Beelishy's VLCD Weight Loss Adventure!!

So tomorrow, Im going to make some soup I think. I hate Quorn products, except for the (new and improved) chicken style pieces. So ive got a bag in the freezer and Ive got some carrots and celery and onion and tinned tomatoes. Throw in some stock and some herbs/seasoning and bam! free soup! lol.

Food for tomorrow -

egg on toast OR shreddies and banana for breakfast

Soup and/or chickpea stuff (i really need to give it a name! lol) on ryvitas for lunch

beans and cheese jacket potato for dinner

nectarines/banana/canteloupe for snacks- maybe a boiled egg or two depending on how hungry i get.

water/coffee/diet lemonade/crystal light

I must be 100% on it tomorrow. those biscuits need to be put out of sight and hubby said he wont get anymore after theyre gone. its good because although its not him doing this...he doesnt need them...its just rubbish. lol.

anyway, im doing this because i WANT to as well as NEED to. So ive gotta just do it and do it right! I would LOVE to be down a stone by my 35th birthday (sept 11th). But 7-10 lbs should be pretty easily done so Im going to aim for that.
 
I'm lucky my OH is doing SW as well so we don't have horribly tempting stuff like chocolate and biscuits in the house, it must be hard seeing it in a cupboard and not being able to eat it :(
 
It is. Very. :/ I wish he would do it with me. But he's not in the right frame of mind and I dont want to nag. I hated when people would nag me to "go on a diet". It would make life a billion times easier though, and we would both be healthier for it!
 
The OH was the reason I joined in the first place, I went to support him as he had to lose weight for medical reasons. I do have plan for him too, he's useless at getting his head around it, so I do a menu for me and a menu for him (he's a meat eater)
 
yeah. I think that a by-product of my doing this is that the hubby will actually be eating healthier (aside from whatever he eats while he is out at work through the day). Actually he usually sorts his breakfast out himself. He doesnt bother having much in the morning, although what he does have is usually unhealthy lol. but his dinners will be down to me. lol. he's a meat eater as well but sometimes he is ok to go without....like if im having boiled egg salad or beans/eggs on toast or something..he will have that too...maybe when he is ready he will do it with me!
 
Mornin!

Started off a bit (much) better today. :D Other than ZoeBEAST deciding to wake me up at 6:15. boo. She's now crashed out in her highchair and i dont dare move her. lol. Ive reclined it for her and shes happily snoozing away. Its alright for some...pfft. lol

Anyway. Food:

Breakfast- 2 eggs micro-scrambled on 2 slices of burgen bread with a tspn ketchup and a slice of plastic cheese :D haha.

As ive no idea really...Im going to count the cheese (it wasnt light, sadly lol) as my HEa and the bread as both of my HEbs. Ketchup was 1syn.

I made my breakfast and then i kinda got sidetracked because my kitty's new cat tree thing was delivered and I wanted to put it together for him. The fact that Zoe is walking now and shes much more interested in him than Tabby was makes him most unhappy. lol. So we bought him a new cat tree that we planned to put in the corner out of the way so he can still be in with us but out of the way in his own space. Anyway...so I wanted to put it together. So i ended up only having 3/4 of my breakfast because by the time I got back to it, it was YUCK. lol.

Snack - 1/2 a small canteloupe and a nectarine.

Lunch- the rest of the chickpeas on 2 ryvita - 5 syns.

So far Ive used 1 HEa and both HEbs and 6 syns.

Dinner tonight is going to be bean and cheese jacket so I will HEa the cheese and the rest is free. AWESOME. :D
 
oooh! camping. i love the idea of it but would never do it. im too....snobby. HAHA. I cant stand the idea of sleeping outside with bugs and dirt. Im laughing at myself, btw. its just how i am. :p enjoy your evening! :D xx

I've never fancied camping but this is glamping & it was great. We booked an en suite wigwam for 2 nights & we now cant wait to go back.

Lou...isnt it great? Nomnomnom. I had a baked potato with a WHOLE TIN of beans. lol. and my 30g of cheddar. And a little side salad of just chopped cucumber and tomato with a tblspn of light garlic n herb kraft drizzled over. yummy!! now im totally stuffed. i will have a coffee later on if i fancy a treat. (LOL!)

Wondering if its worth it to go to Aldi tomorrow. Its not terribly far but the bus that goes there doesnt run on Sundays :/ So I would have to go Monday.

Hmm. Will have a think.
 
Right. I just had a coffee and Im gonna head to bed.

Ive made me shopping list and I think Im going to make a nice big pot of quorn and veg soup. All free/superfree. To have for lunches.

And then Im going to have jacket sweet potato a couple of nights, boiled egg salad a couple of nights and maybe some pasta and sauce (im gonna try the high veg stuff!) for the couple of nights when I cant be bothered with anything more. lol Im going to make a Sunday lunch tomorrow. I usually just have veg, mash, a couple of yorkshires and a bit of gravy. Im going to try to slimline it. Leave the butter out of my mash and salt the water theyre cooked in, instead...and just use a splash of milk. I know I will have to syn some of it (the yorkshires and gravy, for instance) but If I take it easy the rest of the day, hopefully it wont be too bad. I want to make this "diet" livable. In that i dont want to feel stupidly deprived. Of course, there are things and patterns of eating and such that have to change...thats what got me to this point in the first place. But yeah. Just thinking out loud and blabbering. :p

So off to Morrisons in the morning. :D

And I am pretty sure that my TOTM is due within the next week or so. I feel horrifically bloated and just bleurgh. My PMDD down-swing will probably kick in any day now *sigh*.

I need to research that because my doc said that there is talk that certain dietary changes really help the symptoms. and since I am trying to avoid going on prozac...(or any tablets) ...especially while the girls are so young and need me so much....prozac made me gain weight last time i took it, too. Meh. lol. Anyway. BLABBER BLABBER - shaddup and go to bed, self.

HAHAH. see. Im nuts :p

Mornin :)

I made a trip to Morrisons this morning. And spent a fortune. lol. But its always the same when Im starting a new (diet! lol) eating plan. I got loads of fresh fruit and veg and tins of toms and beans and allsorts.

So I kinda skipped breakfast. I had 2/3 of a banana. (I always only have 2/3 at the most because the rest goes to Zoe. lol) I wasnt actually hungry though...so it wasnt a big deal.

Then I took Tabby and we headed out and did our shop.

I got in and put everything away and tried a danio. Except I got the peach instead of the passionfruit not realizing what I had done and only after I got home and looked at it did I realise that its LOW fat as opposed to NO fat. Boo. So I ate it. LOL. Might as well get it outta the way. Ahem. It was BLOODY GORGEOUS! omg! I also got a cherry one and strawberry one to try. i will DEFINITELY be getting more of those next week. (or later this week after theyre gone! lol). So creamy. And protein. And. MMmmmmm.

In about an hour Im gonna go in and make a dinner. I cant wait. lol.

So food today:

B: 2/3 banana

L: Danio peach, packet of ryvita minis - i guess i syn them both? eek. lol or can the ryvitas be used as HEb?

D: free/superfree veg, mashed potato made with some ff greek yog, gravy, 1 yorkshire pud

S: nectarine, carrot sticks, apple

Im really confused about the Healthy extras. How do you know if something can be counted as HE or not? Like the ryvita. I know the sesame ones i get can be counted as HEb but how do you know if the minis can as well? Is there a book I can get that will say "can be used as HEa/b OR x-number of syns"?

anyway. a weird day. days hubby is home are always weird, foodwise. the rest of the time i can kinda get into my own little routine...
 
What a busy morning!

I got up and had to dash out to the docs to get Zoe an appointment for today. You have to ring on the day at 8:15am to try to get a same day appointment and Mondays are particularly horrible for that...so I walked along instead and got her one for 10:50. Her chesty cough is no better and I wasnt happy with just leaving her to it. So I got the appointment and walked home. Its been raining steadily all day. Yuck! :(

When i got home i made a pot of soup - its deffo a soupy kinda day. Its got cannelini beans (sp?!) quorn chicken pieces, celery, carrot, shredded white cabbage, peas, onion, sweetcorn and half a tin of plum tomatoes, chopped up. Its bloody gorgeous! Anyway, i set that to simmer and made breakfast. Then cleaned up and sat down for about 20 mins before I had to get ready to head back out for the appointment. We walked along (still raining! grrr!) and saw the doc who agreed that, given the history (tabby had this exact same thing, which cleared up fine with antibiotics within 5 days!) and the fact she could hear a slight crackling in zoe's lower lobe of her left lung (exactly the same as tabby!!) she would give us some antibiotics to give her. Yay! my poor girl has been so chesty and I hate when my kiddos suffer! So I walked along and picked up the prescription and then went to the bank (hubby said, dont go - its raining....but i figured...i was out anyway! lol) and then went and paid my credit card bill (ouch!) and then popped into greggs (not tempting for, dont worry! lol i hate greggs!) for a treat for the hubby and Tabs.

Ive gotten home about 20 mins ago....and just went in to get some soup. Ive sat down with it and started typing this...not realizing my soup has gone cold....so I need to go warm it up. HA!

So food today:

B: 1/2 banana, 2 slices burgen bread, 1 micro-scrambled egg, 1 tspn ketchup, 1 slice low low burger cheese - 2 Heb, 1 HEa, 1 syn (just realised that its a Tablespn thats a syn, only been having a teaspn so yay, i get more for my syn! hahah.)

S: 3/4 nectarine (zoe had the rest. lol), watermelon

L: Soup! FREEEEEEEEEEEEE hahaha. love that. an entire meal, free!!!! :p

S: had a packet of ryvita minis - I can only find syns for the bigger 30g bag (5 syns) and I had the smaller one from the multipack but I will just count the 5.

D: Jacket sweet potato with tomato-y spinach OR quorn fajita salad. Not sure yet. :D Either way free, unless I add cheese or dressing. Will edit later. :) EDIT: Had the quorn fajita salad. 2 syns, HEXa

S: So I may have a coffee and an alpen light bar later tonight. if i syn it - would it count as 3 syns, same as the Hi Fi light bars?

So thats 2 x HEb and 2 x HEa and 8 Syns. I may have my danio later instead of the alpen bar. So thats another 1 syn I think it was. So....doing fine today.
