'BIG' .......Bring on the summer :D

Hi Guys... been a while since I stopped by, hit my 8lbs target for March, am hoping to do the same again for April... as much as I would love to lose more than that I figure that is a good sustainable amount for me each month!

Have a fab Easter everyone.. I'm looking forward to my Green & Blacks 85% dark choc. xx

Happy Easter folks :D
I'm currently sat here with my boyfriend's easter eggs staring at me... one 1/2 opened, and I am not even tempted!! I can't believe i've not even had a tiny wee chunk of chocolate. Go meeee!!
Pub Quiz tonight, I'm gonna take the car so no alcohol.... pints of water, makes me feel refreshed thinking about it! Got my weigh In tomorrow morning .. =]

Happy Easter all!

I have just about coped with how I planned things. Curry on Friday nite and ate almost exactly half of what I would normally eat (still felt stuffed so what must I usually feel like??!!). Then yesterday was pretty good apart from a bit too much cheese with my salad. Helped by the fact that I got (another) cold yesterday and felt pretty terrible. Today I have slept all day because I felt so ill - just emerged and had some choccy with milky coffee as comfort food.

Never thought feeling ill would help me cope - how sad is that? Scales say I put on a pound which I'm hoping I'll ditch by Tue weigh-in. Staying the same would be a great result for the Easter week.

Hope you are all doing ok.

It is great to hear everyone is doing so well over Easter. I've lost another 3lbs this week, so only 2lbs till the 3 stone mark now - hopefully I'll hit that before the weekend. :)

well i wasn't good. I had a big breakfast and a massive dinner, but aginast the plan, i had second helping of dessert at 6 adn then scone bread and then a creme egg.
today I am going to the gym, and i am meeting my aunt for lunch, i'll make good choices but i know I'll not make up for yesterday (when i ate like twice what i normally do)

Nicki9.. wow, congratulations on your loss so far, you've done great!! :D

Had my weigh in this morning, down another 3 lbs, so that's me got my 1/2 a stone in 2 weeks! YAY =]

Wow what willpower - couldn't do it myself.

Brilliant result. I'm sure you'll hit the 3 stone mark easily.

Don't worry too much - just draw a line under it. Whatever you do, don't think "hung for a sheep as a lamb" and overindulge at lunch. Just get back on your plan and you'll be fine.

Well done - brilliant result considering all the choccy around. Knew you could do it. x

***

Didn't have a great day yesterday. Why o why does chocolate have so many calories? I lived off it yesterday as I was too ill to cook anything and I didn't want to order in. Then a hot brandy and sugar before bed to make sure I slept ok. Probably didn't exceed my maintenance calories (2300) but didn't help to lose the pound I put on (weighed same this morning). Weigh in tomorrow not looking good. Hope you all have a good day. xx

Hi all,
I would love to join, I need to lose about 4 stone, I had lost some weight last year but have been struggling to get back onto a sustainable plan. I am now just trying to eat a bit more healthy and exercise.
It's only day 2 and is going well so far. so fingers crossed I will lose about 7lbs a month.

hello guys and girlies, i lost 4lbs this week, i did no exercise, all i did was watch my portion size while juddering and mixing a bit of slimming world rules in.

Well done Tamzy - nice result.

Congrats on the easter losses! :) Yesterday was tough.. I do have a little easter egg which is egg+ four mini flakes. I wanted an egg (as gave up choc for lent) and was determined to eat it very slowly so not to screw up tues weigh in.. so just had 1 mini flake from it yesterday, very chuffed! The old me would of eaten the whole egg and started on another. Mm glad to be able to eat choc again, so good.

Morning all.

Well today is my weigh-in day and I haven't lost the pound I put on over the weekend - grrrrrr. I know I only had 2 days to do it (Sun and Mon) but I am gutted because I didn't exceed 1500 cals on either day. However due to feeling ill and having some emotional crap over family stuff these cals were made up of 440 cals Slimfast and over 1000 cals chocolate. Yep, I just kept drifting back to the stuff on and off all day. When I took the dog out I just stood around while she went crazy cos my throat is too sore for me to want to get out of breath - then I came home and lay in front of the tv. So all in all a disaster of a week - just the kind of week that makes me want to give up.

Hopefully I can get back into some kind of routine today and restart. How are you guys doing? I hope this thread hasn't gone quiet cos you fell off the wagon over Easter? Please don't abandon it if you did - we need each other's support to keep going when it gets tough. We all know we've been here before so let's try together to make this time different.

Have a great day y'all. xx

Judith- your sick- give yourself a break! Take it easy for a couple of days, mind yourself and try and build your strength back up. Yeah, I agree the chocolate probably didnt help, you've eaten it, accept it and move on.
How do you eat an elephant? Bit by bit.

I too had my weigh in today- I lost 3lbs, which i was delighted with. I have failed to reach my target by today which was to be at 13 (I'm at 13 1) but i enjoyed the chocolate on sunday and monday, and I refuse to let it get me down. More importantly for me, I ran teh best I've ever run on Friday and Sunday. So i'll accept my failure and aim to make up for it over the next month.

I have trouble ahead though. I am goign on residential with 20 young people. I am surrounded by food. I am also surrounded by ppl (I like ppl but 4 days straight sharing everything drives me insane). I have always overate on residentials by a massive amount. How do I set myself up to keep to healthy eating? I am so greedy at these things- I get so tired I eat sugarry stuff and that just starts a vicious cycle! HELP!

Kellie, thanx for the support. Well done on your loss - brilliant over the Easter weekend as well. (Btw what diet are you doing?)

Years ago I used to go on residentials with young people and I found that the constant supervision, lack of sleep and activities meant overeating wasn't really an issue. Plus the food tended to be starchy and simple (altho I do remember eating rather a lot of sausages one breakfast :( ). Can you take something like Slimfast shakes with you so you don't get sugar lows if meals are delayed or the choices are very fatty? Don't undereat either as you will need lots of energy for the continual challenges, constant company of other people and running around. Really impressed by the running - brilliant.

Healthy eating with alli.
Because I'm doing all the running, I need to make sure I'm eating all the good stuff- veg, protein, good carbs, fruit and some dairy. I'm making sure not to skimp cos i don't want to be injury prone.

I take alli with dinner and lunch, think it does help some.

I am now overeating tho! sitting watchin sex and the city dvds and eatng pasta and cous cous!!

That may be an idea for residential- if i only allowed myself say the shakes, then i would be probably be more committed than saying oh i'll just have this adn not eat later and make excuses as i go along- thanks!

I'd like to join in please. I started on 1st March, so about the same time as this thread. I've lost 1 stone 4 pounds to date, but I think reaching a total of 4 stone by September will be a huge challenge for me. I am normally a very slow loser.

I've been very good over Easter, no chocolate at all!

Just got in from work though, so I haven't done any Wii Fit today, which isn't so good!

I'm 'officially' weighing in on a Monday, though I actually get weighed every day. I lost 3 pounds this week.

I'm very impressed with the running too Kellie, well done!

Woot just weighed in tonight, 4lb lost for the week so got my 1 and a half stone sticker and slimmer of the week :D Reallyhappy to be back on track again.
