Cheekychinchilla's food and stuff

I will ask. Maybe it's just a case of trying different litters, like you are, until you found one that doesn't give him angry eyes lol.

I don't feel ill at all. Don't know what's going on with me. I do feel absolutely exhausted, but not really sleepy. What's up with that?! I'm definitely going to have to take a sleeping pill. I have just had a hot chocolate made with almond milk, so maybe that'll help :)

Just finished watching 9. Have you seen it? The little dolls? It was actually pretty good, but it had some fairly disturbing moments!!x

What is this moose pasta you fet so excited about? :p sounds fun!

9 didnt really strike me, saw it at the cinema and cant remember much about it really! Found it a bit bland but do remember it had creepy bits. Ralph was a disappointment too- not enough laughs in it! Especially for Sarah Silverman who is a comic genius :p

Maybe you're just run down from working so hard? When my BF gets ill he usually only shows low energy as a symptom!

Ha, that sounds fun :D I wonder how many syns ikea meatball sauce is? Mmm I want.
Sorry to hear you still feel crap :( hope you get some good rest and feel better tomorrow. X

Aw hun sorry you feel rubbish, hope you perk up soon. It's pants, everyone is coming down with something at the moment - blooming changeable weather!

This moose pasta eh, sounds interesting! Another reason to drive, lol ;)

Hope the week perks up and you feel better soon x

How are you feeling today Kelly? x

Hey guys! Thanks so much for the messages. It's lovely knowing you care :)

I'm ok. So very very tired, but ok. Think I managed about 5hrs sleep last night. Didn't fall asleep for ages, worrying about various things. I remember explaining to a counsellor what happens when I try to get to sleep and all the horrible thoughts run through my head. Apparently it's called catastrophising! My latest train of thought is Ellie. I'm worried about this lump under her eye now. I wasn't, but I am now. It probably really is just a fatty lump. But it's right under her eye, like where your eye bags are lol. And it seems to be getting bigger! So of course last night my brain ran through all kinds of scenarios and obv lead to her dying :(
Anyway, I spoke to my vet friend today who, luckily enough, is working this weekend with me. she's asked me to bring her in and we're going to do a test where you take a teeny sample through a needle and spray it on to a microscope slide. And she's also going to try and ultrasound it. Ellie's SUCH a good dog, you could literally do anything to her. But there's the choice of sedation too if it's needed. I just :( I know she's old and she has this really serious condition (Cushings), but she's MY dog! I adopted her when I turned 18. I wanted a dog I could train and stuff and our old dog was too old and stubborn ;) So my Mum said when I turned 18 and had a job I could get a dog. So after we got back from Lanzarote for my 18th I got a job in Pet World and adopted Ellie from Dogs Trust. Hrmph! it's SO hard when it's your own dog.
But, realistically, she'll be fine and it prob is just a fatty lump and even if it does need taking out it'll be a quick 20min anaesthetic. But, well, you know... Argh!

Work was really stupid today. it was a preventive day, so we had the whole ops diary booked out for neutering. Quite a few people didn't show or cancelled, but we had emergency after emergency just piling in! I did get just over an hour to finish an assignment though, which was lucky! I think the pain one is finally done. I just want to add a picture of a hospital sheet then I'm done. I have to study for an exam and make a first aid leaflet. Bloody leaflet!!!!!!! :p

It looks like Mum might have a chest infection too. She was coughing a bit yday, but is really ill today. My Sister's going to take her to see her Dr in the morning. I bet it's from the anaesthesia! But yeah, she's not good today. And her hand is SO painful, esp now the nerve blockers have worn off :(

I did have a nice evening though. I picked my friends up and we went to see Mama. God I love Guillermo Del Toro's stuff. He's one of my favourite directors! His horror stuff is so beautiful and haunting. And they're really clever too! Where he finds these creepy kids I've no idea! One of my friends, my adventure buddy, is as much of a horror fan as I am, but she was petrified! You know when something just freaks you out for whatever reason? She got lower and lower in her seat, her jacket got further up to her face, and at one point she was almost crouched on the seat with her hands over her mouth!! Me and Caz were looking at each other like "wtf?!" lol! I found it creepy, but it does take a lot to genuinely scare me.
I dropped Michelle home and stopped at Sainsbury's on the way home to check for stuff I need for the holiday being on offer. I got 2 boxes of Nature Valley bars, 5 packs of Bear fruit Yoyo's, 2 bars of Green and Blacks (a coffee one and a fruit & nut one, both dark chocolate!), a new toothbrush, and some surf boards (sanitary towels/undies liners lol) We have all our food provided, but it does recommend you bring some snacky stuff for the tours. Think I'm sorted ;) I used to LOVE Nature Valley's before SW made me give them up. See, I bet I will be the only person ever to come back from arctic having put weight on ;)

Tuesday food: Can't believe it's only Tuesday!! Think a good day food wise seen as I was asked if I wanted anything from the shop at lunch time (very tempted to say a Cornetto for the sake of Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz ;)), my friend going to Costa for me, me running in to Asda for cash and only buying Diet Coke, and of course the cinema!

Breakfast: Porridge, banana, 1tsp of maple syrup, and almond milk (1/4 HexA1 + HexB1 + 0.5)

First break: Tub of red grapes, blueberries, and kiwi with an Activia.

Lunch: Wholemeal moose shaped pasta in extra light mayo :D With Quorn pieces, Quorn ham, onion, peppers, mushrooms, green beans, and sweetcorn cooked in mixed herbs, paprika, and a bit of hot sauce. Salad &dressing (0.5)
I forgot my jelly  Had an apple though.

Afternoon break: Clementine.

At the cinema: 1 Alpen Light (half HexB2)

Tea: Sausage casserole, Smash, carrots, peas, cauliflower, broccoli, and 1/2tbsp of bbq sauce (2)

Snack: Another Alpen Light (rest of HexB2) and a Banoffee Activia snack pot. Still can't decide if I like that, but it makes a nice change.

Drinks: Coffee. Squash. Coke Zero. Costa medium hot chocolate with sugar free caramel (rest of HexA1 + 3)

Syns used: 6
Syns left: 9.5

Exercise: Work. Trundling round Sainsbury's.

Ah, I can't face seeing Mama! It looks so creepy! I LOVE horror films but unfortunately have had to cut them out now. I have such horrific nightmares and get sleep paralysis (haven't for a while though, phew!) which is the scariest thing in the world- crazy hallucinations while paralysed! Anyway, I decided to cut horror films down and it really helped. Last time I watched a horror with my boyfriend he kept hiding and jumping out at me and I literally cried I was so scared, so never EVER watching one with him again :p ass!
Shame though because I love beautiful, haunting cinema! I am a TOTAL wuss though. Even the lamest jumpy scenes make me scream. When I saw Halloween 2 in the cinema I screamed about 30 times. Typical very quiet followed by loud jumpy stuff always gets me  even if I close my eyes! The sound/loudness is scary!

Sucks that your worries about Ellie are keeping you up at night :( it is hard to express your love for a pet, it just doesn't seem to make sense to a lot of people but they ARE a member of your family, your best friend, they mean everything! When my Zombie died in autumn, it was the most pain I've ever experienced, I didn't stop crying for about 2 weeks! I've never had anyone close to me die, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't cry that much unless it were one of my parents or my grandma. Our pets are our worlds! I totally get your worries and I really hope the tests this weekend have a positive outcome (as in... a good outcome, not positive for disease or anything :S erm...)

Ha, it's going to be hard sticking to SW when you're being provided meals anyway, just enjoy it and I'm sure all the adventuring will be good exercise, what goes on fast comes off fast! :D I said this on another person's blog yesterday: putting on a couple of lbs is less expensive than the ££ for the holiday, so friggin enjoy that holiday and come back to your moose pasta and superfree, a couple of weeks and it'll be off again! x

Oh no, that's awful about the sleep paralysis! My adventure buddy suffers from that too! Sounds awful :( Strangely enough films don't seem to effect my horrible nightmares, so I'm safe to watch whatever. I'm a massive horror fan, particularly foreign horror. Guillermo's stuff is amazing, esp his Spanish speaking films. Very brutal, but beautiful, and always revolve around kids. I love them so much. I think the Orphanage and Pan's Labyrinth are my favourites :)

I couldn't stand someone jumping out at me though. I get really immersed in films and it would drive me nuts if someone kept trying to scare me. I'd end up knocking them out :p

My animals mean so much to me, but dogs and cats are on another level aren't they? I'm trying not to worry too much. But I am worried that if it needs to come out, I'm going away next weekend. And with Mum recovering herself I don't know if anyone could cope with Ellie's recovery too. Will just have to see what happens on Saturday. It really has grown though :(
When we had our old dog put to sleep, that was the first time I'd been with one of my pets while being put to sleep. I'd had many small animals die with me tho - the joy of animals! But that was horrific! He was very old tho, 20 and a half, and he'd gone in to kidney failure. But it's different with every animal and the relationship you've had with them and how it's come about. If that makes sense?

Looking at the pics and videos from the holiday company it looks like we'll be giving the likes of meat or fish (I did see Quorn fillets on sticks over fires!) with vegetables for the first tour. Not sure about the second, but most of them seem to involve an outdoor lunch followed by dinner back at the cabin. It'll be Swedish stuff, but that really does seem to be veg, potatoes, and 'meat'. So we'll see. But I'm really not going to worry too much about the food and just enjoy myself. I'm sure the cold and the physical stuff will need a lot of cals anyway! On our days off we're definitely visiting this cafe that does giant cakes and there's a Wagamama style place and a pizza place I wouldn't mind trying for tea :) Need to do a little bit of research before we go. I did loads, but it was months ago. Kiruna isn't that big though so we should be fine. I always love visiting shops and trying foods and stuff :D There's a church and another building I definitely want to see! Our guesthouse is just round the corner from the tourist information place. We can buy our arctic circle certificates from there too ;)
Oh god, I hope my lb gain isn't as much as the ££ loss for the holiday. What's 3500lbs? LOL!

Wednesday: Having a do not much of anything day today. I'm going to go get a Lush pamper shower in a bit. And need to clean and feed the wabbits. Also going to research stuffs to do on our days off on the holiday. But NO course work and not calling the car place. Nope. Real life can wait till tomorrow!

Food: Green Day + 10

Lunch: 2 Linda M Sausages, half a tin of spaghetti, herby potatoes, cheesy scrambled eggs, wholemeal toast, and bbq sauce. (half HexA + HexB1 + 1)

Tea: Ratatouille, spaghetti, something Quorn, cheese, salad, mayo + dressing (1) Had to buy different dressing this time and it's higher in cals, so I'll have to count it :(

Snack: An apple Alpen Light and a Lemon one, a chopped kiwi, Apple Crumble shape 0%, and 1tsp of maple syrup (HexB2 + 1)
a Hotel Chocolat choc (3)

Drinks: Coke Zero. Coffee. Rooibos Creme Caramel.

Ahh that trip sounds so great, I'm sure you're going to love it :D lots of exploring to do!
I'm sure they have veggie alternatives to everything, I guess just avoiding extra bready things would probably help though. Are you going to let loose and have everything or reign in a bit but have the nice things you really fancy? I guess for me I'd.let.myself have pizza and then think 'screw it!' and end up eating off plan stuff I didnt really want/need like white toast with jam at breakfast and pastries etc...! I havent had many scenarios eating out since starting SW but panic when I do! I work from home so I have control a lot of the time...

Oh I doubt I'll be good at all lol! I eat healthily generally anyway. But I'm not going on a trip of a lifetime and worrying about whether to have a cake or pizza ;) I'll deal with the damage, and moan about it, when I get home. I'm down as veggie on the booking references so all food provided by the tours will be veggie and probably pretty healthy. I'll only have 2 days during the holiday to buy my own food, as well as the couple of days in London either side. So shouldn't be too bad really.
I've got my Nature Valleys, Green & Blacks, and fruit Yoyo's to take as snacks on the tours. But coz of where we will be going we wont have access to shops or restaurants or anything. I am guessing that the food will probably be pretty healthy. All the food research I've done seems to point towards local, fresh produce. So :D

I'm terrible at eating out. But unless I'm being particularly saintly I tend to have whatever I want, because I don't eat out very often and it's a nice treat. And one meal out of a potential 21 in a week off plan isn't too bad really :) I've relaxed a bit more with this recently coz I really used to stress myself out. But I am getting better at just getting on with it. Can't let SW totally run my life. Besides, it's all about compromise isn't it/ Eat healthy 80% or more of the time and you can be naughty the other 20% without causing damage.

I know what you mean about being in control of your food though. I do freak out a bit going to other people's houses!

I did a teeny bit of work. I edited my assignment a little bit and found some pictures for this one and the post-op recovery one. Sent it all off to my mentor. I've said as long as she thinks it's a pass can we just send 'em and move on. Just want it done!

I also completely de-poo'd the garden, did a bit clean on both bunny hutches, had Ralph and Ramona out in the run for a bit, did loads of dishes, and tidied up a bit. And quite a bit of research on theings to do, see, and eat on holiday ;) It's been a while since I researched and needed reminding. We have a vague idea of what to do on our days off, but the plan is once we've been transferred to our b&b and had a shower (3 days dog sledding is going to make us disgusting! :p) we're going to head to the tourist office :)

Have got such a bad headache and just realised the time, so I think I'd better go to bed.
Night all.xx

Great stuff being so productive (unlike me!)
Forgot to say before but would love to see those baby chinchilla pics!
Goodnight dear x

Haha! I have my productive days, but I'm pretty good at doing bugger all too. When my course is over in October I can go back to doing absolutely nothing on my days off :p Well, apart from looking after my animals and the house. But you get what I mean lol.

I don't have any on the 'puter from when Bernard was a baby. He was pre-digital camera lol!

Thursday: Had another bad night. I got about 7 hours sleep, but it was filled with very 'busy' vivid dreams. So I'm rather tired. Have a b*stard of a headache again too.
Just watching the penguin programme on catch-up. Dave loves this show!
I've put one set of bunnies in the outdoor run and gonna swap them round in a min. Have put washing out too. And need to do another quick de-poo. Determined to keep on top of it while the weather is nice.

I really need to start my next assignment, but need to wait for pain killers to kick in first.

I made a nice big (huge) pan of chilli for me and Mum for tea. Got 2 portions left over :D Not one of us had a bag of Quorn mince, so I had to pinch my Sister's bag of Steak pieces. Only used half, but still gotta pay her for it all :p Anyway, it was really nommy and super veg heavy! I did onion, garlic, chestnut mushrooms, 3 types of peppers, courgette, sweetcorn, cherry tomatoes, mixed Mexican beans, small tin of refried beans, chopped tomatoes, and seasoning stuff. I have a sachet of seasoning, but I know it's quite spicy and Mum wouldn't have it. I'll save it for next time ;)
