Claire Bear's shrinking mission

I am so pleased that you have continued to do so well since I was last on here ClaireBear, you really are inspiring to me! 2st8lb in a month and a half basically is just incredible! I wish I could be even half as committed as you! Must make myself come on here and read your diary daily to try and help me keep on track!

Thanks BlueCow! just trying to plod on with my plan, and hoping it'll continue...

TOTM finally came today after a bit if a wait. feel so much better for it, was getting SERIOUSLY moody!!

Had friends over at the weekend, feel really awkward eating my SF stuff in front of them, so had to substitute for normal good, but used MFP to work out the values and stay witih my limit, Worked out fine. went a but over and had 1800 cals on Saturday, but not too worried about that.

Had to go to London yesterday for a meeting, and ended up having a few glasses of wine with workmates after with. that also meant my cals were up a bit, but back on the wagon today...

Shake for breakfast, meal bar for lunch, apple in the afternoon and SF snack bar on the bus on the way home. For dinner had chicken and chorizo pie - recipe I got from good food magazine but have substituted some ingredients to make it healthier (use filo instead if puff pastry, using half fat creme fraiche instead if cream), had my pie with a heap of peas and broccoli to bulk it out.

weigh in on Saturday, if I've stayed the same this week I'll be pleased!!

you've got to have a life and enjoy yourself - and it definitely sounds like you did! :)

Good luck hun x

good on you hun the pie sounds nice

Thanks all for the comments.

Another 2lb off this week - really pleased. Although I crave the bigger losses, actually it's working out at 1-2lb a week, which is just right.

Had a an evening out in London this week with a few glasses of wine. also had a piece of cake at a meeting yesterday, so it have. A loss this week is great. Planning to go out with friends for Sunday lunch this weekend, so will need to be good the rest if the week to counter balance.

Still enjoying the shakes and meal bars, so all still working for me at the moment.

thanks

Just discovered sweet n salt popcorn - 78 cals a bag so ideal for one of my snacks... YUM

That's the way that keeps it sustainable! :) Well done love! :) xx (sainsburys have a multipack of 6 popcorn that is flavoured - but around 80 cals a bag)

Hey Claire when is your holiday to Mexico? You are doing really well :) I have started having either chocolate or vanilla shake for breakfast and putting coffee in it. I just can't stomach a shake... a cup of green tea AND a coffee in the morning so have had to combine them! Xx

Sweet and salty popcorn is amazing. I get the smallish bags from tesco and they're around a similar calorie mark :D

thanks guys!

Vicky - Mexico Holiday is 21st March, so a little way off yet. was hoping to get to 23 stone by Xmas, which is a big task but might be achieve able if I stay in track. Was actually hoping to be 20 stone by Mexico holiday, which I know is not very likely, but. I want to aim for it and see how far I can get.

Am trying to up my activity level a bit. have managed to get in 30-40 min walk each day for the last couple of days. I have a treadmill at home I need to get back on to, and also want to try the Lesley sansome DVDs too.

Have had a few nice days out recently, which mean deviating from the plan, but these days are sent as treats and help us to get through. Really need a good week now though to get back on track.

Today Was a shake for breakfast, then a banana mid morning, bag of popcorn around 2pm and finally had my meal bar at about 4pm. SF snack bar on the bus home, and pizza express pizza and salad for dinner.

I don't normally come over to this section but one lovely lady posted in the main weight loss diary place where I hang out before moving to wemitts and I check in on her from time to time. Hope you don't mind that I read your diary - I think you are bloody amazing!! Talk about motivated - your focus in Frankfurt really awesome and you have lost so much already. Your bf and family must be very proud of you and you should be so proud of yourself xx

Well done on your loss so far. I'm so pleased I found you and the others on WeMITTS, I've a way to go and you're an inspiration. Look forward to marvellous Mexico! Good luck.

You can do it hun!! :) Even if you don't quite make it - it's a hell of an achievement to get where you are and all losses are excellent. Have my fingers crossed tight for you xx

I'd like to lose 1st 9lb for Christmas so I'm totally with you for your 1st 6lb too. We can do it! xx

Thanks everyone for the kind words. in particular welcome to Angel on your first week, best of luck Hun xxxx

Am ensuring I have an in plan week, which for me means shake for breakfast, meal bar for lunch, usually an apple and/or banana snacks and a SF snack. Sticking to hairy dieter meals, because they are reeeeally tasty, and just ensuring I divide up the portions accurately or weigh my portions out. I track everything on MFP which also is a big help.

Today has been strawberry shake for breakfast, banana mid morning, berry meal bar, apple afternoon snack and having hairy dieters chicken fajitas for tea.

I think considering the date you started and even how much weight you've already lost, regardless off where you are at christmas, you've done so well and should be so proud of yourself. I think you won't be too far off your target if not having actually achieved it for christmas :)

Keep up the hard work xx

thanks - I hope I can keep it up!!

To be be honest Bluecow, I'm not really one for weighing stuff out, but I had to take a hard look at myself when starting this diet and the reason that slimfast works for me is that it's fixed portions - no way of cheating,

I realised that the reason I got so overweight is down to greediness on my part, so if I allowed myself to guess portion size, I just KNOw I'd give myself a bigger portion than I should have. Eyes bigger than stomach problem. I'm also really crap at knowing when. I'm full, i literally eat until. I feel sick. I don't know how to change that, but. I know sticking to this plan means I get what I need and therefore my greediness/need for bigger portions just doesn't come into it.
Tracking on MFP is really really useful too. I tend yo work out in advance how much I can have of something so I know what to weigh out

This morning I had a strawberry shake, I was delivering a workshop at a local university today and so ended in spending a lot of the breaks chatting yo students or preparing myself for the sessions, so I ended up only having an apple and a bag of popcorn for lunch. I the left my lunch bag behind by mistake (boo!!!) so stopped on the way home to have one of those Rice Krispie squares - only 119 cals so figured ok for a snack. Tonight I'll have scampi and chips and peas.

Thanks for the welcome Bigbear. I love Hairy bikers! Once I've got down I bit I might do something similar to yourself. I need to make headway first to keep me going and I'm loving not having to decide on food! Hope you have a good day tomorrow.
