Cheekychinchilla's food and stuff

Today is most definitely an off plan day. But a super mega nommy one! Actually, my tea wasn't and my brunch was prob half free (Huevos Rancheros :D) But chocolate and cake.... But I really don't feel guilty! I've been very good with syns this week. Wish I'd done more exercise, but never mind.
Back on track tomorrow and have made me a nice, healthy, very low syn lunch.

The Andrea Bocelli screening we went to today was amazing. What a beautiful man!!!

Today did not go to plan. I have a really sore back, but forgot to take my morning anti inflammatory. I stabbed myself in the thumb with a bloody needle. And, this might be the worst thing ever, I took the wrong flavour of yogurt!!! I took a banoffee one to have with tropical fruit  :argh: Lol!

Lemon yog alpen lights sound yum! I love cereal bars that have yoghurt layers! Will look out for them.

Dan in Real Life was fun :D I saw Crazy, Stupid Love the other day and was expecting more laughs as it was billed as a comedy- more of a drama to me! We watched Anchorman again, never get old of Brick in that, just amazing!

Ah, I really suck at house work, we live in a mess most of the time  the lounge gets a hoover every few months- lol :/

Off plan day followed by lots of fruit- sounds fine by me :D nice that you dont feel guilty, I feel guilty whenever I have chocolate or sweets at the moment!
X

I think the new lemon Alpen's just have the usual drizzle of yogurt on top. So a little misleading I reckon!! Nice tho :)

I love Crazy Stupid Love. It's definitely one of my favourite films now. I think it definitely has Steve Carell's touch for slightly dark, depressing comedy. But not as much as the likes of Dan?

Hahaha. I love lamp...

I really am trying not to guilt trip myself if I have a day off or even an off plan treat. Stuff happens and I'd never be able to stick to SW perfectly in real life, you know? I was terrible when I first started out. Anything like that was the end of the world lol. x

Tuesday: 11:30 - 8 at work again. Having a proper, naughty green day lunch... no veg  Lol!

The rest of the fruit.

So tired! And my back is still sore *sulks*
I'm on a stupid shift tomorrow (4 till 8) But knowing I don't have to get up early I've 'wasted' ;) some of my night doing course work. I've finished off the assignment I was trying to finish off last week and I've altered a post operative care one to make it look like I'm talking about a specific procedure. Hopefully they're ok! The plan for tomorrow is to get up before 12  and work on putting right one of the other assignments. Or at least some of it before I have to go in. I do have to do my rabbit talk tomorrow (bluerg!) so need to at least read back through my leaflet, which I put together last bloody September, and just familiarise myself with it again. I *think* I just need to present the leaflet to a few people and let them ask a few questions. Seriously CBA, but it has to be done....

But, now it's almost 11:30 I think I will stick something funny on the tv, have some chocolate porridge and a mug of hot chocolate, and then go to bed. To no doubt dream of bunnies!!x

Hey Cheeky :) good girl for 'wasting' time getting your work course work done :p do let us know how your bunny talk goes! X

Good luck with the Bunny talk missus, if anyone will nail it it's you! You're much better than me 'wasting' time on coursework rather than say. Candy Crush Saga *cough cough totes not addicted *

Heehee thanks guys! It's a bit daft because I just have to present the leaflet I designed. Which is how to transport a rabbit to a vets. Could they not just read the friggin' leaflet?! ;) Apparently I need props like a couple of different types of carriers and probably a stuffed bunny too. Am I seriously 12 years old?! The OU wouldn't have made me do this

Just been out to clean and feed my bunnies. It is so cold out there!! My toes are really painful now and some of my fingers are numb. Oh the joy!

Think after work I might pop to Sainsbury's on the way back. I figure I might as well get some Nectar points for petrol and the £20 I put in it from there last time has lasted me longer than other places. Need a few foodie bits too.

Wednesday: 4 till 8 at work. Lame! Decided to have a big lunch coz I've had it earlier than I would being in work on a full day late. Taking fruit and yogurt with me too tho.

Green Day + 10

L: 2 Linda M Sausages, half tin of beans, cheesy scrambled eggs, herby crispy potatoes, wholemeal toast, and sauce (half HexA1 + HexB1 + 1)

Evening break at work: Chopped pineapple, kiwi, and an Activia snack pot. The right flavour this time ;)

Tea: Portion of Quorn curry (I think it's daal) from the freezer with a packet of Mild Curry rice, spicy little potatoes, cottage cheese, and salad with super low cal dressing. I finally found the Discovery Taco Trays and couldn't resist trying them (2)

Snack: 2 Weetabix, chopped banana, a bit of Splenda,1tsp of vanilla maple syrup, and almond milk (1/4 HexA1 + HexB2 + 0.5)
3 Mikado (1.5)

Drinks: Coffee. Diet Coke. Options with half water half almond milk (2 + rest of HexA1)

Syns used: 7
Syns saved: 16

Exercise: Cleaning the bunnies. Not sure with work yet as I should be doing sit down work with my mentor. But at least an hour and a half on my feet once I get the emergency line.

Could you bring one of your REAL bunnies to the presentation? :D hehe

That breakfast sounds sooo good, I love cheesy scrambled eggs! Herby crispy potatoes sound great too- did you just fry them?

x

As tempting as it is. It wouldn't be seen as safe now. I did it years ago when I did a presentation on chinchilla health. I had xrays, live chins, and all sorts of stuff :D

Have done roughly 40mins of work on the dog life stages handout. Why won't google answer me "How often do neonates feed from their mothers?"?? I don't want a load of forum questions with snooty "I know better than vets" breeders answering ;)

Anyway, suppose I'd better get ready for work. Going to have to leave a bit early in case I hit stupid school traffic.

So, I did my presentation. And I got amazing feedback! I talked through my leaflet and explained why I put in various bits and pieces, but I didn't have to hold it the whole time. I scanned it occasionally, but mainly just pointed to the pictures and each section. I took a bunny teddy with me and demonstrated correct handling techniques for nice and naughty bunnies. I had a towel and two different types of carrier too: towels can be used for handling aggressive rabbits (and cats!!!), but are a decent carrier liner too. I wasn't going mental or going along the Douglas Adams/Hitchhikers route ;) I answered all the questions thrown at me without hesitation and my mentor said she was genuinely interested in what I was saying. My manager was really enthusiastic and said I was really good. She came to me later and said that she wasn't bullshi**ing me :8855: And that I was the most confident and knowledgeable person they've had do that presentation  I felt I'd rushed, but she said I hadn't at all, was very confident in what I was saying and doing, and just overall it was very well done. She said she was very pleasantly surprised as she knows me and knows I'm quite nervy and do panic about stuff. So that's pretty good, right?

What amazing feedback- sounds like you really know your sh*t :D congrats hun!
Did you feel nervous while doing it or did it just flow?
x

I felt like I was really nervous and I felt like I rushed through it and stumbled. But apparently not! And they'd be honest LOL! Feel quite good about that :) Rabbits are one of my 'things' tho. I'd love to do some specialist courses with bunnies. Maybe once I'm a qualified VCA I'd be allowed to do some. Worth keeping it in mind. I've come from an exotic animals practice anyway, so dealt a LOT with bunnies vet wise before I got this job. But I've kept bunnies for a long time. I had one when I was very small, but don't think I've been without at least one rabbit since I was about 12! I do loves my bunnies :D

You seem to be doing great considering all the coursework you have been doing I would be fully stressed out. I am starting a course through work in April and so not looking forward to the coursework side of things. Well done on acing the presentation!!!

Glad you had a good day with ur mummy at the screening!!! I love Andrea Bocelli!!! He sings my favourite song with Katherine McPhee Cant help falling in love. We have it as our first dance at our wedding. He is a truly a beautiful singer!! Being off plan was only a wee blip at least it shows how it is fitting in with your lifestyle and you are back on track straight after it.

P.s love the lemon alpen bars

Dang, I need to get some of these Lemon alpen bars!

Really happy for you for the great feeling re: presentation! Especially after stress at work, really nice to feel a strong accomplishment. My sisters have bunnies, they are so cute but their claws always catch me!

What course will you be doing through work? Mine's rubbish :p I'm looking forward to the next section, because it's more nursing and science based, rather than basic animal care. But it's a HUGE section and the lazy me is going "I don't wanna!!" ;) It's a bit frustrating because I've done a lot of this stuff before, either during previous courses or in work placements. I mean, ffs, I worked for my own vet voluntarily for two years and set up xrays, monitored anaesthetics, and generally did everything. And I come to where I am now and they're like "No, you can't do any of that, you're just a VCA" Shows the difference between practices and management. But yeah, my last boss/vet was amazing and loved to teach, so he got you doing all sorts you probably shouldn't lol. When he realised I had an interest in radiography he taught me so much and I even got the name of his "X Ray *****" Anyway, rant over, tis just different in different places and I hate this course!

I really enjoyed the Andrea Bocelli performance and I'm so glad I got the tickets. Are there any of his albums you'd recommend? If the dvd gets released or anything, the performance was "Love in Portofino". Would recommend it :)

I've only had one lemon Alpen Light so far, but I did like it and will make a nice change from my usual chocolate favourite everything!!

I'm trying not to get too down or strict about eating out or having an off plan day. In real life you can never stick to a diet all the time or you'd end up missing out on fun stuff. But yeah, if I can save syns before hand or have low syn days after then I feel that's a good way to go :)
Scales were cruel this week and were showing a 3lb gain on Mon, which went down to about 2lb's by yday evening. Going to ignore that and see what the end of next week shows. I'm working the weekend and that's the best time to weigh. I can do it as soon as I've got in, so usually only had a bit of porridge and coffee by then. Might wear my lighter shoes LOL! Will be my last WI before my holiday

I've literally just visited your diary lol! Thank you :D I feel actually pretty proud of my presentation! It has boosted my confidence a bit and given me a little, teeny bit of motivation for the course. I have to fix the rest of one assignment and then design a first aid leaflet. Another frikkin' leaflet!!!! If I can get those done before I go on holiday I'll be made up. I do have to study for an exam next week. It's a multiple choice one, which helps, but it's all bloody numbers!! It's stuff like temperature ranges, respiration and heart rates for various species. I am terrible at remembering number and quite often get them mixed up. My brain sees numbers and goes "No, I really don't think so" So that'll be a challenge.

Bunnies are awkward ******* to hold. One of mine, Ralph, is like a dog. He runs up to you and literally jumps in to your arms. He's such a sweetheart and loves a cuddle. Females are less cuddly and generally more scratchy. I've got to girls and two boys. Simon is a little white Netherland dwarf who's actually lovely for his breed (they're usually bitey, scratchy little horrors) and he lives with Peggy, who's a big white lop. And Ralph and my newest, Ramona, live together now. All happily married :) And neutered!! No babies :p

Oh I'm going to have to show you pics now!

Peggy and Simon (she's a bit skinnier now!)

And quite possibly the sweetest pic ever

This is Ralph when I first got him, very underweight, but cheeky! That's his brother behind him, but he died very suddenly :( 532983_10150677222412142_821538164_n.jpg

And Ramona when I first got her: 561740_10151111747487142_1481631109_n.jpg

I cant recommend an album cause all the songs i have are just what i downloaded from a torrent site. :ashamed0005: Half the songs I downloaded dont even have any English in them, he could be singing about anything lol!!! I just love the tone of his voice.

My course is Developing your potential working in the healthcare setting!!! So boring but its a way to a higher payscale lol!! Its the equivalent to 2 a levels!!

What are your plans for Lapland when ur there?? My 8 year old wants to see lapland for the northern lights can you believe not for Santa lol!!
