Bev - Round 2

We get that drummed down our necks now eh Bev.........should be thankful to have a job. We haven't had a rise in the last 3 years. If we dont get a rise this April, it will be 4 years stuck on the same salary.

Glad you are resting the knee, a good idea to give it till after Xmas.

The little pub and Chinese sounded really nice. I think thats what I miss sometimes now since we have had Maisey, we dont tend to go out and do things like that any more (not that I mind) but just reading your thread made me think that that is the the sort of things that Phill and I used to do.........lol.

Ahhh the pub sounded lovely :) I love little places like that that are all done up christmasy. Did it have a log fire?
Me and stevie have our monthly meal planned for a place called The China House (doesnt serve chinese food) but its more pub grub and its quite quaint and cosy! Looking forward to that one :)

Been very lucky with my job Mary, even had a pay rise a couple of months ago! So I'm not complaining!!

Your christmas meal out sounds lovely Tanya, our next takeaway meal will be on christmas eve, a bit of a tradition I'm afraid!

Walked in after work last night and my knee wasn't too bad at all. No real pain or twinges, just feels a bit stiff. I am going to leave badminton this week for sure, may show up next week for a few games as it's the last club before christmas. I will take it very easy if I do go though.

Glad to hear your knee is a bit better Bev. Make sure you don't over do it! And the pub sounds lovely. Love places like that!x

It sounds like you are in a very happy space just now, Bev. It's nice when we can feel content in life.

Walk in last night was fine, my knee felt pretty good. Still not going club tonight though, may leave it til next week and see what I think then.

I think you're wise to leave it for a while Bev.

Your coffee & takeaway sounded lovely.

Lucky you nearly finished your wrapping - I haven't started it and There's sooooo much to do  I think it's the worst part - only because it's such a big job xx

Making my lunch in the kitchen this morning and my knee sort of "went". It was so painful for a few seconds but funnily enough, since that it feels really good!?!? What is going on with it?? It feels so much better now, almost back to normal. I will see how I go walking in after work tonight.

Not got a lot planned for weekend, hubby is working tomorrow but at least I get a lay in, lovely!!

Putting decorations up on sunday, looking forward to that. I'm surprised by how many people put them up last weekend, quite early I thought. Everybody has their own traditions though don't they.

Glad your knee seems to be improving Bev - though sounds a bit odd the way it 'went' first!

I always put the decs up as soon after the 1st Dec as I can. I like to get at least a few weeks out of them - they're a lot of work so might as well get as long out of them as is reasonably possible :D x

Glad the knee is a bit better Bev. Weird though that it 'went' and now feels ok.

Yup we too put them up first weekend :)

I still havent got the tree up, I will probably do it on Tuesday.
Strange thing to happen to the knee, but it sounds as though something has clicked into place - good.

Put decs up yesterday and it looks lovely. I love it when they go up, really means christmas is on the way!!

My knee has been OK all weekend. We had a quiet weekend and didn't do a lot, which was nice.

Had homemade lasagne for tea last night and it was lovely. Even though hubby suggested it and said he would make it, I ended up doing it afterall. He had a to fix a hinge on our door and did some housework instead.

Going into town tonight after work to get my dad some slippers and then I will wrap them tonight and I am all done for christmas! Can't believe I finished the wrapping yesterday, I've wrote my cards too. Glad it's all done now.

Bev, even though the knee feels ok, it might still be worth having it checked by your GP. Knees are nasty if they start giving you trouble.
It is great to have all your Christmas prep done. I love being ready by now. I'll start delivering pressies from later this week.
Enjoy the week ahead.

Hope your knee is much better bev.

I've still got lots of wrapping to do but as long as its done before Christmas eve I'm better off than I was last year!x

yay to almost having xmas presents complete! Now time to chill & enjoy the season :) x

You're so organised!!!

I've still got loads to wrap, a few bits to buy and quite a bit of food to get ... but it'll get done :)

Watch that knee hon - don't do too much too soon xx

Didn't get into town last night cos the weather was so bad!! Hubby picked me up and dropped me home instead. It was so windy and raining hard, there are a lot of branches down in the roads today and there was some flooding here too. My daughter was going to come up and see us but decided against it because of the flooding and how rough it was. Meant to be worse here today, not sure how! I will get dad's slippers on saturday now. Hubby wanted me to have the car today because he's worried about me out and about in this bad weather. I have the car and will pop to tesco after work before picking him up. I'm going to pick up a few extra bits for xmas while I'm there and get them out of the way.

Decided to leave badminton again this week. I know it's the last club before xmas but I really don't want to hurt my knee again. I'm a bit nervous about it to be honest. I will return to club after the new year. That will be fine.
