Cheryls Dukan diary

Awwww thank you hun. I am of course very bias and dont get me wrong like all other kids he can be a little so and so but i love him so much and when i feel a little upset now i give him a hug and he makes it seem brighter.

He does and when i think of all the hurt i went through to get him although that will never ever leave me and not a day goes by when i dont think about it, i realise how so very lucky i am.
Sorry feeling a little emotional again

Don't be sorry :) sharing's good xxxx

emotions aren't a bad thing - there's a reason they call it an emotional journey..

don't bottle them up, that's far worse :) we're ( I don't speak for myself only with this one) ALL here for you - you're a lovely lady and it's great chatting with you.

Feel free to rant, unload, vent as much or as little as you like :) <you've seen me do it on my diary> lol xxx

well in that case I'd like to rant how I've had 3 migraines in the last 3 days :( and I'm not flippin happy about it

sick of feeling like my head's about to split open :(

that do ya? :D

Feel free babes. Migranes due to staring at the computer screen for too long????? Lol. Probably stress honey. Rant all you like. xxx

Sarah - any idea what causes your migraines? I've a friend who can't eat chocolate or cheese without getting one...

Chez - one problem with Oliver having a mate is that very soon his social life will FAR exceed your own, and you'll be little more than a glorified chauffeur! I've seen it happen to my friends! "No I can't come to dinner, I've got to take little X to swimming, then pick up little Y from wherever"... grrrrr! (He sounds lovely...!!)

So have we decided where your treat out is going to be? Dinner, pub and crawl home was where I left the story...?

Let's not go there! Eldest has been promoted at handball (training sessions 6.30pm-8pm - for now Tues and Thurs but soon to change to either one or the other plus Fridays:cry:. I think he may miss a few sessions;)). Sore point just now!

give him the car keys... you know you want to!

Lol i feel like that already Jo! My life here has been non existant really coz we are so far out of the way. Ive started making "new" friends, which happen to be his friends mums so we can sit and have a drink while they play. Im lucky that with shifts most of the time we are both here at night to do the running about (when it starts). We have also decided that if we stay here we will move the shed and put a little summer house in for him and all his friends to go in. It saves them hanging around in the local park as unless you can drive there really is no where to go.
His wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet were delivered today. Carpet on mon and his bed next sat i think. Its all coming together but i still cant find another wardrobe. The one i wanted in ikea was showing in stock so we took both cars to fit it all in and drove 40miles there to find out the person on the phone had lied and its been out of stock for quite some time!
Peppa has just been collected so i now have a calm dog again. Off to collect oliver from school in an hr then wash my hair. I think we are just going to that very quaint little pub that we went to before as we want intimate and cosy and its certainly that with great food and not far so wont cost us a mortgage to get home!

I love (and miss so much) quaint little pubs. Have a lovely evening Chez... and a photo would be nice! aaaah I'm feeling homesick now... (I'm thinking real fire... beams... lovely!! ohhh that'll be me tonight in the country - well log burner and one room still has visible beams!)

Robin - I thought he was about 4 so glad you don't have as long to wait as I'd feared! Is it only 16 over here? My officemate is doing the accompanied driving thingy with her son and it's testing their relationship big time!!

Accompanied is 16, yes. I'll probably not go with him that much though, his Dad is definitely a more confident driver. I hate speed and don't trust anyone (they never indicate here, don't know what it's like in Paris? Then again, I'd never be brave enough to drive in Paris, I won't even do Lyon).

Then he'll need a car...

Lol ok imagine car parked, walk through their very pretty little garden to go in via the back door. Up a narrow hall and into the pub. To the right you have 6 tables all neatly laid and a big open roaring fire. To the left the bar and a few little odd hidey holes (the one we sat in last time had 2 tables both for 4 people. Old wooden beams, real ale barrels as this pub make their own and hops hanging from the beams. The most welcoming atmosphere and loveliest food ive had in a very long time, all homemade.
Sod it we are going there again. Its about 3miles from home but in the summer you can walk through the field opposite and get there in about 10mins.

Oliver is 3 1/2 and sits on our laps to drive around the school car park (its in the village park) after his friends have all left!

I learned to drive over here, and had all my lessons here in Paris... (but the test centres are in the suburbs so I can't actually say I took my test in Paris, cos you can't!)

With the Paris speed limit of 30mph (50kph for us Robin!), I'm perfectly happy at that speed! haaaaa!

My friend (single Mum) and her son are doing it in the suburbs where they live but I think I'd feel scared without dual controls with a learner driver!

Sounds perfect... so you'll walk through the field to get there... and go the 3 mile way on your knees to get home?

It's a shame that so many of the quaint pubs in England have had to sell out to food chains to keep going... as a constant dieter knows, we don't want food that often, but it's lovely to go for a [diet coke] in a pub (and I hate those machines they whizz it out of and it goes flat immediately! I like bottles of pop!)

(and a straw and a packet of crisps!)
