hope you have a lovely me time CD :D

Hope you had some lovely me time. It's great isn't it!! Did you get any where with the water tablets? Did you try them? Are you less bloated now anyway after TOTM. I am feeling better today than I was on Monday/tuesday, feel like I can at least move forward from my STS weigh in - I was annoyed about how much it bugged me ....... I can honestly say, hand on heart, that if I stay this weight for ever it would NOT be the end of the world. I can go into a normal shop and buy off the rail, no one looks at me in disgust as I walk down the street anymore, I can run alongside my son and keep up, I look normal - overweight but normal! It's enough for me........Just need to remember that when I have the v odd dark, dark day!!!! LOL, not long atall till Mr CD home - my fingers are gonna be crossed on the 10/11th for great weather so those blimmin ferries run! xx

I'm glad you're feeling better Trudy, we should stay positive. I had a lovely coffee and tuna salad without the kids, reading a good book, and felt much better for it. Next time I'm in town I'm going to get some water tablets as I'm still bloated, though not as bad as last week. I have seriously reduced my dairy intake this week, wonder whether that will show on the scales. Making stock up from the chicken carcass later and freezing. Very bored with my food at the minute and keeping on the straight and narrow is making me grumpy too. Luckily, I have been following Dukan for long enough to know this will go but at the minute I am dreaming of wine and chocolate.

OH NO - the dreaded chocolate/wine dream CD the other night i wanted a glass of red wine!!! I dont even drink it - took my tin of mackeral to work and thought of you CD it was good.

Haha must be in the air - I am having Pizza dreams!!! Keep strong, ur menus look great and nothing would taste as good as you think it will - even wine/choc!!!! I promise!!! Defo try the water tablets as like I say my friend swears by them and like you she is slim and trim and just finds she retains water every now and again. I am trying to cut out tolerants this week but realise its not easy - have had a think and gonna try to keep away from the cream cheese again and also know there were a few things last week that could have stalled my weight such as shop bought chicken etc. Not that it has before but you never know!

Thanks Chris - we walked home in thick sleet! Kids thought it fun though; we got into our pyjamas when we got in and I made them all hot chocolate. Roll on Spring, I'm fed up of being cold/wet.
Still fed up with food, but being very good so pleased with my control. Today's PV:
B - Mixed spice muffin
L - Onion omelette, vegetable soup
D - Stir-fried chicken with beansprouts
S - Tin of mackerel
Tomorrow's PP:
B - Rhubarb and ginger muffin
S - Tin of tuna
L - Scrambled eggs, tin of mackerel
D - Mince, home-made beef stock, a green chilli
Going to start doing Fri and Sat PP so that I can have Sundays as PV, make some nice roasts and see whether that cheers me up foodwise. Anyway, going to go to bed early as have been non-stop busy all day today - going to listen to Chris Isaak (who I've just discovered) and think of my darling husband.

Won't be long now CD and he will be home - wouldnt mind mine going not for very long though - he's like a herd of elephants in a morning.
Your Glasgow weather sounds awful but so lovely when you get back to a warm house and hot choccie - plenty of rain and hailstone down here over the past two days might be snow over the weekend - NOOOOOO. Hope you have a good day today and weekend too.

Brrr it's cold. Really feeling chilled this winter having lost so much weight! Definitely going to get thermals before next winter. Quite pleased at how much protein I'm having this week plus little tolerated, so I really hope I see a downwards shift on the scales on Sunday. No stock cubes, little sweetener, little cream cheese, no yoghurt, no jelly. Have had cocoa in some of my muffins though, and still haven't managed to get water retention tablets so might not see a loss but seriously don't want to see another gain.

I am keeping everything crossed for you CD!!! Pop into Boots today and get those tablets - like you said another gain would just be blimmin disheartening especially when we look at your menus and they are pretty pristine it has to be said. I am thinking about the tolerated items and realise that I have most of them in my muffins. I am loathed to change to a galette or oatbran porridge as the muffins have been a real staple for me. That said if I do STS this week or gain I will be willing to give them up to see what happens!! I am trying to eat more protein as well. It's a PV day for me today and REALLY want to have some Extra Lite Philly sauce but going to resist and cook some lovely veg with some steak and chicken with a lady mahayla recipe sauce that has soy and ginger and hope that does the trick!!! We can do it CD. Days are whizzing by - Mr CD will be home before you blink again. Flippin freezing here today and really feeling the cold - more layers required to step out again.LOL xxx

i had the soy chilli & ginger sauce at the start of the week and it was lovely... i only used 1 spoonful of soy raher than the 6 in the recipe lol

Loved my dinner it was fantastic - the steak was soooooo tender and the soy/ginger marinade was lovely - felt like I really spoiled myself! Hope you got the water tablets CD and that if you did they work for Sunday's weigh in!!! I think I am gonna get an early night as very tired and up early over the weekend - not easy with the dark mornings. Hope the weather is not too perishing in bonnie Scotland - any snow???

No snow here, Ellie probably has some though!! Cold. Your dinner sounds yummy Trudy, I found a few months ago that I can't have any soy sauce as I gain loads - I'm thinking of trying a few things with balsamic vinegar though. Can't get into the shops till Monday, but tablets will help for the following week so am going to try not to get disheartened on weigh day. Kids have given me their cold and we all feel yucky :(

nope no snow here either.... has went quite warm this evening so you never know it may still arrive

Well I hope you are not feeling too yucky today and that the cold is whizzing away. It is a glorious day here and the sun is shining. Horses are jumping about all over the place which is keeping me on my toes. I love it when they have springs in their hooves!!! You have now got me thinking that the soy will make me gain too - I am not feeling any thinner this week so I might have another STS on Monday - we will see - I was thinking about avoiding the scales but that is what I have always done and I think it will be better for me to face the music!!!! Fingers crossed for tomorrow WI for you. Hope the children behaving and that you have a nice weekend planned. x

Seven year old away for the night, amazing how quiet it is! Others are colouring in and I am desperately trying to ignore how much I want a glass of wine - worked out I've had three bottles in 9 months, which when you consider I used to have that over a weekend, is either impressive or depressing!! Today, I find it depressing.

NOOOOOO impressive, impressive, impressive! I have 4 bottles in the fridge which have been there since before Christmas - if I want a drink these days - and boy sometimes I really do, I have a vodka and diet coke which sooooo far hasn't affected my weight loss at all even when I had 8!!!!! LOL - didn't feel too bright after that session. Just think in 6 lb time you can have a gala meal and a lovely glass of wine - if you have it on an empty tummy it will really hit the spot!!!!! Lol. Just been called to the stables and my lovely lovely horse has a horrible leg injury so now waiting for the vet to arrive - looks like he will need surgery to me but maybe I am wrong - fingers are crossed that I have got it wrong but not so sure!!! Lordy it never rains but it pours. Keep away from the wine and chocs CD and can't wait for tomorrows wi results xx

Hope horse is not as bad as you feared Trudy? I haven't ridden since I was a teenager, listening to you & Ellie makes me miss it so much! 7 year old is desperate for lessons.
Anyway, 1 1/2 lb loss this week which at least is going in the right direction! Have decided to lose 1 more stone, accept I might not be able to maintain at that but it is something that is important to me to do. Today's pv:
B - muffin & wee bit of cream cheese
L - Onion omelette, veg soup
D - Roast chicken, bns mash, cabbage
S - Tin of tuna
