Here is a link that will tell you a bit about the charity if you are interested

About main page

Im not technically selling them, but if anyone is willing to make a small donation (whatever they can spare) to my just giving page -even if just to cover postage costs I would really appretiate it..
http://www.justgiving.com/JILL-HODGE

Any donation can be made straight to my just giving page which means there is no money changing hands :D
Feel free to give me or PM if you are interested in anything
The beady book marks etc I am selling too -I have loads more not uploaded as I wasn't sure anyone would be interested...:p

Hi Capricorn. Hope you don't mind me borrowing your idea of asking for donations to a charity rather than selling unwanted clothes? It s such a good way of helping out.

Not at all :D
I gave loads of my biggest stuff away before I signed up for my trek, now I have stuff that has never been worn :copon: so I thought I may as well have a bit of money go to my fund raising rather than have the stuff languish in my cupboard...
Hope you raise plenty for your charity too... who are you raising for?

ShinyShimmy -all of the stuff is still available (really need to get the other stuff sorted too) -just give me a PM when you hit 50 posts and let me know what you might be interested in

Hi All
I have decided to borrow Capricorns idea of giving away my unwanted clothes for charity. The Charity is called Walking with Giants. They provide support for sufferers of Primordial Dwarfism. Its a very rare condition, affecting about 200 children in the UK, about 400 worldwide. Its so rare that there is very little understood about the condition, and no real specialist in the UK. Basically, the children are born very small (less than 3Lbs), but completely in proportion. They rarely grow above 3ft tall, and generally suffer a number of health problems. You can find out more www.walkingwithgiants.org

My justgiving page is
http://www.justgiving.com/sarahcarter1966/

The reason I'm doing this is that my youngest niece Charlotte was born with the condition 3 1/2 years ago. She was 1lb 11oz when she was born and is now 8lbs 7oz. She's one of the smallest primordial dwarfs in the world (we like to go the whole hog in my family!). This charity has given my sister and her husband so much support and hope in so many ways. They also help with my sisters other 3 children, who rightly, could feel slightly left out having a very little sister who needs 24 hour care.

Most clothes will have been worn a couple of times. Some stuff will neve have been worn. Its all stuff from Next, Wallis, etc.

Any questions, just PM me.
Thanks for reading x

Hi there! Such a great idea. I am a frequent user of freecycle. I got rid of loads of stuff that was decent but that I couldn't be bothered to sell before I moved last year. So I didn't feel guilty about receiving lots of baby items when I found out I was pregnant! And of course when I have finished with it, I'll pass it onto someone else...

I am in a wardrobe rut at the moment. I am currently a size 16 down from an 18 immediately post birth and I have nothing that fits me as I was a size 12 before the baby, and I hope eventually to get down to an 8-10...

Anyone have any size 14-16s to offer? I will soon be offering size 16-18 items as well as some maternity clothes (still wearing some of it!) to the thread...

Glad this is still going strong. When it was at its peak it really went from strength to strength. We are moving house so Im on with sorting everything!

P.S the intiail idea was to swap and just pay the price of postage not to actually sell the clothes, but the idea of donating to a charity instead is a nice one x

Yes I didn't want to say but I thought it was a bit sad that selling was going on! After all, if you give to the pot as well as receive then everybody should benefit at some time regardless...

Pregnant at the moment and will be posting gym kit soon as won't be needing it for a while

No that's cool Emsie - totally understand!

Debtdummy - no need to get rid of gym kit, I carried on going to the gym til I was about 37 weeks! Did need to get kit in a bigger size though!

Seriously though, a bit of gentle exercise is fine, especially after 12 weeks. I used to just walk on the treadmill with a slight incline or go on the x-trainer, I always wore a heart rate monitor to keep my HR below a safe level (140 BPM). You can even use weights, just keep the weights light and don't go on any machines that put pressure on your tummy.

For me, doing abit of exercise made me feel better, have a bit more energy and stop me feeling achey and stiff. Just listen to your body (it's amazing how in tune with your body you get when you're pregnant) to find a level of exertion you're happy with. Obviously check with your dr or mw first. x

I'll have a sort out tomorro as promised.
Does anyone have any size 22 clothes that they no longer need and would willingly pass on for the price of postage xxx
