Good morning everyone

How strange waking up to a house with no moggies. This house has NEVER been without a moggy or four for 36 years

Poppy gave us much unconditional love through some very difficult times and was an amazing little cat (see piccies on Gem's Incredible Journey). She will be remebered with love.

Just yesterday afternoon I was approached by a work colleague asking if I had any vacancies for a stray cat. There has been a spate of poisoning going on so all the stray cats have been rounded up and there is a great need for people to take these animals.

I explained about Poppy and that I could not even think about it at the moment but in a few weeks I may look again at the situation and see what I can do.

What I can do immediately though is give the food I have left over to the woman who is rescuing those cats

Although you can never replace the cats you have lost, you have been randomly given the opportunity to help cats in need. You obviously have a lot of love to give to cats and you have a home that needs moggy-presense. I call it fate Gem. I have heard about these poisonings and it is awful business
