Had a nice night last night. My hair has been cut and my jumbalaya for tea was lovely! My hair is just right for holiday now, still long but not too long.

It was really nice to see my daughter and her fiance again. He's back off to Germany on Friday and we'll see him again in August. He's hoping to get based back in the UK as soon as possible, he hates it abroad.

Off to badminton tonight, last one before hols!! Hubby isn't going cos he's just caught a cold and has a very sore throat, he's also not going to the gym so I know it must be bad!!! At least he's got this cold now and not the day before we go away. He'll be OK.

What a day yesterday!! The weather was fantastic! Our car showed the temp as 29 degrees. It felt like it too. We had a local festival down here this weekend called Golowan. Saturday was misty for the kids' parades but yesterday for harbour day it was glorious. A world record attempt was on for the most people dressed as pirates. I think it was set at 6,000 but there must have been over 8,000 pirates on our prom yesterday, it was amazing!

2 days of work left for me (including today) and then we are off. I'm hoping the break will recharge my batteries, so far (work concerned) it's been a hard year, even my boss agreed. Can't wait for the relaxation. It's over 30 degrees every day there at the mo, lovely.

Badminton on thursday was my last proper exercise session before holiday. I will be doing lots of walking and swimming whilst away, love doing that.

They did break the world record yesterday, I think there were over 8,400 people dressed as pirates. They all looked so good. The babies were especially cute!

Last day of work today and then off on hols tomorrow!! Can't wait!! Have lots to do tonight, bit of housework, painting toenails etc. Very excited now though.

Just had an email from the girl that runs our apartments, we've got our room numbers and everything. We have rooms overlooking the pool too, fantastic!!

Might be able to pop back on here a bit later but if not, see you all in a couple of weeks!!

Forgot to weigh today so will do it tomorrow to see what damage I do whilst away.

Well, back to reality with a bump!

Had a fantastic holiday, very relaxing and very, very hot. It was 39 degrees at 8.45am in the shade! I have a nice tan and have totally relaxed and had no stresses. Very good holiday overall!!

Got back to the airport and the car indicators decided to work on morse code! The right one wouldn't work at all and the left one worked when you pushed it down and left it in the middle, crazy. Have to get a new part now. Luckily we were driving home at 4.30am so not many cars on the road, they would have thought I was mad else!!

I weighed and have put on 7lbs. Only to be expected and I thought it would have been more. I have my meal replacement bars for lunch and am really going to try and drop some of the excess as soon as I can. Off to the gym tonight and I am walking there too so plenty of exercise for me later. I have no badminton now until september so will be doing an extra gym session each week instead.

My daughter is now looking to get married next May so even more incentive to drop the extra weight. Very exciting (again!!).

Hope everyone's OK and am just off to catch up on some threads.

Sounds like you had a really lovely holiday. 7 lbs can be knocked off in a couple of weeks. Great excitement for you with an earlier date for the wedding. This gives you the incentive to stay on track.
