Didn't end up going to the gym yesterday afterall. I was asked to do as much overtime as I can as we are so busy (first day back as well!!). I walked up the gym to meet hubby and got absolutely soaked, it was really chucking it down down here. Going to be doing extra work now before and after normal time. Taking it as time off instead of pay cos I only have 8 days to take now before xmas. Not much so extra time off will be good.

Welcome back Bev, glad you had a lovely relaxing time. 7lb is the sort of normal gain after a holiday, you will soon lose that with a good couple of weeks.

Still haven't been to the gym yet. I'm doing overtime at work before and after but I am still walking in after work which is about 45 minutes of walking, so I'm happy I'm still doing that at least!

No more badminton now til September so I will miss that over the coming weeks. I've got to try and get to the gym 3 times a week, I know I never will. I just don't enjoy it enough to do it that often. I will try to once this extra working has finished.

Food wise I've been OK since returning from holiday. Still having a replacement bar for dinner at work, it's so easy!

Glad to see your doing ok food wise.
It is important to find an exercise you love and seems like you like walking to thats great, better than nothing. I too hate the gym, can't bloomin stand the place so with you on that one lol x

Had a lovely walk in yesterday after work. Weather was good (makes a change) and it's supposed to be for the weekend down here too. We'll have our usual influx of visitors this weekend cos the schools break up and then have them for the rest of the summer. The roads are chaos down here over the summer.

Having fish and chips for tea for a treat. Haven't had them for ages!! Might try and get some more walking done over the weekend, got to get some exercise in. Working overtime tomorrow morning and then rest of the weekend free, lovely!

Lucky you with the weather Bev, its peeing down in Wales at this moment in time (it's not unusual as Tom would say lol).

Working a bit of overtime this morning and then the rest of the weekend off. It's supposed to be really nice down here over the weekend, fingers crossed!

I'm having a prawn salad for tea tonight and hubby's making lasagne for tomorrow night. Lovely!! So glad he wanted to learn to cook, he can cook all sorts now and really enjoys it too.

Seeing my mum tomorrow as it's her birthday, 64 years young. Picking up some flowers first to go with her pressies. She loves her flowers.

Absolutely gorgeous down here today, should be out enjoying it really. Will enjoy it later when I walk in, after my overtime is done. Still really busy here and doing overtime, I have earned over 2 days off in lieu so far already! Great!

Not much else to report, except my 19 year old daughter is off to the docs this afternoon cos she thinks she's got chickenpox! Great!!
