Unfortunately my WI time means that I have to dash to my CDC during lunch, so no time to get changed. Will keep that 2 1/4lbs in the bank for a bad week, then it will be cotton frock time!

Glad to hear that you've had a good day today. I haven't had to worry about slip-ups as I have to eat to take my anti-inflammatories, so was quite impressed that today went so well - will have to see how week 2 goes and then re-assess pain vs weight loss. Am really craving spaghetti today though for some reason....

Thanks for the good wishes. I hope everyone has a good day at work. And, I'm going to try and keep it to a minimum and have decided to really buckle down next week. We've already started making our "family Thanksgiving" calls (to other Americans we know are home today -- i.e. our friends in Germany). Then, we'll get ready to go out to lunch, and after lunch it'll be our daughter's "normal" Thursday activity schedule as she goes to British school and refused to take this holiday off!

Its quiet on her today! Ive been good so far today have only done 1.5 litres of water but ill catch that up when im at home tonight! And have had 1 shake so hopefully i can stick to it again.
Have been really sleepy at work today only had 4hrs last night! But hey ho!

Shanny, i just need to try to track Claire down to see if she still wants to be on team, or if she wants to be a non- weighing member so you could take her place. She's back from hols now. Will pm her now and if no response by Sat, i see no reason why you couldn't be in, and Claire could continue to lurk whenever she feels like it.

Hey Pol, 6lb is amazing,:D well done you- you must be over the moon. Are you all enthused to carry on now,- i know big losses always give me a boost. LOL at the scale hopping, i do the same, jeans can add up to 2lb!:rolleyes:

MM, not sure i could ever agree with homemade cakes of any description being yuck! I debated doing some with DD today but knew i'd end up licking the bowl, so its a no go.. Hope you have a lovely day, enjoy the pumpkin pie, just a small bit mind...... cd will be waiting for you when its all over, you know it'll come off again. Lifes too short to not be able to celebrate those special occassions. Its just about learning to do it with less gusto that pre cd, which is the really hard bit. My binge habits are going to be so hard to break.:eek:

Nicki, hope you are starting to feel better hun, and coping ok with the eating, without having to run to loo!

Think my cold is eventually deciding to be nasty to me, after lurking for weeks, i now feel like crap. Head thick and sinus blocked, achey and tired, no energy. May be in part due to carb overload last night....but i suspect it is more cold.
Made cinder toffee last night, and then coated it in chocolate. Have never made it before, it was a trial for the hampers. It was loads of fun, but inevitably it had to be tried.
Have decided to move up to 1000, and i am seeing it very much as a fresh start. I need to get my head round healthy eating before xmas comes! Loving thw look of the plan, you will not believe how much fruit you can have.....i so enjoyed it!

1000 is still a losing plan, just not as rapid. My BMR calculations suggest i need about 1500-1600 to maintain, so given that 350cals is equal to 1lb i should continue to lose 1-2lb per week, (if i am a really good girl!)
Having said that, there are people on here who have lost all their weight on 1000 and at almost comparable rates to ss and ss+, so i guess i'll just have to wait and see.
Not sure how low i want to go, i just want to learn to eat properly. xx
 
yeah same here cos ive noticed afew people saying they put all the weight back on, but im thinking they didnt do the maintaining plans!
I do wonder how you can lose so much andput it back on and get worried it will happen to me.....eeeek
 
Thank you Butterfuly im starting in the morning cant wait now.! H2LB can i just say when i can off CD in september i stopped at the 1000 plan did it for 2 weeks.! Didnt work up the plans (just my choice really)
But went back to ww to maintain on points and since september to date ive only gained 1 lb.!!
So i really think it's down to the indiviual really if people decide to go "MAD" over the wrong foods..! It's been two half months and im still going strong and will never be 3 stone heavier again.!

It is best to work up the plans as my CDC said i didnt.! these no reason y u should gain weight again "i say stay in control" x
 
Hey Shanny, i have no probs with you being on here anyway, irrespective of what's happenning with Claire. (Oh, and if you get chance take a peek at the team rules a few pages back) We can still post and support each other as a team, no matter who's results go into the challenge. You've done so well to only gain 1lb in all that time. How much more do you want to lose? Which plan are you going to do?

I do get freaked by the thought of gaining it again, i'm so determined not to, which is why i am taking my time reintroducing foods again, and reading a whole load of low GI stuff. I just know how bad my eating was pre cd, it amounts to a hell of a lot of head and behaviour change to take on...

Have just eaten my tea, and really enjoyed it, my first pasta in 5 months! Delicious..... xx

well im returning back to CD as from tomorrow morning now ive reached goal since september but returning back to loose a stone atleast.! To be 10 stone im happy still at the moment but i know CD will get them there if i stick to the plan.!

Im going to be doing SS+ aswell as SSing on a weekend, im off to the Algrave on christmas eve and would like to be half way or atleast 10 ls lighter.! I have left ww for now and will be returning in January to maintain as it works for me and i dont fill like im missing out on certain foods.!
Im 27yrs leave at home still work full time and study part time.!

I do find it hard to be on CD at work as i get asked so many questions to why im not eating or only eating tuna,salad do wish people would stop beeing so noisey lol.!

But i will do my best for next week.! hope to get to know u ALL soon.x

1lb gain is well good specially as they say u put on half of what u lose in ur first week well done hun.....how long u going algarve for?

WHY WHY WHY? do mt scales say a 4lb gain since yesterday? how the hell did that happen i no i cheated but 4lbs worth noooooo freakin way! I did weigh at night tho maybe thats it PLS SAY THATS IT LOL!

How has everyone found today i nibbled at my mums tonight, dunno why i cant stick to this feel like an idiot really! Its night times that do it during day im fine!?? Any advice? xx
 
Oooh, Shanny, how lovely to be jetting off somewhere hot for xmas! At least it keeps you focused. I'm sure you'll get where you want, you sound so determined, and to keep the weight off all that time takes some work! Hope i can do as well....
H2LB, night times have always been my bad patch too, if possible just do not have stuff in the house that you feel tempted by. Thats the main way i manage to curb it, and it means family only have healthy stuff too. Keep hands busy, i took up crochet in the early weeks, justto keep a high level of distraction, anything to keep mind and body active and away from the kitchen, puzzles/ cleaning, anything goes. I lived on minis, constantly read success stories and tried to imagine my own goals, my OH complains he is a minimins widow, but it has saved me from many a bad nibbling night. One nibble needn't lead to a night long binge, stop it in the bud as soon as you can, you'll minimise the damage. Remind yourself that fitting into those skinnier clothes, feeling healthy or sticking a proverbial two fingers up to cd doubters will feel so much better than what you are about to put in your mouth. There's something quite amazing about making it through a day 100%, gives you a little buzz, and keeps you going. Just aim for one day at a time, YOU CAN DO IT!!
As for the 4lb, i can vary this much from morn to night, don't forget to account that water weighs a fair bit. If you have not eaten in excess of the calories you need in a day, (1500-2000) your gains will be water, not fat, and will drop when you get back into ketosis and ss again. Don't panic, and don't let the dissappointment of the scales spiral you off to a binge, easy trap to fall into, but makes you feel like crap.
Goodnight all, trying to plan food for next few days as in work Fri and Sat night, and need to decide how to space it all..... eating complicates things no end...! xx

As for the nibbling, how about chopping up a bar and popping it in the fridge? In my about-to-chew-off-my-arm desperation the other night I discovered half a peanut bar in my fridge - job done! My other one is a black olive or two, as the intense flavour seems to hit the spot. Or brush your teeth! Probably teaching you to suck eggs..... (mmmm..... could murder a soft boiled egg right now!)

Obviously I am new to this diet thing, but if you are struggling to SS how about SS+ or 810-ing? Maybe if you had an 'allowed' proper meal each day you'd stop nibbling and therefore stop beating yourself up about it.... Just a thought.....

Anyway, tomorrow is another day girlie, so keep your chin up!

Morning alland thank you for your kind welcomes Butterfly im motivated now but i can easily slip in the evenings from work.!
But will be on here more in the evenings to keep me focused.!

I know ive read sooo many stories of people gaining the weight but nah, im all pre programmed now since coming of CD.!

so im here having my first shake this morning im ssing till monday then will go onto the ss+.!!
Im sure if i can do it so can ALL of you guys.!
