Cant do it

Was restart today but just not in the right frame of mind. Just can't get used to not having food. I shall join WW after all. You are all amazing. I don't know how you do it!!!!! See ya folks. I won't be back on here now. I will be on WW forum.
 
Hey bubbs! Just read both ur posts lol :) you sound as messed up as I was the last time I tried a VLCD! I was on Exante back then and was so determined to do it but failed after day 3. I started again on Tuesday so today is day 6 and last night I was on the verge of tears because I wanted my usual Sat night 'treat' but after hopping on the scales this morning I am so glad I didn't give in! I've lost 6lbs from 5 days on plan :) I'm past the physical hunger, just getting 'head' hunger! I feel your pain and if ur really not ready then you won't do it. I've got a holiday in 2.5 weeks and no clothes that fit to spur me on and I meant to start months ago but kept putting it off! I'm doing a mix of Exante & slim & save and it seems to be doing the trick! I did WW after my last fail and with 2 weeks at 100% and not even touching the extra weeklies i only lost 2lb per week!! Good luck whatever you decide to do xx
 
You do have food though?!

you have veg and meat and you have bars and chilli, maccaroni, salad ect?!

its not like some where its 3 shakes a day??
 
I just have the packs, I was led to believe the veg was optional...

I have 2 x Exante Packs & 2 S&S packs so that I'm getting my full nutritional amount. I have bars too but only 1 a day, I have the Tesco ultraslim raspberry ones, they're lovely :)

It works out I'm taking in approx 70 cals more this way than if I was just having 3 Exante shakes a day.

I drink coke zero too and have my morning cuppa with milk x
 
I'm sure you shall do great on WW :) Its a good plan and easier to stick too. I can imagine that if you heads just not in it this way of dieting is like torture lol

Sorry I've taken so long to reply. Me and hubby were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
I feel embarrassed to be on here and so messed up like you say. I'm indecisive to say the least. I'm on steroids and antibiotics for a chest infection. Too much smoking lol. I think the steroids are giving me an appetite. This is the first VLCD I've done. So you're on exante? I've lots to lose and not just a couple of stone. I've 9 st to lose. Sob!!! Omg is that what PP is like? I did the old plan with not much success either. Spoke to a girl on here who doesn't have her milk or veg allwowance coz she said it makes her feel more hungry. So confused with it all tbh. I can't do much exercise now coz of health probs so I will be there forever on WW then lol. Like you no clothes fit me. I can only go into Evans or simply be!! Even then I have trouble getting my size. I'm a size 26/28. I'm gonna sit down and have a good long hard think. Coz I wont even lose 2lb a week with no exercise on WW. Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna look on the stickies and pick up some tips. But if I do start this again I won't announce it til I've got through the first week. A big if btw lol. Thanks xxx

Thanks I shall make my decision. That's what I thought but someone on here. I can't remember who doesn't have their allowance. I'm just gonna sit down and do it and look at the stickies which I haven't done yet. But if I do start I wont announce it anymore. I feel so embarrassed. I've lots to lose. And can't do much exercise coz of health probs. Thankyou. Sorry I've taken so long to reply I've been celebrating.

You did well for 3 days. I can't get through day I. But I had my heart set on this. Coz I thought its not like the Cambridge diet. I could never do that. So you can drink coke zero?
 
Yes you can have coke zero, there's a few others too that you can have like dr pepper zero and tescos own strawberry water. Look on their website in the q&a section and there's a list.

I find the Exante shakes more filling as they are thicker & creamier but the S&S taste better so that's why I'm mixing the 2, I feel fuller that way!

I'd heard a lot of bad press about the new WW plan but thought I'd give it a go anyway and I even did exercise some days too. I lost, but not enough quick enough.

The old plan was better so if you decide to go with it maybe try the old way, you should b able to pick the books up off eBay.

It's always the first few days that are a killer, day 4 for me is where I start to have a serious talk with myself lol! I tell myself that I'm not that bad and that I will eat healthy from now on but then I take a look in the mirror without my clothes on and realise I am in denial and I will never stick to healthy eating while I have so much to lose! I wouldn't mind 2lb a week if I only had 7lb to lose but with about 5st to lose I'd never do it!

If you can stick it for 7 days you will feel fab as the scales will reward you for it! You will be firmly in ketosis so not hungry except for the cravings in your head which we all get...,

Good luck and don't beat yourself up about it. This is my 4th restart! You'll do it when you're mentally ready to do it xx
 
I have lost 9 stone on a VLCD and so can you. Don't get all het up about what other people say about the veg allowance etc. The most important thing is that you find something you can stick to and which works for you. If you are having lots of trouble giving up food then don't. Have a porridge or oatmeal pack for brekkie, spag bol pack for lunch with extra mushrooms, chicken breast and salad for tea followed by a yummy bar for supper - or some other combination. I would strongly suggest that you do the 3 packs plus protein meal option as the lack of 'normal' food seems to be your issue.

I have not done much exercise on this plan (although I'm starting to now) and have lost the weight in 10 months. I went from a size 26 to a size 10.

Yes I have looked and actually introduced myself on the forum. Very friendly just like on here. I noticed their was a lot on there going from PP to discover. I don't like the sound of it at all. Plus I don't cook and just eat WW meals which are not that cheap!!' yes I'm gonna give this another go. Thanks Jacobsmummy :)

Wow Weasey that's amazing. Size 26 off of Simply Be is tight on me now. Food isn't really an issue as such, it's just fear of letting go I suppose. I'm not sure. Maybe 3 packs plus a meal would do the trick. Yes I've read the stickies and got some ideas. I have an Ecig coz I smoke 40 a day. It's coming on Thursday High strength one. atm I'm on steroids and antibiotics for a chest infection. So can't do it until I finish them on Thursday. Or maybe I could get used to the diet and then lose a stone hopefully then try the Electronic cig!! One question though Can you still get into ketosis if on antidepressants. I am well. I did ask my GP and he gave me the go ahead? Will it effect getting into ketosis?

I think you need to take an hour or so and read previous posts and note down what you can and cant have, instead of having the mindset of ''i cant have'' think i can have.
personally ww and sw are no good for me as i need portion control, this plan is ideal in that way but also for making you feel normal, the meal i can have keeps me on track!
if you find it hard, you can always have a boiled egg thats not going to kill your calories but if it keeps you on plan its so worth it.
spend some time putting into fitness data base foods you'd be allowed to have on ww and sw and youll soon see why you only lose 1-2lb a week!
i hope you decide to have another go, once you get into it, it really is a walk in the park.....but then i say everyone should have a week on lipotrim to truly appreciate this plan.

Well Weasey has inspired me so much I'm starting tomorrow. Don't think steroids are affecting my appetite that much tbh. Lol yes I'm starting tomorrow. Yay. I shall try 4 meal packs plus milk and veg allowance. My GP gave me the go ahead. So being on meds which by the way about me being overweight won't effect me getting into ketosis I suppose. Thanks Helen. Xxx

If you want the veg then you have the veg. The diet is 600 calories a day... The veg isn't going to make a lot of difference. Compared to what most of us would usually eat before starting on a VLCD, anything under 1000 calories is nothing! You would burn more than 600 calories a day even if you did nothing except lie in bed- its impossible not to lose weight on a VLCD because of the calorie deficit.
I won't pry into your health issues, but there is usually a type of exercise for everybody. Even walking. And things that most people do but don't deem to be exercise- cleaning, mowing the lawn, walking the dog, washing the car etc. I don't like going to the gym (still a bit self conscious, I still go bright red, get very sweaty and I have a funny run!) but I have exercise DVDs and go on footpaths that aren't well used if I want to do my funny running!
 
With exercise, when I was on Exante a few months ago I never went to the gym or used my Wii, for some reason it was too much for me. All I did was walk everywhere and I lost 3 stone in 3 months. I went onto weight watchers and one thing I didn't like on there was the points, I had 27DP which is fine, but when I tracked my food into my fitness pal I was getting less than a 1000 cals which, with eating food isn't good as meant to have 1200. I gained weight and I've come to slim and save. My mum is on anti depressants & various other tablets and she did Exante, she was okay on it. She has since gone onto weight watchers but thats because my grandparents aren't well and shes caring for them both.

I'm having 4 packs, no veg, no milk but that is my choice. Others might do the same, or they might use their allowance. You do need to find what is best for you, no two people are the same :)
