ButtErFlies-In It To Win It

Hi Nikki, Sorry shopping didn't go that great. TBH I do think it's a bit early for us all to notice huge difference. But it will not be long. I just read a post from a girl who has reached her goal in 13 weeks- over 3 stone. 13 weeks is nothing! How long is it till Barbados?

Wannabe and Broxi.. I'm hoping to get to my target by September, but with my hols, probably will be more like October, so thats my target now.

Ohhh, forgot to say, major bombshell dropped last night.. My daughter announced that she is pregnant! Lovely news you'd think, but the fact that she's living with a guy who can't be bothered to work, hangs about with the wrong ppl and my daughter ended up doing the same thing.. she is 20 now and has dropped out of her chance of going to Uni to be with this guy and now, with no money, they are going to parents.. Its alot to get my head around and know that I'll support her to become a good mum, will love her no matter what and the baby.. But I'll be a nan at 40! Not sure whether to laugh or cry! When things happen to me, they come at all angles, lol. x

Hi Nikki! Glad your sister noticed your weight loss - its such a good feeling isnt it? Makes it all worthwhile I think! I know what you mean about trying clothes on. I went to the Trafford Centre (Manchester) the other day and did exactly the same thing. I came out of Next with 2 pairs of shoes and some necklaces but not one item of clothing. Having said that, I do think that Next's sizes are at least a size smaller than most shops and they don't ever cater for the fuller figure - even in the bigger sizes. They just don't hang right somehow. Don't be despondent - you've hit some fantastic milestones in the time you've been doing CD (lowest weight for a year - WOW!) and before you know it, you'll be fitting in the size 10's and having the whole pick of the shop!!! xxx

Wow Nikki, some news. My bet, however, is that the baby will be the making of them. I've seen it time and time again- very irresponsible young ones, ahve a baby and they grow up instantly. You are gonna be a sexy young granny woohoo!

You will easily have lost a stone and a half by then. Are you going hols Iamlovely?

Wow - thats some bombshell you've had dropped on you Nikki! My daughter is 17 and I worry myself to death that she'll get pregnant. She's been seeing a lad for a year and has dropped out of her A levels. She's working in a care home and is loving it but he's a bit of a waste of space. You must have such mixed feelings about this pregnancy. Happy and worried at the same time. Thats a lot to take in isnt it? Maybe it'll take this to get them to get themselves sorted out. Babies make you grow up fast don't they?

Wannabe.. now having the pick of the shop, that would be HEAVEN! Pure bliss.. They are nearer now, those times, and I won't get despondent.. I've lost and its gone for good and hope this weeks will add to that too. Hey, I've been to the Trafford Centre when I went to visit a friend in Manchester. Lovely place to shop :D. xxx

I'm going to go to bed now Nikki and Iamlovely, it's been great talking to you. You'll not sleep Nikki with your news! You've got some amount happening in your life just now! Anyway, good night both and God bless and see you both tomorrow for another fab CD day without cravings! xxx

Yes wannabe.. I was 19 when I had Kayleigh and by the age of 24, i had 3 children under 5! It did make me grow up fast, but I was with someone, albeit a pig, but still not on my own for the first 5 yrs. I have very mixed feelings, and hope that the guy she is with will get off his backside now and get a job. Am visiting them on Weds eve, before I go away and will have that chat that dads do to their to be son in laws.. as she doesnt have her dad around.. So will make it clear that although im not happy, i'll help them as much as I can (but not giving them money) but want to see him with a job in the next few weeks, lol. xx

I've got quite a lot of loose skin around my tummy Broxi but its worse now than when I was at my lightest with SW cos its sort of sem-filled with fat. Its like a sort of horrible apron - I may have to consider having a tummy tuck when all this is over. The rest of me isnt too bad considering how big I've been. I'm 5'3 so 19 stone was hefty. My problems also started when I had my kids. I have a daughter who's 17 and a son who's 14. My mother started coming into my life a lot more when I had them and I just ate and ate and ate cos she made me so miserable and stressed. Also, I gave up work and I was really lonely and stranded without a car. My confidence just went out of the window and its taken me years to regain it.

We've not got a holiday booked this year cos my husbands job is looking a bit wobbly so we're just trying to save as much as possible and whack it in the bank just in case. Wish I was going away though!!!

I've got an endowment maturing in 5 years that I've been paying into to do just that.. Tummy tuck and a bra lift. Not sure I'll do it all, and will do as much exercise as I can to help too, but its there If I need it then so I can decide.

I can remember being pregnant with Rhys and my heaviest whilst carrying him was 15.9 stone.. I started CD just a lb off that.. I keep thinking what happened? I had no excuses, it was just sadness of being a single mum and stressed I suppose. But we are on the up now thats for sure.. I'm glad I started this now, tho don't think that when I have cravings, grrrrr!

Night and god bless Broxi! Thanks so much for the chat! Its really helped me. You're ace!!!!
Thats a good way to go at it Nikki - lots of support and advice if they need it but not putting yourself forward as their own personal bank! It would make life too easy wouldnt it and then they may not do the things they need to do to provide for the baby and themselves. Kids are such a worry arent they - no matter how old they are! I really hope they get themselves sorted. Good luck with the 'dad' chat - bet you make a fab job of it!! I'm off to bed now cos I'm knackered and hungry. Speak to you soon. xxxxxx

Congratulations Nikki... I'm sure they'll be fine. Pending parenthood might be the making of the fella, and your daughter.

Sorry shopping didn't turn out the way you hoped, give it a few weeks and you'll see a massive difference. Maybe go with a specific list of things to get and stay focused. Don't go trying to get stuff for other people. Go shopping wearing something you feel good in. That way you are more likely to come home with clothes that you really like.

We'll all be a lot closer to our goal weight by the end of the summer - how good is that????

Your endowment is a nice thing to have as insurance if the exercise and the creams don't work. You're going to be a right yummy grandma aren't you! We can do this and get to where we want to be whatever the reasons we landed up here - this is a lifeline for us all and we can do it!!!!! Speak soon - night night! xxx

i'm no good at making lists for shopping, I always forget them.. But perhaps if I started, it would make a difference as you said.. I will try that tip Shopaholic.. TBH, i'm not really in need of anything anyway, it's just nice to take something new with you isn't it, when you go away? Perhaps i'll get a new tunic for the beach from Accesorise at the airport, they cover you up anyway, but look nice. Yes and by the end of summer we will have shrunk by sooo much more then we have now, that is exciting. xx
