** Claire's low carb blah blah chit chat gabbing **

I'm so bored at work :-(

Cheers Hun. I think it could well be cos I've had an extra day off this week which is the most time off in a fair few months so I'm playing catch up with relax time, catching up on sleep n generally sitting on my butt. I'm telling myself it's cos my body needs the rest lol. Got the quack later, might bring it up then maybe.

Migraines Claire, not nice love.

oh no :( they are awful. have you had beta blockers?

I get a migraine when i wear urban decay brown eyeshadow. wierd!

Whilst in the RAF I tried all the cure meds but they only made me feel sick n did nothing for the migraines.

Mid last yr finally decided to try things again with my civvie Drs. Tried inderel beta blockers at first which worked at first but then I got awful pounding heart n had 2 migraines in 2 days.

I've now been on Amitriptyline for 2 n half months n only had 1 so far (touch wood!). Used to have 2 a week!

I was told once they could be diet related Claire?

yes Lisa said quorn brings hers on.
I took beta blockers for them before (take them for others reasons now) have also got amitriptyline (off my boss to help me sleep oops).

I was on amitryptiline for 16 years... my body didn't know how to get off to sleep when I came off them! Haven't had a headache since coming off them & low carbing either. x

I've had them for 11yrs now, tried the food thing keeping diaries etc but there's never been a pattern. Only thing I can consistently put em down to is stress n tiredness. Did u take it for migraines? If so do u mind me asking how much u were on per day? I'm currently taking 50mg.

Back from town. Bought a celeriac - get me hey, so frivolous! Having a slight technical afternoon. Bought a second hand pc screen from someone i know last month and already had a hands free mouse and keyboard. Blagged a free computer desk last month (it was a bargain month - i was on a mission!). So i've finally got round to setting them all up with my lappy in my spare room. Yay, go me! lol

Got a real bloaty windy belly today, i think it's just the remnants of yesterdays thorntons toffee binge.

Out for another walk to the dr's in about an hour.

Busy busy Claire :D

I took them as I used to get chronic tension headaches due to the fact that the membranes surrounding my brain would go into spasm... I was on 250mg at my highest & really couldn't function, I was like a zombie & didn't realise how badly til I came off them... took me 18 months to wean myself off them. Had 2 mri scans since then & everythings looking normal!
