Just had a call off my sister, he has moved wards and is looking much brighter today, has even had a shave and a wash and let her change his t-shirt. They have also said that they think the pain in his back is his arthritis rather than secondaries which is also good news, think that has helped his state of mind too. I am going over to see him on Saturday night and that will give the rest of them a night off in front of the telly or at the pub. I really hope that he continues to improve, I want him to change his mind and have his birthday party if he is up to it.

My friend came to stay last night and we were wetting ourselves at Alan Carr till 1am (that's late round these parts). Haven't laughed so much for ages - although copious quantities of wine may have had something to do with it.
