Still at home today but defo back to work on Monday. Feeling a lot better now but still not completely up to scratch.

That dam pound has been kicked out and the door well and truely shut behind him - so watch out - if you live in the south west and feel like eating too much, a homeless pound is lurking in a cardboard box somewhere - who knows? He may be in a box of chocolates or a box of mince pies in YOUR cupboard. One thing is certain - he is looking for a home this Christmas and I don't want him back.

waaargh. my boiler has died a horrible death it would seem. i thought the gas had been cut off or something because it wasn't working (and at this point i'm standing starkers with the shower running. but i checked that and we still have gas. i mean, we're all paid up and everything but these things happen. so it looks like it's the boiler. so now i'm freezing my arse of and i'm manky because i can't have a bath and i have no money to pay a call out charge and i don't know what to dooooooooooooooooo. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

Yikes!!!!! The thought of Abz standing starkers and manky in the shower with a laptop in one hand and a sponge in the other has caused great difficulty breathing as I've just choked on my porridge!!!

well it's sorted now. i rang my uncle and he said there would be some kind of relighting procedure because it sounded like something had interrupted the gas supply or something. anyhoo. i read the technical manual and twiddled some dials and then rang him back to tell him i loved him. so he now deserves a rather lovely christmas pressie

now i want that bath!!

abz if I had been here I would have told you to fiddle around with it because it happens to our boiler a lot and you have to kind of trip it into action again. but that's because I'M nice and never laugh at other people's misfortunes, even if they are starkers while typing heehee. glad you've sorted it out love, i can imagine it must've been bloody annoying. yay for your uncle.

Taz, well done on the weight losses...Sorry i missed it, but were you involved altercation on the trains? I hope you are ok.

Abz, man the boiler going out is like the worse thing, I really do empathise with you. When we first moved down here it was a harsh first winter and we were renting a house. There was a problem with the oil heating system, a pump I think. And it was an old barn converstion, and OPEN PLAN...so no major walls to keep heat in. There was an open fire but it only heated with in 6 inches of the fire. And we spent two weeks freezing ...it was awful. And the landlord had the nerve to charge us full rent too. Jerk!

Gem, How are you my dear? Not spoken to you in a while, was the visit from your family last weekend or this weekend? I did what you said about my mate and just sent her a christmas card with very little in it and poof...I got a text...*LOL* so we shall see what happens. She is meant to call this weekend, but I am not sure it will happen. We shall see I guess.

hi guys. i wasn't naked when i was typing. i'd put clothes on by then!! i would have frozen solid!! ha.

well i've overcompensated. the entire house is absolutely fecking boilling now!!

i'm ready to go to my old work's christmas dinner. i've straightened my hair which seems to be insanely long. i haven't straightened it for ages as i didn't think i had enough for it to be worth it but there's loads of the bloody stuff!! and it looks rather nice. i think i look nice but my skewed perception of myself is making me think that maybe i don't. and i'm showing an alarming amount of cleavage which wasn't really in the plan but can't be helped in this dress. so fake confidence here i come!! ha.
