get there later this year? Or are you hoping she doesn't so she isn't suffering, such an awful thing to be so far away, lots of love to you xxx

Food plans sound perfect you're doing great xxx

She hasnt got much longer, I dont think. And she's in Memphis (well...just outside, in Northern Mississippi) anyway, which is nowhere near where we will be. *sigh* And I just want her suffering to end. Because I love her THAT much. Its hard...but its the best for her. Theres no way she will come back from this and have anywhere near a decent quality of life. So... yeah. Bleh.

I WANT AN EASTER EGG!! hahaha. We have a thing in our house. The first year I was here, Mal got my the most amazing Easter egg. It was massive and gorgeous and soo yummy. And EVERY YEAR SINCE, Ive not had one because ive "been on a diet". Im annoyed at that. And annoyed that Im still "on a diet" this year and not having an egg. :/ hahah. It seems kinda trivial but its a major thing for me. What it actually MEANS...Im not articulating it properly but yeah.

I really hope Im under 218 on WI. :/ lol

Morning!

I saw South Shields on the news today. It looks really nice up north weather-wise.

I want an Easter Egg, too -- but I keep rereading this:

Bad news: Burning off just one Easter egg can take FOUR HOURS of non-stop walking (and even a Creme Egg takes 50 minutes)

Fitness expert Darren Casey, from Full&Slim, says a 'deluxe' Easter egg can also be burned off through 80 minutes of running.

Full Story:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...e-Easter-egg-FOUR-HOURS-non-stop-walking.html

I shared it on FB, but I wasn't sure if you saw it.

Post a picture of the cake once you've made it. You're very creative.
Can you give her experiences rather than stuff? I know she's young - but I gave my DD concert tickets for birthday. Maybe you could use the money to take her ice skating, to the cinema, etc. since you're moving and have another child close in age -- they probably have loads of toys. Maybe new sandals?

You are doing really well. So sorry to hear about your gran. It can be such a special relationship and so hard to be so far away.

I so know what you mean about the Easter Egg. My mum is always saying 'you don't want chocolate do you?' Actually yes I do and I want to eat it like a normal person and have it in the house a week later but it's never going to happen. She bought us vouchers for JL this year and I think I'm going to buy flowers and maybe some smoked salmon for Easter breakfast. I bought OH a fab Heston egg and just looked up the calories - 2000+!!! I've said I'll have a taste but that will have to be enough. I'm definitely not running for 80 minutes!

Have a good day.

Morning

TOTM started today so I checked the scales so Im not totally sad tomorrow (WI day!!) if Ive gained loads. I havent gained loads, but I havent lost either :/ 218.8 I guess for TOTM week, I will take it be ok with it. But grrr. lol. That said....I used to gain 5lbs EASILY during TOTM week. So 218 (sts) is great really. Will stick to plan and just hope for the best tomorrow. As long as Ive been on plan, any weight cant be REAL weight. So, no worries. :)

Food today:

Shake x2
Spag bol and salad
Coconut bar (i love these for 5g carbs! bargain! lol)
2-3 eggs

829/56

Nothing planned today..or this weekend for that matter. Saving saving saving! Today is sunny again but chilly and tomorrow its back to rain and bleh. Tonight we colour eggs. Im so excited. My mom sent an egg dying kit from the states last year (after easter. typical of my mother. lol) and we are gonna use that. I havent used them since i was little. :D eggy.JPG

So excited. Its got stickers and all sorts. :D She's gonna have so much fun and OMG...Im sure when I was little we used to boiling water for the eggs but this says just vinegar and water. Not vinegar and boiling water. So, WIN!! I had to laugh at the colors it says on the box though...."red, orange, yellow, TEAL, DENIM, purple". So...green and blue, then? hahaha :p

We had a mini- (ok kinda major) freak out yesterday about Mal's healthcare in the states. We thought we had it sorted but then saw something that said he had to wait 5 years...and,,anyway..it got confusing and we (mainly me) got panicked. We sorted it in the end...kinda. But still. Its all so incredibly daunting. Still...it will work out. :D

Right. Off to get the girls their breakfast. Wish TOTM would hurry up and p!ss off already. Hahaha, its just started last night and Im already fed up. Ew. :p

So...my BFF is pregnant right.

AND HER DUE DATE IS TABBYS BDAY. Odds are it wont happen on that day....I know. But its SO CUTE! :D :D :D

Oh and to say thank you to my sister, I bought her some Glitter Mod Podge and 2 big books of GOOD paper. Just a little thank you gift. And not only was she suirprised and LOVED it, but she's making some really awesome stuff (already!!) Yay!

Enough babbling. I want to go back to bed and i cant..so I might as well get the day going. :D Have a lovely Easter weekend, all!

I'm on totm too we've synchronised awww!!!! haha

ugh - I also know what you mean about the Easter Egg - although tbh most years I say 'what the hell' and have it anyway. My Mum has got me an Easter Egg but I'm going to give it to OH. NEXT YEAR (always next year...) I can eat it like a normal person and I'm going to have a delicious one.

is it any warmer up there today?? xxx

No. Im freeeezing lol. But that could be ketosis too. oh, no, i just looked. its 1C - so WINTER, then. seriously fkn ridiculous. i am so over the weather here. lol. no wonder ive got a cold.

next year...we dont do eggs...we do various candy stuffs and choc. I will have some, like a normal person. :) *drool*

Ok. Holy crap, you guys. Exante do pancake packs now. Like...a sachet of pancake mix. You just mix it with 100mls cold water. I ordered one of each flavour to try. It just came and I made up the blueberry-raspberry ones. AND OMG

You get a decent amount of batter....i got 4 or 5 palm sized pancakes (which i will pop in the fridge and graze on. Keeps me going til the afternoon! and its just 1 pack) and its got a nice texture....very similar to the pancakes made with oatmeal but less oaty. Which i actually prefer. I like a smoother feel. AND. Its lovely!! The fruit taste is subtle and its subtly sweet as well. Perfect. I am totally in love. They ARE 20g carbs each and 200 cals. BUT. Worth it.

I could do pancakes, a shake, a savoury pack (either chili or spag bol) and a bag of asda smart price salad (cheap and v low carb) and a bar for under 750 cals and under 70 carbs. Im going to have a trial run today and tomorrow (blueberry ones today and maple tomorrow!) and then if it goes well, I will order a box of 50 as theyre currently £50 for a box of 50. yay
