Beelishy's VLCD Weight Loss Adventure!!

It can happen I've gained 9 lbs in 2 days before now :( All water though so came off again. It could be anything our bodies naturally fluctuate so don't worry too much x

Thank you to the lovely SW girls who were so helpful. :D

Im going to try to break my carb dependency (again!)

Tomorrow:

Danio with chopped nuts

4 boiled eggs or 4 eggs scrambled with peppers and mushrooms

Quorn cooked in salsa on salad.

Danio with chopped nuts.

coffees with up to 150ml of 1% milk and sweeteners

Thanks Lou <3

So this morning, like a dafty, I forgot to weigh myself before I had a shower and had 2 sips of coffee....but I caught it before I completely forgot all day. Whew! lol

So today 266.0lbs.

Having my coffee. Will start on my water afterwards. Not hungry right now, which is excellent.

Been looking at Exante. Going to see how I get on with this and I may or may not order a few of the packs that appeal to me (apple and cinnamon porridge? OOOH! YES! and if i can make it into a panccake EVEN BETTER OMG lol. I think only Lou shares my love of the pancakes and will get my excitement over this) and then I may or may not try it for 4 weeks. We are SO skint. But if Im buying then instead of food and its not more than I would be spending on food for me for the weeks anyway, then perhaps I can justify it. :D

Today, the crappy Health Visitor is coming to do Zoe's 9-12 month check. She's over 15 months old. No offense who anyone who may be a HV cheerleader, but I cant STAND them. lol. My experience with HVs has been nothing but hilariously bad. and I think theyre pointless for the vast majority of women and ESPECIALLY for women who have healthy, normal kiddos and ARENT first time mothers. I only didnt tell her to p**s off because I dont want her to think that we are hiding anything. Otherwise, really, i cant be bothered with it. LOL. uuuggghhh. So I have to go through the motions with her (this is Zoe's 4th different HV in 15 months, and she hasnt seen one AT ALL since she was about 7months old. And Tabby had 7 different ones by the time she was 8 months and then didnt see another one (like Zoe) until her mandatory checks. Since then theyve been different every single time, too. But...I digress....
So we have a health visitor coming today. Yipee! :D :p

Hubby is gonna get his hair cut this morning.

Its feeling very autumnal here the last few days. I think summer is well and truly over in the Northeast of England. Boo!

We are gonna head out to run some errands later on.

And that's it for today. Food as above.

Anyway. Here we go.....!! Have a fab day everyone :D xx

Had my coffee and my shower. Then gave T her breakfast and then a bath and got her dressed. Made breakfast for hubby and Z. Then tidied front room, hoovered and cleaned Z up. Hubby is off out getting his hair cut. We are now just chilling, waiting for HV to come (and then to GO!) so we can head out. Ive started on my water. Should probably have my danio soon but Im not really hungry. *shrug* May just save it until we get back.

Booked my contact lens check for next monday. YAY! Need new lenses v v soon. LOL. Kinda overdue! :p

Hiya Min <3 How are ya? Miss you around here!! xx

So, I had an oopsie and had about 5 chips while I was putting them out for T. Mindlessly shoved them in my gob, having forgotten what I was meant to be doing. Ugh.

I hadnt had anything to eat and was going to have my danio with nuts but decided to skip that since I had the stupid chips. *facepalm* So I made my quorn salad and Im sitting here munching it. Ive gotten through 2/3 and Im stuffed!! I forgot how filling protein is. lol

Dinner will be either the rest of this salad and a couple of boiled eggs or scrambled eggs with peppers and mushrooms.

Then a danio later tonight.

Gonna have to have a nap shortly with the girls, though. Im exhausted. The past 2 weeks Zoe has been waking up early (before 7 and sometimes before 6) and Im just shattered. Its all caught up with me. Bleh.

How is everyone doing today? x

You sound as though you've had a nightmare with your health visitors, I was really lucky and had the same one with all 3 kids and she would listen to what I said and didn't treat me like an idiot. In fact by the time I had my daughter (3rd child) she actually said I knew better than her what was best my daughter and just did the weight/growth checks. She also spotted the early signs of learn difficulties both my 2nd & 3rd children had and really helped me getting what was best for them. I hope your visit went well.
I wouldn't worry about 5 chips they won't do that much harm it's not like you ate a full plate full x x

Yeah, I had hoped that was more the kind of experience I was going to have with my girls but sadly, was not the case, at all. I was treated with slight disdain because i bottle fed by choice and got no help, at all, in that respect. They couldnt and wouldnt offer any advice...not even when my first daughter's milk seemed to not agree with her very well. I asked the HV about it and she said to put her on the hungry baby kind. I asked whether i should maybe change brands and she said she couldnt comment either way. I wasnt asking WHAT BRAND IS BEST...I was asking COULD IT BE THAT THIS BRAND IF MAKING HER SICK? but I got no joy...so I did as she said...switched Tabby to hungry baby and BOY did that make her even worse. It was, in fact, the brand. *sigh* anyway. The visit was fine. Zoe was toddling around and the HV asked such relevant questions as "Is she walking ok?" and "Can she roll over ok?" Erm... yes?! lol. It was just a waste of time. She was nice...but really...it was pointless. :/ Anyway, its over with until she's around 2ish. And she got a few little books for free, which is pretty cool. :D

Im not terribly worried about the chips. Just more disappointed at how mindlessly I shoved them in my mouth and how much carbs are such a go-to food for me. Argh. LOL. Thats ok though. It coulda been a lot worse. And thats the whole point of this week. To break that habit! :)

I'm appalled by the attitude of you HVs, not everyone wants to or can breastfeed and they should help and guide mums who don't not treat them like that!! I'm glad it went well today it sounds. Like the sooner you don't to see them the better x x

Im doing fine so far Lou although not had near enough stuff today.

So far:

1 slice of red leicester
quorn salad
1 babybel light
5 chips. (LOL)

Im gonna have 4 or 5 eggies scrambled with mushrooms, onion and peppers for dinner and a danio later. nom nom.

Im not sure about Exante yet. I will let you know, of course :D x

Yes, phew! Glad HV visit is done!!

Ok. Just had 4 eggs with some chopped red bell pepper, red onion, mushroom, 3 cherry tomatoes, and another slice of red leicester. And then I couldnt finish it. I had about 2/3 of the plate. My stomach has definitely shrunk. Its much more like it was a year or so post-surgery *mini-jig*! :D

Im going to have a danio later on which will make my totals 1011 cals and 60g carbs.

Oh and I am going out for dinner with some girl friends on Wednesday and theyve decided on Italian. ooof! The only thing I can usually get that vegetarian is pasta. But! This place has Aubergine parm...so im going to order that and hope there are no bread crumbs or pasta (I can just not eat the pasta) :D
