hugs and bren and thinking of you xxxx

Hope all goes well tonight Bren, we'll catch up tomorrow. x

Ooooh, and I forgot about the numbers - don't want to pester poor V though, I'm sure you're nervous enough without that!

(Goes off to pester V) ;)

Dad update - he is very very very tired, every movement makes him breathless, he has lost a lot of weight and just can't be bothered - not eating very much (did manage to get the ice cream down - typical eh) and everything is too much effort. Having said that I personally don't think he has quite given up yet, they have put some dye round him and done another scan today to see what is causing the pain in his lower back, in the back of our minds is secondaries but nobody has said it to him. Should have results in a few days they have said. Just wish it wasn't a 70 mile round trip - will go again at the weekend. Thanks for thinking of me you guys xxxx

Oh lordy Bren! I had assumed he was local. Gosh that makes it harder but then thinking about it my mum is a 50 mile + round trip and at 79 this year (although incredibly fit) I know I have this to come

very hard to see a parent getting so frail, we alsways just assume they will be there forever, looking the same they did when we were ten.

thinking of you bren, it's a hard time xx

Morning bren
Must have been a tiring run but so pleased you managed to organise
((hugs))
Xx

Morning Bren, sorry to hear about your dad love, it comes to us all in the end. I'm lucky my Mum is still fit and well at 84 and lives a couple of miles away

Morning Bren

Sounds like your Dad has some fight left in him, even though he may not show it. Sorry to hear about all that driving, hun, doesn't help - but you will be glad that you're taking every opportunity to see him ((((((Bren)))))))) xxx

Morning Bren. In sorry it's so hard for you and your dad right now.

LOL Bren.... should think insane (ish)

Aw Bren, sad to hear that about your dad lovey. Hope you get a better visit at the weekend. x

My mum is almost 80 and very frail now, she had a load of health problems last year but has rallied round a bit recently. It really is sad to see, isn't it? Parents seem totally invulnerable when you're younger. I know my kids think of me like that, and I want to stay healthy forever so they never have illness to cope with. :(

You are all so bloody lovely you make me want to cry and I am trying so very hard not to - so stop it and tell me funny things please :)

Erm, my children wanted to watch a scary film last night so we did and then they were too scared to go to bed. Made me laugh anyway although they didnt find it quite so funny for some reason.
