But look at how much you've lost already and kept it off... that's the key not how fast it comes off but being able to sustain it and do it for life...

You go girl.... :)

Cheers Mrs! I feel petty and sad for moaning but Im jealous Iwant to lose weight like that lol but I also want to eat - hmmmm eating wins lol

I know how you feel. I'd be the same way too. On the up-side, you get to eat :D and at the end of the day your mum will have to get her body used to eating food AGAIN and the amount of times I hear of people doing CD (my mum included a few years ago) and then plonking weight back on .. plus more.. as soon as they start to eat. As tempted as I have been to go on CD or lipotrim to get the weight off quickly (I still need to lose 8 more stone) I'd rather eat and be able to socialise than have to drink shakes all day.

You stick at it.. you've done so well already. Keep it up :D

You are doing great Claire... and who is to say that the CD would be good for you.

In fact I don't think it is a good thing as the body needs more substance than a shake. then think of all the hard work you will have to do afterwards. Also it isn't going to be cheap is it to eat nothing if you know what I mean.

You stick at it and your beautiful as you are anyway!

I saw my old CDC in Tesco and she said that she had been trying to call me as they had a special offer on. I told her that there was no way I could go back to not eating again. I only went on CD because I thought that it was my last chance, that nothing else would work. Then I looked into SW and realised that if I planned I would be able to do it and I have managed to stick with it this time. Its the longest I have ever managed to stay on a diet.

At least you are making the right changes for life and not just a quick fix.

CD is dangerous, thats the short blunt way of putting it.....yes, it works and quickly too, but for some people there are nasty side effects, I was severly constipated (sorry to those that have eaten) and a friend of mine lost her hair! Whilst these side effects are very few, they can happen. Lets face it, your body needs food to eat, you starve yourself with CD the weight comes off so quickly that in most cases you end up having surgery to remove folds of skin.
I personally would never ever consider this plan again....I stopped and gained 1 stone in 1 week, just from eating sensibly....lossing it quickly and then gaining it just as quickly is not good on your heart either.
Sorry to stand on my little soap box, but people need to be aware of what happens, not just the glorified "I lost shed loads of weight" part.
Here endeth the lesson!!! Lol

I think it's all been said Claire. I can understand while you would be jealous of her loss and annoyed at the 'quick fix' route she is taking but you are the healthy one. There are some really nasty bugs going around at the moment and it's not the time to be risking lowering your immune system. Also, abstaining from any food groups can create an intolerance to some thing so in the long term your mum may not be able to tolerate some foods when she goes back to eating properly. VLCD's are definately not for me, I love my food too much!

THANK YOU GUYS!

You are Brill!!

I feel loads better and watching her eat a manky soup the smell was VILE!

Also I think her breath smells a bit :(

Just think Claire...you are loosing weight and still eating!!! It is coming off at a rate that is good for your heart and body.

Take care
