Bring it on.....

Ta muchly. Nothing that a big you-know-what won't sort ;)

xx

On the plus side, when you're sorted you'll be a good few pounds lighter!;)

well done cookie. Have you noticed, I am sure you do, that you really appeciate the soaps from lush and the other treats now you cant have food. I used to treat myself with chocolate or a chinese but I dont now. I have spare money because I dont eat so I actually go out and look for things that I can have to give me that replacement buzz that I dont get anymore by not eating. I dont mean spending loads of money, its just the little things ... a new lipstick or some dove body wash or something, I love it.

Hey Cookie

How's it going?

xx

Hello all,
long time no speak!!
Life has been mad......again....always seems to be somehow!

Anyway have had to be away for a while.
Dietwise I have been trying to do the best I can for the past couple of weeks but there have been there ups and downs - I am guessing that I've probably not lost anything but kept pretty much on an even keel - I don't know as I don't have access to scales At the mo...probably a good thing!!

Although I haven't managed to loose the remainder of the weight that I had hoped to shift on exante before switching to low carb, I think the time has come to make the move.....I have just got to a point where I am banging my head against a brick wall to just stay the same weight. Exante has been amazing at kick starting the weightloss but I am going to make the shift for the next few weeks at least and then see how it goes. I may have another blast of exante in about a months time.

I still plan on posting on this thread in the meantime as although I won't be stricktly doing exante, it is still part of my exante journey and my next step towards maintanance.

I hope everyone is doing ok and look forward to catching up on threads in the next few days

Well done on hopefully maintaining Cookie. I'm feeling pretty similar at the moment but trying to stick with Exant for the time being anyway. Ill be moving over to Atkins sooner or later though.

Thanks luv!

I am finding low carb much easier to stick to at the mo I just got to a point with exante where I really felt that I needed a change - 5 months was enough. Serious respect to you for having stuck to it for so long!

*********warning - f%#d talk*********
Ok, so I am feeling pretty good today - low carb deffo agrees with me.

Today's food consumption:

brekkie - coffee and cream + flaxseed microwaved choc muffin in a min (yummy and very easy to make)
snack - atkins bar and coffee + tbsp peanut butter
lunch- 1/4 of a grilled chicken + coke zero
snack - atkins bar + 1/2 vanilla exante pack
dinner - 2 small bassa fillets + sugar free jelly and whipped cream for sweet.

Sorry about all the food talk - helps to keep me on the straight and narrow if I have to fess up all I've had and also may be useful to anyone considering the switch to low carb for maintanence or continuing weightloss to see the sorts of food that can be eaten...,

funny everyone seems to talk about atkins... i dont understand how you can lose weight by coming off low calorie and going on high calorie/fat diet. It seems scary!

Going to give you a row here Cookie. There's not enough veg there - most of your days carbs should be coming from veg. Also be careful with the Atkins bars. They cause a lot of people to stall because everyone reacts differently to sugar alcohols.

thanks Joanne- I do have quite a bit of veg most days - stir frys, cauliflower mash and salads. its just that when I am not at home its much harder for me to put those sorts of things together. You will be proud of me today....

Brekkie was an omlette
Snack - Atkins bar
Lunch a huge green salad with chilli stir fried prawns and a little humous
snack-handfull of peanuts and cashews
Dinner (in prep) will be roast lamb with cauliflower mash and mixed veg.

Icehot - I realise that my weekly losses on low carb might not be quite as dramatic as in the first few weeks on exante but because with low carb/ any ketogenic diet your body switches from burning glucose to burning fat as its main fuel supply the extra calories that you consume are used up along with some of your body fat (hopefully) :).
Also if you are following a diet like Atkins the levels of carbs you initially consume during the induction (initial weightloss phase) are much lower than those I used to consume when doing exante.

hi hun im back after having abit of a baby scare and staying the same weight on ww im restarting exante tomorrow. hope your low carbing is going well.

Hey spyro - glad to see your still around.
Well done for maintaining on ww and good luck for the exante switch - you CAN do it lass!

I've also been away for a few weeks - life threw yet another set of curved balls!!!

I'm away from home home for a few weeks but managing to keep to the low carb more easily - it just seems to suit me somehow.

All the best luv
xxxx

thanks hun glad your ok take care and be strong.

Bring it on........Back for one LAST push!!!!

Hey all I hope eveyone is doing ok.
I am really sorry for being so utterly lame at keeping up on here!

Life has been pretty miserable over the past few months and I have been up and down the country away from home a lot with only sporadic Internet connection.......excuses excuses!!!

Anyway, I was really enjoying going down the low carb route untill life got really hectic and then a close familiy member died and I completely fell of the rails in a desperate bid to comfort eat....surprise surprise two weeks of gorging on chocolate and cookies and baisically anything I can lay my hands on and I don't feel any better!!!

I have decided that enough is is enough and I have to regain some control. Right now I think the best way for me to do that is by having a short sharp exante blast.

I am back home now and am gonna try my best to keep on the straight and narrow and will try and hold myself accountable on here.
Wish me luck........
