He is, I know he is nearly 80 but he still looks upon other people as being old lol - they have been driving him crazy in the beds around him this week. :)

Lol my nana is exactly the same! 84 and she sits there complaining about being stuck looking at all the old people, and gossiping about them loudly.

Oh yes, and you sit there squirming hoping that they are deaf and can't hear what is being said about them lol

When DS1 was in for a few days last year he ended up having a go at the old bloke next to him for abusing the nurses and telling him that they were trying to help him! Mind you DS1 also found him naked on the loo floor in the middle of the night and I had to sit there one evening watching the old boy getting out of his gown. Must have been a nudist lol. It was all men luckily.

The one next to Dad was trying to climb into bed with him the other night - Dad pursuaded him to go back to his own bed, next thing he was on the floor scrabbling about so Dad had to buzz for a nurse so he didn't hurt himself!

My Mum tried to push me into nursing but I refused as couldn't handle night work and I'm so glad I stood my ground. Good caring Nurses should be paid double and I'm sure I couldn't handle it.

No I couldn't do it either, fall over at the sight of blood - can't watch a lot of hospital progs either - yukky :(

I do give blood but have to look in the opposite direction - one nice chappy one day decided to give me shock therapy and put the bag of newly drawn (warm) stuff into my hand - he nearly ended up wearing it!

I'm actually pretty good and can always cope in a crisis but then when you've got one like DS1 it's a case of having to be. We were having a laugh at his rather large hospital file after his accident last year!

No I could never ever be a nurse, but after illness myself and what I've seen with both my grandparents I think it takes a miracle of a person to be one. My nurses always liked me because they said I was the only one who always said please and thank you to them! Couldn't believe that.

I'm going to email my boss now whilst I think of it. She already thinks I'm nuts for working at stupid o'clock but it's swings and roundabouts cos I'm on here during working hours lol x

Ok - let us know what she thinks. Am off to make my lunch for tomorrow and then off to bed, will try and pop in before I start work tomorrow morning - night all, sleep well xxx

That is brilliant news Lisa :D

Weigh in this morning, not so brilliant, am still 1lb up on posted weight and not happy, not sure what else I can do, have cut down on cream and cheese this week, not had anywhere near as much as usual, no alcohol since last Friday, bugger, am getting annoyed now.
