Caledonian Dukan

OH fab CD :D i think ive mentioned i love my rayburn lol ... i was quite scared of it at first as its solid fuel but since we had the new part put in and got it going we have used 2/3rds less oil so its saving a fortune not to mention piping hot water all the time. Ive put a small sofa in the kitchen so we spend most of our time in here... hubby wants to get a tv in here also then we can keep the living room for when we have guests

That's kind of what I want to do Ellie - have the kitchen cosy with rayburn and settee for us and living room for the kids. I'm always in the kitchen baking anyway, yesterday I made chocolate chip shortbread for the kids which they wolfed down. Think I'm going to get them to make jam tarts tomorrow for their weekend treat.
Had lovely, unexpected afternoon with sister-in-law today she hasn't seen me for a month and could see a difference which is good.

Awe that's good :D don't mention shortbread to me lol

The shortbread took AGES to bind together as it was so cold!! I got a good upper-arm workout though :D

Well done for making shortbread and not wolfing it down too - it would be my weakness, I made some vanilla shortbread cookies for the girls before Christmas with Ben and boy I struggled not to have just a little taster - would be fine with the jam tarts - not interested at all but shortbread - argh - when Ellie mentioned her little slip with the stem ginger shortbread I could only wish I had some to eat too!!! Not many days till Mr CD home and if your friend can see the difference then so will Mr CD!! Hope you have a sassy little top to team with the Dotty P skinny jeans!!! Maybe some killer heels too - just for the hello cos if you are anything like me you will be crippled wearing them any longer!!!! LOL. I wore high heels to town last week - bad mistake - by the time I got to Sainsbury's I looked like I needed serious help and my feet still hurt two days later!!! LOL! Have a great weekend CD and wrap up warm - its gonna be a cold one! xx

I'm the same trudy, think all the welly wearing adjusts your feet as I never had that trouble when I was young lol

I have flat feet so heels are agony! Want to get some nice new black knee boots to wear with black skinnies soon - I know Mr CD would like that!
Not sure about my decision to have PP Fri and Sat so I can always have Sunday as PV - two consecutive days of PP are so dull. Hmm, will have to think about this I think. Anyway, have decided to not cross the city for dancing today as it is FREEZING.
Seven year old has just found the missing TV remote, in a flowerpot (?), so think we'll watch movies and I'll get them some popcorn etc from the local shop.
Hope everyone is staying warm.

sounds like a good idea CD :D its blowing a hoolie up here and a blizzard to wet to lie so far ...I want the hard frost and sunshine back... its so much more pleasant

Well I hope you stayed in and kept warm and had a lovely day with the children vegging out!!! I really didn't enjoy my outside work today - think I lost all the skin round my mouth in the wind which was really bitter!!! Have managed to wrap up enough to keep my head and torso warm but need to find a solution to the cold hands and feet which is misery!! Did you have an okay Dukan day considering it was PP - they are a drag aren't they?? I always do a PP weekend before weigh in on Monday and have to say I struggle at times - mind you it is good that I weigh on a Monday as it is my day off and I can always have a PV day after weighing which is nice!!! My Thai soup should be nicely cooled - put it out in the laundry - so will skim the fat off and see how it tastes!! removed all the skin and fat I could see from the chicken but it was on the bone so still a certain amount on it! Hope this next week flies by for you CD xxx

I have flat feet so heels are agony!

Im not only a giraffe at 5'10 but flat footed too. Can wear heels for half an hour - longer if I dont have to move!

Not sure about my decision to have PP Fri and Sat so I can always have Sunday as PV - two consecutive days of PP are so dull. Hmm, will have to think about this I think.

I always have PPs on these 2 days better for weigh on a sunday (not today tho)

I definitely am finding 2PP a chore, however I do really like having Sunday as PV so I'll keep trying for as long as I can. I find Sundays without my husband awful, he's often had to work on them so I should be used to it but they depress me awfully. Ten years of the Isle of Lewis, where nothing is open on Sundays apart from the pubs didn't help. And now, when I'm back in civilisation, I can't take the children swimming on Sundays as I need an extra adult there!! Can't wait till the summer when husband here for good - Sunday swimming, long walks along the canal, hill-walking.
Have just eaten bacon, eggs, grilled tomato and mushrooms - yum yum yum. Haven't had bacon for ages as the salt makes me retain water but thought I could now I'm only weighing once a month. Will drink loads of water today too.
Think I'm going to make a cup of tea and go back under the duvet for a while with my book - kids are playing peacefully which isn't going to last long!!

wish i could snuggle back under the duvet but sadly i have stables to muckout... all extra excersise LOL

Huh...they'd started arguing before I even got back to bed!!

All the best laid plans and all that.........you spoke too soon CD. Now I have put my before and during pics up you need to do the same!!!! You promised!! Breakfast sounded v yummy - can't wait for a PV day tomorrow.......... Hope the children have behaved and aren't driving you up the wall. The weather here was horrendous this morning with sheet ice everywhere - I was sliding all over the place in the tractor thing we have when I went down the fields but it turned into a lovely sunny day and all the ice has gone now.......but if it freezes tonight tomorrow will be fun, fun, fun!!! The Thai soup is lacking something but really not sure what - tastes alright, just a bit insipid!!! Not sure whether to add fresh coriander as not that keen but it is key in all thai dishes so might help give it that something extra.

My weekend was relatively calm all in all but... I have stomach ache :(. Haven't felt this sick for ages, funny how you forget how horrible it feels between times. Was horrible taking daughter to school, fresh air didn't help. Will get some diet lemonade at lunchtime when I take the wee ones to nursery. Roll on the weekend when their Dad can take over!!

Poor CD hope you feel better soon and especially in time for Mr CD visit. Take it easy and fingers crossed it is just a 24 hr bug.................. and that the children don't get it!!! xx

Thanks Trudy, feel a lot better now and sipping diet irn bru! I'm going to get Mr CD to give me one of the very few photos I have of the XXXL me so I can put up some before and after pics. I think you and Ellie look fab!
