CharleyBarley - my new 2014 diary with pics

Charley, reading above, just realised that a friend gave me a fakeaway book (booklet) a while ago can't follow recipes and make up my own most of the item. Please PM me with your address and I post it for you when I get back home in a week.

Ah thanks Rosa that's really kind of you, but like you, I make mine up too. I find SW recipes a bit bland so I tend to create my own or pilfer ideas from here!!

I am going to make KFC, doner kebab, pizzas, Indian and Chinese. Hmmm xx

Ok so just came back from dinner, which was really nice, I did well, one glass of white wine, then diet coke. To start I had meatballs - which were nice, but I preferred my own! Then mains I had poached cod and new potatoes in a hollandaise sauce - this was absolutely delicious the fish just fell apart when move the fillet slightly so the photo is a bit messy....

I politely declined dessert and had a cappuccino instead - we had a lovely meal.

I just looked at the photo and the hollandaise looks like scrambled egg!!!

I am having kebab with chops tomorrow night - looking forward to it . Now need to get myself some salad to go with it. Think a trip to town is in order if I get the time as I have a busy day ahead.

I agree, the new fakeaway book looks brilliant!
Well done for getting back on SW x

Tuesday 1st April - Red day

Hi all, I hope y'all had lovely Tuesdays, mine was ok, I have the flat to myself this evening as Mick has gone to see Captain America 2 - I didn't fancy it, I really liked the first one but I always find the sequel to films pretty rubbish. Anyhoo he can report back to me and if it's any good I will go....so I am currently watching Did You Hear About The Morgans - I like that film.

So food - I decided to go for a red day today as I fancied a proper sandwich with proper bread - I don't like the 400g loaves, I would much rather have one slice of 800g bread - today I had two slices - go me!!!:

B - 2 BGTY Sausage (1) ketchup (1)

image-3262828833.jpg

L - Cheese and Onion and Lettuce Sandwich (HEA x1.5 and HEB x2) (1) for LCL spread with Shapers Onion Ring (3) with pineapple and mango

This was so lovely.

S - Banana

D - Chicken Quarter with Cauli Mash and garlic mushrooms and prawns (1/2 HEA) (4) chilli sauce

This was lovely too. So I have used 10 syns

Food looks delish!

Double check in future, but if you weigh 2 slices of an 800g loaf, it's normally around 58/59 grams.

60g of any wholemeal bread is a hexb, so for 1 hexb & 2 syns you can have 2 slices of big bread!! xx

Awesome day on plan hun. You aren't missing much with Captain America either. Chris dragged me along and I nearly fell asleep! xxx

Feck a deck really?!? Thanks so much. I needn't have had a red day, altho to be honest I never missed my carbs. Xxx

Thanks hun. Oh really?? I won't have missed too much then. Did you like the first one? X

Yes but measure first and don't take my word in case you get a loaf that's massively over xx

Ok, will do. Just to get it right is it supposed to be 60g per slice or for two slices?
