Just broke the bad news to Mr Taz and he wasn't too happy! We'll go out for dinner or something here instead. Back to the drawing board now, we've already got one court summons for non payment so I will have to spent the rest of the day on the phone to avoid anymore. I'd stupidly cancelled some of the smaller monthly payments with a view to pay them all off when I got the money and now they are all getting antsy! Woops!
Hey taz, if you need some advice let me know, i have been looking into a lot of the payment stuff recently for my MIL and also my best mate is a barister and works for the CAB and gives me loads of info. I recently got my MIL out of a £3200 debt to the catalouges because they didnt have a signed contract they could produce and that means legally they cannot pursue her for the money as there is no contract to pay in her name with a signature. Did you also know you could write to your debets cards etc and ask for the interest to be frozen for 6 months as well a making a token payment until your circumstances change. It is better to write and ask then to not make a payment as the whole court thing comes into it. I have tons of info as well as standard letters you can use and view to help you.
BTW I noticed you call talking about the cars I know how you all feel my tax was up on my van as well as the MOT and insurance and I needed new brake pads and a service which cost me just under a grand for it all. What a pain. We are still going through a few bits at the moment but looks like it may all be ok. We did try to get a remortage on the house and take a bit out to pay off the credit cards, but they said no. which is a pain in the butt we have a fairly large income, but cause it is not through an employer as such they wont do it. We are lucky to have loads of equity in the house still even after the drops, but to no avail. I was a bit pissed off at first but I am actually glad. I mean I am still paying out the butt for the cards but I can afford the minimum payments plus an addition 30% which should help bring them down. Plus i managed to go through the budget and cut out all the crap we really dont need that are luxuries. I even cut my contact leneses as I am quite bad with them and am meant to change them once a month but it is more like 2 months per change sometimes 3 as I take them out and clean them. ( which most people dont do) and I have a further 10 pair in my china cabinet so I really dont need to spend the £22 a month for contacts for atleast a year or so. Plus I cut out all the real crap and we now plan out meals for the week and I only order the groceries online so that I dont buy things I dont really need, and stick to my list. And all of this has saved us about 1100 a month which is in the savings, just in case something happens and we get no more money and my OH old company goes bust we will be able to carry on with the mortgage for the 3 months we would need to until benifits kicks in. BUt I am certain it won't come to that. my OH old company is doing much better now and hopefully will not go into involvency, and his currently business is doing well, so we should be just fine.
The baby is doing well and kicking strong, I am not 7 month or 29 weeks, and we have been spending time getting the house ready for the new arrival. I have been lifting more than I should but I cant epxtect my OH to run up the stairs every 5 minutes when I need something moved. But we have moved the spare room down stairs now so my old gym is now a spare room. And the babys room is full of boxes. *LOL* but I should have it all sorted soon. My bedroom has finally been sorted and is moveable, LU room is great as now he has room to play and a nice furry bean bag to read his books on, and no more rocking chair ( which has been moved to the baby's room). SO we are all well. Went to london last week for a 4d scan of christopher and we got some ok pics, he kept putting his arms and lets up over his head so we struggled to get good pics, but did manage a few. Bad thing was is LU got car sick about 100 metres from the car park and was sick all over himself, so luckily we arrived early and there was a matalan near by on the industrial estate so I had to get him some clean clothes. The didn't smell great but luckily we were able to air it out before having to spend 3 more hours in it to get back home. Also we were lucky we had LU old car seat in the car as his other one was not useable after his sickness. Thank god for nappy sacks!!!! is all I can say.
Anyway just wanted to check in a say boo!!
Hope you are all doing well and losing the weight you want. I can't wait to get stuck in once I dont have to worry about the baby anymore.
