Beelishy's VLCD Weight Loss Adventure!!

Mornin!

Im going to go put some soup on as Ive finished my last little pot. Another (just over a) pound down on my scales which is good. The downward trend is what Im focused on for right now...but I was excited to see 263 because when I left off doing Slim n Save in May (just before my hols) I was 264 - so Ive gotten under that again, finally. :) MIni-mini-goal is to be under 260 on my scales again. Hopefully within a week or two I can get there!

So today Ive gotta go to morrisons for more danio, some more knorr powder, some options or DE flavoured coffee (didnt know that existed!!) (for the scan bran Im gonna buy tomorrow! LOL) - I may get a curly wurly to throw in. Also - NAPPIES. I tried the new ones from morrisons and theyre FRIGGIN HORRIBLE!. Theyre a great fit...nice a stretchy (i get the active fit ones) and theyre nice a thin....but the leak at night! twice in a row Zoe has leaked which wakes her up before 7am and then its a struggle to get her back to sleep- if i manage it at all! Asdas are great - theyre not as stretchy but theyre absorbent and i quite like them...and theyre much cheaper than pampers (my faves).

Anyway - enough grumping on about nappies. :D

Ha ha ha love the nappy rant, so glad I don't need them any more. They were the bane of my life, I used cloth nappies with the 2 youngest and as kind as they are for the environment they're icky to deal with.
I was going to wish you good luck for your WI tomorrow but by the sounds of it you don't need it :)
 
I verrry briefly considered using cloth nappies....but decided not to. Now, Im looking forward to the day I no longer need to faff on with nappies! Not that Im wanting to rush things along....babies arent babies for long and i love this bit...but damn....nappies - haaate! Zoes still in them (obv lol shes 15 months old) and Tabby uses pull ups for bed only, which is fine and better than changing sheets every day! lol Bottles too. Will be glad when Zoes off bottles. Washing them is a pain! lol I love being a mammy though, really :D

Anyhoo....

soup is on...breakfast done. gonna wash up the dishes and then head out, methinks.

I figured, if Im going to lose no lbs, 1lb, 2lbs a week...I may as well actually eat some FOOD in the process. LOL. SnS was just not giving me the losses and obviously wasnt agreeing with my body, not to mention its EXPENSIVE. lol Im going to REALLY try to follow it this time....give myself til xmas and see how I get on. so far, according to my scales Im down 4lbs and I know its first week...but if I just consistently head down overall from month to month then eventually i will get there and I just have to learn to accept that its going to take TIME. The quick fixes just dont work for me!

mornin! its weigh in day! my class isnt until 7pm though.

I was thinking of keeping it very light today and not drinking as much (i usually drink at least 2L of water, plus coffee) so that I dont weight as heavily tonight. but then i realized that is obsessive behaviour and im trying to get past all of that nonsense. lol. so....food for today:

B: egg on toast as usual

dinner wont be until after i get back from class, it saves me RUSHING through it. I checked on my scales this morning and am exactly the same as yesterday. ive done that all week. friday weighed and saturday was the exact same. then sunday down a bit, monday exactly the same. then tuesday down a bit, then wednesday the exact same again...yesterday down to 263.6 and today - yep, the same....exactly! SO WEIRD. lol. not complaining though!

Im getting ready to head out in about 35 mins. Ive got a couple of potatoes in the oven to have jacket potatoes with beans and cheese when i get in. Hubby asked if he could have chips tonight with the girls...which was fine because it means i dont have to cook and I can just get myself ready to go. :D

Starting to get nervous. I will be so gutted if I dont show a loss afterall on their scales. :/
 
Hey 2.5 is still a good loss, well done :) My consultant told us you've got to drop 3000 calories to lose 1 lb so this week just gone you will of dropped 7500 calories it's a lot when you think of it that way.x x
 
I have a feeling my PMDD down-swing is upon me. Ugh. I just feel so gutted this morning.

A) Hubby and I bought (against my better judgement, at first) a Happyland bundle and a Fairie Wonderland bundle (toys) on ebay. Spend a fortune. Allegedly in excellent condition. *sigh* they arrived yesterday and the bottom of one of the bigger bits is broken/cracked (doesnt affect use, but still!!) and theyre all ...grubby. She couldnt run a baby wipe over them before posting? Really? And mention that the one bit is broken?! I havent had the chance to take it ALL out of the box and have a proper look and Im a bit scared to now :/ *sigh* These are supposed to be pressies for Tabs to go with the stuff we are gonna get her from Smyths and are discontinued. But honestly. I just feel like...UGH.

B) Im so unhappy with my first week results, even though, logically, I know that its a loss and thats fab. thats the whole point of being on SW...to eat healthily and lose weight. And I did, in fact, lose weight. But. Ugh. I just feel like if ive only lost 2.5 in my first week...how LONG is it going to take to get the rest of this weight off? I can only keep on going and know that I will get there eventually..and at the very least, I am putting healthy things into my body.

not really sure about the rest of today. I need to make some chickpea sandwich filler and some bean and veg chilli for dinner. I also have a portion of soup left over. I will add the rest in a bit, once Ive had the time to go prep the stuff. Zoe is a bit whingey this morning so Im not sure how much time Im going to realistically have to get stuff done in the kitchen today. I may have to make due with a pasta and sauce for lunch/dinner! lol Takes less time than chopping/cooking.

I know it seems like a massive task, but unless you get started you'll never get there, you made a great start this week and that's with eating nice food and not stupid packs!! Go girl! Even one pound a week is four stone in a year

That Ebay seller is out of order!! I'd ask for a partial refund and threaten to report them
 
I should, shouldnt I? I think Im going to resell it all anyway....honestly. I will almost certainly take a loss but I would be happier getting her better (new!!) stuff for her bday. I told hubby Im not happy and he feels guilty. He thought it would be a good idea and isnt impressed either. Lesson learned!! *sigh*
 
Sorry to hear you're feeling low today, hopefully this afternoon will bring a smile :) if I were you I would send it back and get a full refund and if they refuse report then to ebay, they're quite good at protecting buyers from shoddy sellers x
