Calorie Counting Diary - Mini Goals

Hi Ladies, thanks for you encouragement. Had a lovely weekend on plan and then yesterday off plan as had family over for the bank holiday but I weighed in yesterday morning at....... 11 4.2!!!! So the lowest I've been since i started the diet!!! Woo hoo!!! Just over 3 1/2 lbs lost. So happy!!!! My week of hard work paid off!!!!!! xxxxx

Wow! Well done you, it was well worth the effort wasn't it? I'm made up for you :)

So had a lovely couple of days off plan enjoying nice food. :) Although, I have noticed I can't eat chocolate or rubbish like I used to. It doesn't make me feel good! It makes me feel like crap! So having a kind of on plan day today but not as strict so if I go over by a few calories I'm not going to stress. I'll be 100% back on plan on Tuesday when I get back. And hope to lose any gain I get/deserve! lol. xxx

To be honest I'd not heard that about swimming until now so had a google. Maybe you'd be better off doing the gym just in case :D

I know! I was thinking that. I just hate the gym! lol. Maybe get up and go running on a morning. Or do an exercise dvd. Think I could do that. If I started doing that 2 or 3 mornings a week. Surely every little helps? xxx

Hey Kirsty :p, how are you hun ? Oh I think exercise will work fab for you along with CC :). I have also heard some of my friends say swimming slows their losses a bit. I think because your builds muscle, but its excellent for toning the whole body, great to do before a holiday. For everyday exercise I think gym is fab ! Even with that you will find the first week your loss will be slow because your body is adjusting, but keep at it and the weight will start dropping off as your metabolism sky rockets ! You will burn calories a lot faster. Could not recommend it enough. You will become an addicted gym bunny before you know it. I find a lot of people that are reluctant to start it are the ones that enjoy it the most once they get going. Defo give it a try hun, summer is the best time to join, so many fit bodies to look at lol, that's always an incentive ! :D Hope you have a cracking week ahead hun :) !

Afternoon Kirsty :) Hope you had a fab weekend! xx

Hi Sammy,

Thank you. The weekend has ruined me!! Haha. I feel so tired and ill today lol. Had a fab time though but far too much alcohol and junk food. Straight back with lots of fruit today though and hoping to shift the 8 (yes, 8!!!!!!) lbs I put on over the weekend! lol. xxxx

Hi Kay,

I'm fab thanks. But very, very tired today!!! Yes, I do know what you mean and heard a lot of people say that about swimming. I may have to apply for the gym but then it depresses me going to the gym inside when it's sunny outside. Hmmm. I will have to have a think! Hope you're ok. How are you getting on? xxxx

Hey hun,
How are you? I hope you had a great weekend.
Catch up with you when you come back online.xx

Hi!! I'm great thanks but very tired today! Wish I wasn't back at work :( How are you? The weekend was fab thanks! How's things going with you? xxx

The 8lbs will soon shift Kirsty. I bet if you can manage a really good week you will see quite a loss at the end of it!

I hope so. I wasn't as upset as i thought I'd be. Probably because I knew I deserved it! lol. I just really didn't want to see that 12, like ever again!!! Yep, planning on having a 100% week so got my fingers crossed. Got 1 meal out planned on Thursday but I'm going to enjoy it as it's for my friends birthday. And to be fair I used to give myself 1 night off a week and still lost but stopped doing that. But it really gives me something to look forward to and be good for during the week if I know I have a night off planned. I really hope I lose a lot of what I've put on this week as I've tried so hard to get it off! So fingers crossed! But, next weekend. 2 weddings in one weekend, all day and night. Yikes!!! June is going to be my 100% month! Damn life, it keeps getting in the way! lol xxx

Tuesday 13th May -

Breakfast: Tea, low cal hot chocolate, Small bowl of cornflakes with semi skimmed milk (170cals)
Dinner: Prawn salad with prawn marie rose sauce (lighter than light mayo, tomato puree, lemon juice), double choc alpen light bar (233cals)
Tea: Chicken salad with 1tbsp tomato ketchup (231cals)
Snacks: WW mini choc cookies, low cal hot chocolate, raspberries, strawberries, time out. (326cals)

Total: 960cals which left me with 240 calories for the day which is just as well as some cake mixture and buttercream jumped into my mouth before I knew what was going on lol. So just calling it 1,200 for the day. xxx

Morning Kirsty :),

lol @ the buttercream always jumping into your mouth :giggle:, I know how you must feel hun, I used to work for Thorntons, the chocolate shop, and we would have the most amazing luxury chocolate samples sent to our store for the staff to taste before we would launch a new product. God those were the days, I was in chocolate heaven ! :D

Hehe. And oh. my. god!! I'm drooling!!! That would be amazing!!! But also very dangerous for the diet! I'm sat munching a pear trying to forget about all the naughty stuff I could be eating! lol

Hope you're having a fab day! xxx

Good morning hun,
Wow 2 weddings in one weekend, that's some going...you'll be a busy bee flying between the two!
Why is it that having a life always gets in the way of dieting. If only it was the other way round and having a life made you thin, wouldn't that be fab!!
Anyway I hope you have a good day today.xx

I know! Tell me about it. I have the wedding on the friday (which I'm also making the 4 tiered cake for and doing a sweet table and 6 sweet trees) then the Saturday I have a bridesmaid cake to make for the wedding on the sunday, a birthday cake, and brownies, cookies, shortbread, cupcakes for a birthday party, then on the sunday is the wedding and another sweet table. Going to be such a busy weekend!!! Argh!!!! Stressed out which I don't think is helping my dieting at all!!

Yes, that definetely would be fab!! Oh well, I will enjoy the weddings and food but then get straight back to the diet. I'm planning on trying to go for a 100% month in June, no slip ups, nothing, so hopefully that will help! :) xx

Hi All,

Well, I'm afraid yesterday was a right off. I was doing well but really stressed with work and cakes at the minute so it was all getting on top of me and of course I turned to food. Stupid me. But, I have drawn a line under it and straight back to it today. I'm attempting a bit of a detox over the next few days (except tonight, out for a friends birthday) so I'll let you know how I get on.

Also had a little non scales victory yesterday. my mam ordered me 2 dresses for the weddings I'm going to next week and was being optimistic and ordered them both in size 10 & 12 (I asked for them in a 14!) and both the 10's fit perfectly and I didn't even have to undo the zip on one of them so that made me feel really good and spurred me on even more.

If I'm brave enough I'll post a pic next week from both the weddings! :) xxxx
